I'm actually shocked at the bad reviews. To help paint the picture, my husband and I are young newish-weds and have taken our 6 rescue pets (5 cats, one dog) here for years! The Wellness Vet has always provided us with a means for affordable and professional care for all of our animals- from the spaying procedure for 3/5 of our cats, to performing a bladder stone removal for one of our cats, to properly diagnosing and treating our other male cat for urine crystals, to having us not worry about our doggo's lumps confirming they're cysts, to currently helping our other cat through a respiratory issue. We have always been satisfied with the care we have received! Also, it's a plus that I'm able to text them with questions whenever issues have come up with our fur babies! Very grateful for the care we've received from all of the staff members, and the veterinarians are great. Highly recommended! read more

If I could give this vet a 10, I would. Dr. Amir has been my vet for over 12+ years. He is highly trained and knowledgeable. His manner is kind and professional. He has been the vet for 4 different animals of mine: 2 Scotties, 1 Pit/Boxer mix and a rabbit. Neutering of my pit boxer went smoothly. Euthanasia for one of my Scotties was handled very professionally and respectfully. The clinic is clean. They are very honest and upfront with pricing. The fees are reasonable. read more

DONT GO HERE. Had a friend bring a dog in for a nail trim, came back because the dog was acting weird and seemed to be in pain, turns out dog had a crushed ribcage and Wellness did nothing but cover their tracks. Dr.Amir is a very intelligent veterinarian but he needs to improve his bedside manner and the staff he surrounds himself with. They are in it for the cash grab at this point. And after reading some of these other reviews, I can see this place is getting run into the ground by the staff being severely uneducated but treating clients like they know what they're talking about. They don't. They know how to repeat stuff they've heard and have nothing else to back it up. read more

Run away from this place! That is what I should have done when I arrived with my two dwarf rabbits and the vet tech told me she was expecting two husky puppies because of how it was coded in their computer system. The vet tech was super friendly but she had to leave the room abruptly as she was very allergic to rabbits and started having trouble breathing. Dr Amir was nice but he did not seem to have experience with rabbits. When he started the exam, my pet jumped off the table onto the hard floor. Dr. Amir was completely surprised by this even though I had been telling the staff my concerns with how difficult it was to handle my rabbits. Finally after my pet fell to the floor a second time, he got a tech to help him finish the exam. He said nothing about my pet's bloody lip from the fall. I was in shock that I brought my pet in for a wellness visit and because the staff did not take the necessary precautions, they left in worse shape than they arrived. There also were a lot of hidden costs. I was told the price of a vaccine but then it ended up being double because they need two doses. Nail trims were an extra charge which was not mentioned when I scheduled and asked about pricing. I was charged twice as much for the spay than what I was quoted three different times. When I questioned the doubled price, I was told I could pay it or surrender my pets. I have no problem paying for services, but it seems sketchy that they are not upfront about the actual cost. Both times I went to this place the bill was double what I was quoted when I scheduled. On top of it all, the receptionists were extremely unprofessional, and spoke in a condescending manner. I should have listened to my gut after the first appointment but I tend to think the best in people and give a second chance. But after a disastrous second visit, I will never be returning. I hope this place can learn to be more honest about their charges and learn how to speak to their customers in a kind and respectful manner. read more

These guys rock. Been taking our four pets here for years. We have moved a lot and I've always really disliked other vets. The hardly touch your pets, in and out as fast as possible, and gotta take out a second mortgage to pay. Even stitched up my German shepherd after a muskrat took a chunk out of her face, did a great job and super reasonable pricing. They also seem to retain their staff for long periods of time, which I think is a very good sign. Highly recommend. read more

