I have worked with Joe Gordon a couple of projects. I selected him as he is an award-winning cabinet builder. He is professional and very detailed oriented.
As Joe is in high demand, he does require a 50% deposit up front.
Unfortunately, supply chain issues have affected everyone, especially those involved in the construction industry. The lead time for getting goods is stretched even farther and farther out, especially with the crisis affecting our ports. In fact, the antique furniture refinisher that I work with is now quoting times for May-June. It is early October. He also requires 50% up-front to get on his wait list. This is the construction industry in a post-Pandemic world.
As it happens, other trades and contractors do scratch cabinets. In the past, Joe has stated he will fix them, at an additional charge. This is always conveyed to customers. When doing repair work, he does prefer to be one of the last trades much like painters in a house. This helps prevent accidental damage by other contractors and handymen.
Joe is extremely patient when working with first-time renovation customers. Often, they do not understand the process and it can be painful for them to observe. However, I know that Joe is one of the best around and his finished product is undeniable as evident by the abundance of photos on Google and his award.
On a personal note, Joe and his lovely family are dealing with a child with cancer. He is pushing projects back as his child needs to be his priority and rightfully so. I have no doubt that Joe has communicated this to his clients and is very grateful for their understanding during this difficult and uncertain time. read more
