I had been calling the North Pacific Dermatology office for over a year, when my adult acne just started, consistently being told that Nicole Prevo Kageyama was not accepting new patients. No waitlist to make things easier. I had called other dermatologist and was getting the same response of not accepting new patients. Eventually, I was informed that she had hired a new PA-C when I called, Kieu Dang, and I was finally able to book an appointment--three months out--for 10/8/2025. I showed up prepared to discuss my primary concern, which was acne, but I also wanted to address several additional issues that appeared from the time I scheduled the appointment to 10/8: hair loss, stye eye, eczema on my eyelid, and a new burn. Unfortunately, the appointment lasted only 10-15 minutes. I was told that only my acne would be addressed during this visit, and that I would need to book separate appointments for the other concerns. During the short time I had, I was prescribed three medications with very little explanation. Told I needed to take them for life. Kieu Dang simply looked at my skin and mentioned that I had various types of acne without specifying what they were. No blood work was done, and aside from a light scan on my face, no in-depth examination took place. She recommended CeraVe and Cetaphil--brands I had already tried without success--and showed no empathy or personalized care. Her overall demeanor lacked any sense of customer service or attentiveness. It was incredibly disappointing to invest three hours of my day, including the commute, for such a brief and unhelpful appointment. After waiting over a year and trying multiple treatments in the meantime--facials, microneedling, chemical peels--I had hoped for a more thoughtful and thorough medical consultation. From a patient standpoint, this was one of the worst experiences I've had with a healthcare provider on 10/8/2025. Kieu was much better in my follow-up on 10/9/2025. She showed signs of empathy, understanding, curiosity, and personalized treatment. The explanation for treatment and prevention for my eye eczema and burn was explained with detail by providing background. I was happy to see this change in less than 24 hours in her care. I appreciate a physician being flexible in their care and taking feedback. read more

TERRIBLE for follow up support. I came in one time for a mole removal and it was incredibly effective and time efficient. For this singular visit, I thought the office was fabulous and came in for another issue that required ongoing support, but had terrible follow up support! My issue was inflamed, and I couldn't be seen by anyone for WEEKS despite being a return patient. They don't have My Chart to request prescription refills. You have to call and going through their tedious outgoing options, only then I had to call again because there was NO response after DAYS. I was told the MD needed to approve so I had to "request" they ask the MD for the approval since the MD was "busy" and hadn't gotten to it yet. read more

I always had great care there they were super friendly and got rid of my cystic acne. But started to have to go somewhere else because they started ignoring my calls because they believed that I had "state insurance" through United healthcare. I told them MULTIPLE times that it was through my mom's job and they were verified on my insurance. They wouldn't take my as a client, and talked down on my mom and I like we were garbage. A lawsuit waiting to happen maybe get better front desk people and you'd be golden! read more

I had an appointment scheduled for today, and I had to wait over 2 months to get in. This morning I received a phone call at 7:30am that my appointment for today has been cancelled because of low staffing. I call during my lunch hour, and wouldn't you guess it, they are closed during lunch. So I call back around 1:05pm, and the person places me on hold before asking if that's OK. Then when the lady comes on the line and I express my frustration, because the Dr's will charge you a fee if you cancel the day of the appointment, but it's OK for them to do it without warning, she calls me rude, tells me to find another office and hangs up on me! Wow, it has taken over 2 months to receive no help. I am beyond frustrated at this point.--Ed read more

While the care was fine, the billing is a disaster. I gave them a photo of my Medicare card and my gap insurance. It should have been fine as it is from all the multiple appointments I had in other medical practices. Each month I would receive a bill and each month I was told it was straitened out; not to worry. This happened month after month after month. Last week I received a collections notice and my bill i ZERO. I am in contact with an attorney and if my credit score is diminished I will be taking legal action. They need to get their act together. I have enough stress in my life as it is read more

They are all super nice at this clinic and very professional. The place is super clean and modern, definitely a plus! I do my annual check ups here since I feel super comfortable with the staff, and know exactly what to expect each time. They're kind, courteous, and patient with me during each appointment all awhile super efficient allowing me to be in and out in no time. read more