I must say, I was more than a little nervous taking my little furry friend to his first vet appointment for a wellness exam and his shots. He was a rescue kitty and he did not take well to relocating to my place initially AT ALL. He hid under the bed for a week. So when the time came to get his pet tag for the new year, I was dreading the situation immensely. The car ride over in his pet carrier was pretty awful of course, but after I took him in the examining room and let him out of the carrier, Dr. Amir put him at ease in short order. He is a really nice gentleman with an obvious affinity for animals and it shows in how he interacts with them. He explained everything I needed to know about caring for my little furry friend in a fair amount of detail. Considering I had never owned a cat in my life prior to my recent acquisition, I found this advice extremely helpful. It is my hope that I won't have to take a trip to Wellness Veterinary anytime soon other than for routine check-ups, but I am confident that Dr. Amir will take good care of my kitty should the need arise. read more

Wanted to have my dog spayed by laparoscope but couldn't afford my local university clinic fee of over $2000. I have a relative near the WVC in Neenah, where I could stay overnight, so took her for their required $50 "wellness" exam, though I had records from my local vet confirming that she has had all shots/exams. The vet felt her body, assessed that she looked healthy, and I scheduled the surgery and was charged another $50, I guess downpayment. He stated that if she was in heat at the time of scheduled surgery, I should reschedule. Called today, because she's in heat, and the receptionist said she'd ask the doctor if he would "feel comfortable" doing the surgery while the dog's in heat. Clearly she's ignorant of the dangers of this and I indicated that I would not allow it, whether he was ok with it or not. She then tells me she wants another $50 to reschedule. There's something really wrong with any vet who would do any surgical procedure on a dog in heat or who instructs his staff to charge twice to make an appointment. I would not have scheduled and paid the $50 if I was aware that I couldn't reschedule if there was a medical reason to do so. Really suspicious about this whole thing. read more

my cat had facial injuries and was bleeding from her nose so i called an made an appt same day. We were fit in within 40 minutes (at 310) at almost 330 i am still waiting in my car. i sent a message asking how long and mentioned her bleeding got worse and i was concerned about her breathing and was basically told too bad theres another appt in front of me so she has to wait. No concern hustle about her condition at all. i understand its not an emergency clinic but this is unnacceptable. will never return. read more

I was one of Doc's first customers. When I got dogs, we continued to go to him due to his fantastic bed side manners with our cats. My dogs now get excited when I say, "lets go see the Doc". They will actually run to the door of his clinic. How many dogs do that when they go to the vet? read more

If I could give no stars I would. First we brought our dog in to neutered and found out at pick up that they found a staph infection where they did the neuter. Then we brought our cat of 18 years here to be euthanized after reading all the reviews on how "wonderful" this joke of a vet was. I'm not going to get into detail but let's just say his form of euthanasia is far from humane. Prices are cheap for a reason and you pay for what you get. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. I will do everything I can to stop my family and friends to NOT go there. read more

I wish I could give zero stars. I took my kitty there because I thought she had ear mites, he took one little look and said yep and to use these ear drops, two days later, her ear are bright red and burning hot to the touch. So I took her to the wet in Omro and they said she has a bacterial infection and an ulcer. No sign of any ear mites! I called him and he just said "well, I saw ear mites" really? The other vet couldn't find any sign of them, but that is what you saw just two days earlier? I don't think so. And my cat was only five months old at the time. She is now a year old, but won't let anyone touch her ears because of that whole situation. He didn't try to remedy the situation or anything, will not take any of fur-babies there anymore. Not worth it to save a few bucks. He is cheaper, but if you care about your animal, take him/her somewhere else where they actually check the animal for more than a few seconds. read more

Dr Amir truly does put you at ease and you can tell his true love and true dedication of animals and their health and welfare. Dr Amir's is very affordable he doesn't try to gouge you for services and fees. The vaccinations are very affordable the best prices in town. I just adopted a shih tzu 6yrs old and he had a infection so I had him neutered. Five days latter he was so very healthy and super active much more then my cavalier Saint Charles who is 2yrs old. I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't seen it with my own eyes. Dr Amir is a very kind, humble, gentle, considerate man.
