The non-refundable $79.00 deposit is criminal. I get that they want to discourage no-shows, but maybe just take credit card info and charge if the person doesn't show up! They don't refund even if you cancel well in advance. What if the pet dies before the appointment? This policy is anti-pet and anti-people. read more

I callled and said I had a sick animal that I was afaid was going to die. They said sorry, no appointments for 10 days. I asked even if it is life or death? They said sorry. That is crappy. I will never call, go or recommend anyone to this place. Shame on you people and you lack of customer service and empathy. read more

They used to be good. We had a family dog that we took here in the when I was a kid decades ago and they were fine. My dad took his dog here 2001- 2013 and they were good vets. I took my own dog here in 2010 and they were very good *at that time*. But those vets seemed to have retired or moved on. Now they are replete with millennial vets who know three things about your pet. They know 1 Jack 2 Diddly and 3 Squat My dad's most recent dog died this year and they, the dog's vet, couldn't work out what was wrong with it. Their tests were incorrect, they spent approximately $500 of my money getting her tested with multiple other tests when they were just, well... incompetent. We might have been able to save the dog had we caught the problem sooner. Education has changed. Universities shifted their resources out of the classroom to administrators. Professors don't have the bandwidth for tantrums and have been handing out passing grades to everyone that graced their halls for the past 20 years. Don't trust the knowledge of a millennial practitioner of any sort. Until you *see it proven* , it just isn't there. read more

We've been taking our Greyhound here for years, driving from north of Green Bay. Dr. Byom does the work for the group from whom we adopted her, and with good reason! We've always been very happy with the service and care we have received here. But recently I was reminded of it. Our Greyhound has been having trouble breathing lately, so off to the vet we go. After a few diagnostic tests, the problem was pinpointed. While there is surgical treatment, we have opted to treat her medically, and not subject her to the surgery. Dr. Byom has shown the utmost of professionalism, and caring. He agreed with our choices, and gave us options to make her more comfortable. He asked us to call to update him on her progress. This man CARES about his clients! The rest of the staff is wonderful, as well. They always comment on how wonderful our girl is! They obviously love the pets they see daily! Oh...and prices: I swear they did not charge us nearly enough (I am okay with that!). Our bill this week was amazingly low for all they did for our girl! What a pleasant surprise! read more

I brought my eastern box turtle to this place to get an abscess drained They told me they probably have to use anesthesia to knock my turtle out to drain it I told them no if you let me hold my turtle I can keep his head out and all you gotta do is make the incision she takes my turtle to a different room without me comes back 10 minutes later tell me she tied but it didnt work so I'm gonna have to knock your turtle out Which cost $60-80 I told her do not steal the wound it needs to stay open so it can finish draining When she brings my turtle back to me she sealed the wound The turtle was messed up from the anesthesia So she tells me they gotta keep my turtle overnight When I come back the next day to pick it up I noticed the bottom of the small tote i brought it in is really warm she tells me have a heating pad under there I told them you do not heat a turtle from the bottom it can burn them and kill them Right then in there I knew they didn't know what they were doing when It came to reptiles Then 3 days later I have to bring him back to get it drained again which they charge me more money for for even though they're the ones that made the mistake so if you love your reptile avoid this place at all cost They may know what they're doing with dogs and cats but they definitely have no idea how to treat reptiles properly read more

North Heights is a wonderful caring clinic. We have been going for at least 15 years. Yes they could use some updating, but then their prices would probably go up. We have had several of our fur family that needed to leave us. They are sensitive to your situation and give you as much time as you need, even letting you leave by their back door if you don't want to go thru the lobby. It is the type of place you feel like their family and really care about your pets. Everyone can have a bad day, but for another person to say the whole clinic is bad, maybe that person was having the bad day. Give them a try and you will not regret it. read more

Absolutely horrible. The facility is cramped and dated, and the staff, especially management, have zero warmth, sensitivity and compassion for sick pets or their owners. All you are is a number (or an inconvenience) to them, and all they see is dollar signs. Be prepared to receive the same cold treatment by the receptionist, the tech, the doctor, and "the boss". We have had three pets there, and learned this the hard way. We will never go back, there are several other options in the Fox Cities that are 1000x better and more caring than these people. read more

Yeah, apparently it was too hard to tell me that buying the ear drops and putting them in myself cost 1/2 as much as them doing a "one time" treatment. So when they told me for the shampoo and ear treatment it was over $70 I almost fell over. I let them know in no uncertain terms that I did not appreciate their inconsideration and failure to tell me about the costs difference. I will be going elsewhere. read more

We have been taking our animals to NHVC for many years and always had been pleased with the service. But lately there must have been a change in management and the way they do business. As an example we took our dog in to have it checked for a limp that had developed. We were told he had some arthritis and could be the cause. They wanted to take an Xray to know for sure and we agreed. They took the Xray and "didnt have time to talk to us" when completed. I asked to view the Xray and they said I would have to schedule a "consultation" with the vet and of course another charge. I refuse to pay to see an xyay I have already paid for. This place has changed big time and I agree with the other poster, "All they see is dollar signs." Needles to say after going there for over 30 years I will not go back with any of my animals. read more

Came here from another veterinary office out of concern for the course of treatment my dog was receiving for a chronic skin issue. I was recommended by a friend from work and cancelled the appointment with my previous vet to try North Heights. I was not disappointed! The entire staff is friendly and caring. The vet we saw was concerned, knowledgeable and compassionate. They are also concerned for and do well working within budgetary restrictions. They are far less expensive than the 2 other places I've been to in the 18 years I've been in the area. Yesterday I had to make an appointment for an acute issue my dog was having and I had to see a different vet...she, too, was fantastic. I heard my regular vet pop in quickly to consult with the vet I was seeing on the course of treatment. AND...first thing this morning my phone rings and it's the vet. She's checking in to see how my dog did through the night. Whenever I come in for an acute issue, I always get a call the next morning from the vet checking on the well-being of my dogs. All in all, very pleased!! read more

We had been taking our dog, Montana there since 2007. Every appointment we've had the staff was very friendly and explained exactly what they were doing. They are also very reasonably priced. Recently we took Montana in and she crossed the "Rainbow Bridge". I cannot thank the staff there for the compassion they showed us during one of the saddest times of my life. Compassionate staff and vets. (There's one vet whose bedside manner with humans has a bit to be desired but I can't complain about her care of my pets).They have not only taken great care of my pets, they showed much compassion and empathy when 'the time' came to let go of two of my dogs....10 months apart.
