When I went to schedule my final appointment, I was told my package had expired six months after purchase -- based on an agreement I supposedly signed five years ago. Not once during my visits was I ever informed that there was an expiration, nor was this policy clearly explained when I purchased the package. These treatments are not cheap, and I would have never spent that kind of money had I known the sessions would expire so quickly. I have suffered with TMJ since the dawn of time, have a hairline fracture in every single tooth from clenching, and chips fixed regularly from grinding- on top of waking up every morning with a headache and jaw pain. Then I went to MD Coté per a word of mouth recommendation from a friend; I got injected with 60 units of Botox on each side of my jaw in my masseters and, honestly, didn't even feel a pinch. The injector has such a light hand that I was shocked when she said we were finished. Fast forward 5 months... now I'm again waking up with headaches and jaw pain and realize that you truly don't know how good you have it until it's gone! Warning!! Do not get the Fire and Ice facial of you have to go into public or a special event in the days following! This facial left me with scabs on my face the next day! This was promoted as one of the best facials and during the facial I specifically asked if there would be any peeling and Linsey stated she had only seen one time and it was because the technician left the product on too long. What is equally disappointing and frustrating is the "Give a S*** attitude " that was communicated when I called and emailed. When I was unsatisfied with Linseys response, I requested to speak or email with Dr Cote or an office manager. CRICKETS! I discovered MD Coté through a former co-worker and was not disappointed! I phoned them and Michelle took the call to schedule for my consultation. Very attentive and professional during the call and instructed me on where to go on the website and how to fill out the paperwork as a new client. When I arrived, I was greeted by Jolene who was quite pleasant but professional. The Medspa scheduled me with Lyndsey for my initial visit. She was extremely knowledgeable, professional, attentive, and courteous and knew all about the HALO laser treatment among a variety of services they offer. She is a licensed aesthetician with many years of experience in performing the procedure. All of the staff is listed on the MD Coté website so you can always see their credentials. Since I've had past a long history of past disappointments with other clinics, I was a little apprehensive going into this at first. But as soon as I walked through the door the day of my treatment, I was warmly greeted and felt welcomed by the front desk and Lyndsey. She allayed my concerns and thoroughly explained herself to make sure my personal needs were met during the procedure and made the visit a very pleasant one. It was a very relaxed atmosphere. DO NOT EVER GO HERE FOR DERMAL FILLERS! I had Ms. Cote, she is not a doctor, inject me with Bellafill. I did tons of research and fell for her wonderful marketing. I'm left with a huge lump underneath my eye that I come to find out 4 years later, IS PERMANENT. Following my concerns I went to see Ms. Cote. She offered me an oral medication. When I explained that my research indicated this was not usually helpful the conversation turned. She began BLAMING ME for not coming in sooner. I asked her if I could perhaps have a refund and she went OFF on me, defensive, angry, unkind, and more or less kicked me out of her office. I've not been back because I don't want her touching my face. PLEASE do NOT EVER GO SEE THIS QUACK. You will REGRET IT. Because of the damage she has done, I am unable to use other fillers from my reputable injector as their safe products can exacerbate more lumps like the one she gave me. I recently went to see Tawnie to get my lips done. I've gotten my lips done two other times by two different injectors and I have to say that I wish I had met Tawnie sooner! You know that feeling when you are so comfortable with someone you feel like you've known them forever? That is instantly how I felt with Tawnie! That aspect is extremely important to me and I knew that I was going to love her! She carefully listened to me, my past lip injection experiences, looked through my lip 'before and after' photos and we talked about a plan of action. I told Tawnie that I was a little nervous about my lips being too big and being too noticeably different. I loved that she accentuated my natural lips by going around the perimeter of my lip line and making the edges more defined, especially my cupid's bow! She also expressed the importance in lifting the smile, so she added filler around my smile lines and below my bottom lip. I could not be happier with the results! I didn't have a single bruise, just a little spot here and there from the injection points and the pain was so very minimal to almost no pain at all!! OVERPRICED. I went in for a tattoo consultation regarding tattoo removal. I was quoted at $1,300 per treatment for an area that is the size of my palm. I went to another location which involves a Picosure laser for the same area and was quoted at $300. I was also told at MD Cote that they require 3 treatments. So my treatment would cost $3,800. I wrote a review here before, but it was removed for some reason, the business. This is not personal, but this is what happened. I recently received a microdermabrasion here by Lyndsey Nirschl. She is very professional and answered all of my (many) questions! Since this was my first time getting a microderm, I was a little nervous but she walked me through the process and I was happy with the results. I noticed dramatic improvement in skin tone and appearance. The skin analysis machine thing was pretty cool too! It gives you feedback on sun damage, dark spots, bacteria, pore size, redness, and more. Overall, it was a great experience. I made an appointment with Dr. Cote because I had a sinus infection, her office was nearby, and they could see me the same day. Dr. Cote was great. However, I soon received a bill in the mail for $350 for "Misc Non Covered Fee". When I called, I was told that this is a fee charged to patients to cover things like website access, same day appointments, etc. Seriously?!? I remember signing anything to this effect upon check in and certainly wasn't told about it or I would have turned around and walked out. The receptionist explained that they sent out a letter in December to patients and that if you didn't respond to the letter, then you would be charged the fee. As I became a patient in Feb, I obviously didn't get the letter. The woman I spoke to was very nice and said she would remove the charge from my chart, but be forewarned. I highly recommend Dr. Cote. What I appreciate more than anything is the honest recommendations she gives. She will never try to convince you to have something done that you shouldn't. I have had 3 visits to Dr. Cote's office so far, one for Botox awesome! The 2nd visit was for a laser treatment, treatment went exactly as described and results were great! The third vist was for another treatment of Botox. Instead of Dr. Cote doing what I thought I wanted, she sent me to her Esthetician, (after my meltdown) Sharaya and I was given other options that would actually have better results in the long run. I actually saw a difference in just two sessions of the skin care regime that was suggested to me. I received a treatment called Bellafill injection in Dec of 2015 In which I was told would decrease my wrinkles long term. I proceeded in the crows feet area they worked heavily on the left eye area where I had most concern with. Long story short this treatment is not meant for the eye area EVER. I ended up with an hard ball that surfaced within the skin called a granuloma. That granuloma grew and had to be surgically removed by a top surgeon . That fee was 3k and after the surgery I was swollen beyond belief bruised, and blackened beyond belief. I am scarred and I am still swollen under the eye area with bruising in which I was told to remove that it will now cost me 7k again caused from the surgery and trauma to this one area. Botox would have worked if not better and I would have saved now at least 6k. I am posting this to be a voice to all woman to please do your research on this before doing any Bellafill injection around the face and more importantly the eye areas or forehead area. I now have few granulomas growing specifically in the forehead area. read more