If I could give Zero stars and write a review zero stars would be my review! NP Dermatology in Renton has the worst fronted staff I have ever experienced. Extremely unprofessional & rude. As far as the dr's I have no comment as I have not gotten past the rude staff. I don't know why physicians don't check their staff with "secret patients" There are plenty of dermatologist out there that are probably fabulous but they haven't checked their staff's ability to represent them in positive manner. Thank goodness for reviews. I use to be a patient here but I moved out of the area. Well I have a new employer now in the area and wanted to schedule an appointment. What a nightmare. To start no one ever answers the phone. I've left several messages and never received a call back. When I finally got a live person, the receptionist couldn't make an appointment for some reason. I assumed they were heading to lunch be to was never given a reason as to why. Anyhow, she promised to call me back within an hour. I knew she wouldn't but I gave her my information in hopes I was wrong. Well, she never called back and I ended up leaving another voicemail. My intuition told me to check yelp and I'm glad I did. Their customer service is clearly not a priority so I wouldn't want to waste my hard earned money here. I'm sure I can find someone else in the area who takes pride in answering and returning phone calls as promised. read more

I have been seeing Dr. Kageyama since she began her practice in Renton. I am very impressed with her skill and compassion. She found pre-cancerous spots that my previous dermatologist missed. The day before my wedding, I broke out with cold sores. I called Dr. K's office and of course they were booked all day, but Dr. K saw me after work, gave me free samples, and never even sent me a bill. Yes, she is very busy, as are all doctors now, but she listens and remains compassionate. read more

Gina and everyone at NPD are incredible. I so appreciate how quickly I am in to see Gina, how good Gina and her assistant is with me. Everyone at the front desk is very helpful and pleasant. They explain everything so I am completely understanding any skin issues I might have. Everyone at the front desk is very helpful and pleasant. I would highly recommend NPD. read more

Throughly disgusted at the treatment I received at North Pacific Dermatology in Crescent City,CA on December 2nd, 2021. Upon entering NPD I instantly was met with snide, rude and glaring looks from the receptionist. As I approached her desk she made the comment " you know your supppse to wear a mask " I replied, no problem I can cancel my appointment because I can't wear mask. Instead of saying great let's cancel your appointment she continued to belittle me. Then as I was entering the area heading to the examination room, she yet again stopped me to tell me I was mean to her, playing the victim to something she started. I never once raised my voice to her or be mean. She escalated the encounter when it could have been stopped immediately. To be clear in close to 2 years I have never, not once been asked to wear a mask at this business. Then on the 2nd I'm met with hostility and public shame as Linda Guiterrez the receptionist decides to make an example out of me. Three month prior Jessie Vos the PA decides he needs to counsel me about being vaccinated. I explained to him that I do not need his counseling and if he feels threatened or unsafe that I have I haven't been vaccinated I have no problem leaving his office. He actually raised his voice and argued with me about the situation. A conversation that should have taken prior to me ever entering NPD. But on both occasions they waited until I was in the business and attacked me with their policing of my personal beliefs. As if the above wasn't enough, I have had numerous problems with billing, scheduling and mix ups with the receptionist. I have no problem honoring the rights of those who wish to wear or enforce masks whether I agree or not, but I also have the right not to wear them and was happy to leave when she said mask are required. My problem is the instant vile contempt she had for me before one word was even spoken. No one should be treated the way I was. Future patients beware, who knows what will set her off again. read more

I agree with previous reviews on making appointments. I spoke with a receptionist named Nicole. I called in the morning was advised that there were two available slots for this week and next. However, they did not fit with my schedule so they were put on hold for me so I could cancel my pre-existing appointments in order to make it to the clinic during their available slots. After moving my schedule, I called them back and Nicole said that since I was a new patient I had to wait for at least a month before I could be seen. What a total waste of time and effort to move my pre-existing appointments only for the clinic not to keep their word and tell me that I have to wait for at least a month to be seen. I suggest other practices where they don't give you a hard time just to schedule a check up read more

Similar to some others, my wife had issues with the front desk and the billing department. We were charged more than we should have been given our insurance. My wife tried to explain our insurance benefits but the front desk staff was argumentative and belittling. Since that visit I have spent about 2 hours on the phone with the billing department trying to rectify the situation, and each time they say they aren't sure why we were charged and that a refund will be issued. It has now been 2 months since the visit and we are still waiting on a refund of $185 that we never should have paid in the first place. I don't believe a simple visit to a Dr. should involve this many headaches and we will be using a different dermatologist in the future. read more

The office was closed when I arrived for my appointment, even though they made me confirm my appointment the day before and sent an appointment reminder the morning of the appointment. No one was there after my 40 minute drive. When I tried to reschedule the appointment, they would not consider a credit for their failure to notify me of the cancelled appointment, my time off from work, and my waste of a morning. Even though their appointment book online showed appointments available for the next day, the receptionist wouldn't book me for another 20 days. I booked another appointment anyway. Then the receptionist called me back and forgot what time I had scheduled. I then got emailed appointment confirmations for 9:30AM, 2:30PM, and 2:40PM. This kind of treatment doesn't inspire confidence. Pretty terrible first impression. I cancelled and went to another clinic that booked me for the next day. read more

If you need to get in for an appt quickly you can usually book in here faster than most dermatology offices that sometimes have a wait time of 6-8 weeks before you can get in. However, the downside here is that both Dr. Nicole Kageyama, MD and Gina Fragione PA-C are both very rushed when they see you thus not very thorough which is not a good feeling when you have something serious going on. So I think I would rather wait the 6-8 weeks for an appointment elsewhere to get the quality and time I deserve as a patient then be rushed through my appointment feeling like I didn't get the time and analysis I deserve. read more

This was the second time I was in. I saw Gina Fragione both times. The first time she spent more time complimenting me on my clothes and jewelry than looking at my skin. This time she was so rude. In and out in 1 minute while never making any eye contact. I will never return Also front desk gals tacky and unprofessional! Find a better place! It should be easy! Ps my friend went there recently and had same experience I did! read more

I saw Dr. Gina Fragione about 4 years ago for eczema on my finger and I'm so glad I did! She prescribed me an ointment and it worked miracles. Whenever my eczema flares up, I put the ointment on right away and it's gone by the next day. I use the same tube of ointment to this day. I went back to see Gina for another skin issue and she was fabulous, yet again! She's very personable and friendly. She made me feel comfortable about an issue that can be embarrassing. She gave great medical advice and prescribed a cream for the problem. I read some of the other reviews about the staff and I would like to say that I had a very pleasant experience with everyone I encountered during my visit. The receptionists were lovely and checked me in with ease. I was also happy with the nurse who brought me into my room and asked questions before the doctor came in. Like Gina, she also made me feel very comfortable and at ease. Overall, I would recommend Gina and this clinic to anyone! read more

Stay Away from this office! They DO NOT tell you beforehand any pricing OR let you select the product that suits YOUR finances. I went in for botox and fillers ( which I've been doing since 2012, so this isn't my first rodeo ) I've never spent over $1700.00, and, most of the time it's been between $1200.00, and $1500.00 dollars. I had to go in for skin pre-cancerous removal, So, I thought since I was there, I'd have botox and fillers... ( I ONLY needed touch-ups, NOT A FACE FULL of fillers ) they numb me up and started injecting without asking what my budget was, or what I'd had in the past. if Dr. Kageyama had told me she was going to charge me almost THREE THOUSAND DOLLARS for this procedure... I'd of told her to only give me the $150.00 that I HAD TO PREPAY mind you. Which they were supposed to deduct from my balance, which they never did, and then charged me TWO FREAKING THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED, SEVENTY-SEVEN DOLLARS!!!! This is outrageous!!! When I called, I was given a line of crap and brushed off. When I also complained that I now have this thick worm-like thing on the side of my face, again, was brushed off.. this is NOT A GOOD OFFICE, DR, OR PRACTICE.. I'm tired of Doctors getting away with crap, and not being called on the carpet for.. AND GETTING AWAY WITH THIS B.S. STAY AWAY STAY AWAY.. read more

I absolutely love North Pacific Dermatology! I have an extreme phobia of the doctor's office (to the point I'm in tears and I'm 24 years old) and seeing my dermatologist is the only appointment I actually look forward to! Gina Fragione has been treating me for acne for a few years now and every time I tell someone I'm headed to the dermatologist they tell me I don't need it. That's the point! I feel like I'm going to see a good friend rather than a doctor. She's unbelievably friendly and professional. It has really helped with my doctor phobia to have someone so patient and personable. She genuinely seems interested in how I'm doing as a person and her bedside manner is superb! Her assistant, Tiffany, is also fantastic! I had a serious ailment that occurred right before I was about to head out on a Caribbean cruise and was panicking. I went to 4 doctors with no luck before one finally suggested that I see my dermatologist. I wish I'd thought of that sooner. Gina responded to my frantic phone call personally and got me in the next day, on her lunch! She figured out what it was and after I started her prescription, I saw results the next day. Gina seriously saved my entire vacation! I am so grateful to have found a doctor who is so professional and kind. I would continue to go to Gina even if I moved out of state. Thanks North Pacific Dermatology! read more

I love the new office. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. I didn't wait at all but was brought right in. Gina is always so kind and efficient. Had an appointment with Gina Fragione and it was the best experience. I didn't feel judge coming in with my concerns, she gave me options and solutions to treat my concern and was very well pleased with my visit. Their front seat receptionist were very kind and efficient. Was in and out in less than 30 minutes. Amazing!!! read more

Gina was friendly and knowledgeable. My appointment started on time, and I think I received the appropriate treatment for my presenting issue. That said, it was quite a whirlwind experience. I did not feel like there was a lot of time for discussing my concerns, and the assessment process and treatment planning happened incredibly quick (and without much consultation with me). Not to mention, there was an intern in the mix, which added to the somewhat chaotic feeling. I left and called my husband, and I immediately said "I'm honestly not sure what just happened." I was in and out the door in about 20 minutes (having multiple procedures in that timeframe - only one of which I intended to have today). On one hand, it was impressive. But on the other hand, it was a bit unsettling. I am still trying to decide exactly what I think about the whole experience, but for now, I am glad that I was able to receive the treatment I needed. I will decide about any future treatment planning once the dust settles. read more

Great service! Very caring and always takes time to talk to you. My daughter has good results with Dr. Fragione's Care.

Dishonest billing practices, and an unresponsive billing contact who doesn't work full time. I was billed for a procedure they didn't even do. Won't ever return again as a patient. read more

I've never felt more embarrassed. I came into the location and from the start felt like it was a transaction more than a inclusive environment. I went in for a skin tag removal in an uncomfortable area to talk about. The nurse called me back 15 minutes after my appointment time and asked the usual question. I waited 5 or so minutes and the dr came in and I could tell she felt uncomfortable. She then did the removal procedure. Which felt rushed, like she was just trying to get through the procedure as apposed to making me feel comfortable. After she finished she rushed to tell me what after care should look like. Then her and her assistant rushed out of the room and left me to get dressed. After getting dressed I walked out of the room to find the assistant on her iPad, I asked if I was okay to leave. Without even turning she just said "yeah, you can go" as I'm leaving I hear the dr that treated me go in to the break room and start talking about my procedure. I heard her say how she had to have back up because of what was happening because of how uncomfortable she felt. The entire break room broke into laughter and congratulated her for making through it. If this is how Dr GINA FRAGIONE conducts business and this establishment feels okay and congratulates that behavior. This is not the place for me and should make you think twice about visiting here read more

I would have to agree with another reviewer about the speed of the exams. It's good if you can point out exact concerns for them to look at. Very disappointed. I had been to the clinic before, but was told that I could not be seen without being able to show my medicare card, which I have lost. Medicare has not yet sent me a replacement, but my card number is simply my social security number with an A after it. Other physicians simply asked for my Social Security number, and that was all they needed. Secondly, my reason for a visit was a rash I developed on my forearms after removing fence vegetation with exposed arms. I was told that appointments were booked through mid December. Presumably my rash will be a faint memory by then. Thanks so much. read more
