So.... what can i say about a doctor that i was referred to by my new family practice doctor because we're new to the area and i need to ..? My first thought was why do they have these huge pink cut out arrows taped to the glass double doors that point around the building (which gives the impression to walk around tge building) and once we walked all the way around the building it was for the mammogram office. So we had to walk all the way back around the building. The next word that comes to mind is piss.. yup it reaked of straight up piss in this office. The next word that comes to mind is.. low income, teen pregnacies ( not to say that these things are bad i just didn't expect it) there were about 5 teens in their with their parent. One was a little older she was a young adult was about 19-22 she had 4 kids and was pregnant she was there with her mom. The mother of the young adult was talking to another teen and her boyfriend about ways to get free services like food stamps & government assistance then the plot thickened when she said "My daughter is living back with me... again and pregnant, again.." smh.. Some of the staff had ghetto nice nasty attitude like they're not happy with their jobs. With the acception of one receptionist that was fantastic and had a great personality and was helpful. Another thing that i didn't like.. was the signs.. That seemed to suggest that maybe their patients are not that bright, clueless or need signs to tell them what to do. But for me to read them it seemed very rude with most in all caps seemed to be yelling at me. They had signs everywhere that read things like.. PUT TRASH IN HERE PUT MAGAZINE'S BACK FLUSH THE TOILET PLEASE CLOSE THE DOOR NO FOOD NO DRINK NO CELL PHONE & etc For doing ordinary things on bright colored construction paper written by hand in bold sharpie or typed up in bold letters. Some where there so long that they where fading and edges where curling up. What the Hell!! Was my next thought. This area is great so i didn't even google the business or read the reviews first like i always do. Smh Maybe the doctor is great i thought.. like my primary doctor suggested. But... idk.. I'm sitting ready to be called back. Its 2:49pm and my appointment was at 2:30pm So... I finally get called back.. Idk... i had to finish the nurses sentences like she couldn't get the right words to come out maybe i made her nervous i thought. Until i get in the room with the head nurse is training her on what to put in the computer.. After all the info was added i was asked to sit in the waiting area.. the chairs were... for the lack of better words unsatifactorty so i stood. For about 5 min then they brought me into an exam room. On the way to the exam room one of the nurses walked out of the office and said " Idk which one your talking about!" With a snappy attitude ) she asked "are you talking bout The black man!" and the other person (who i couldn't see) said yes. Anyway i did get to see the doctor. My overall experience was.... I was a patient of this office for 20+ years until my experience this past year. It has been one thing after another with this office while going thru a serious health issue. It's unfortunate such a large medical group has declined so much in their service to the community. It took 3 tries for the correct diagnostic mammogram order to be sent over which delayed diagnosis. The Drs aide only worked 2 days a week so trying to get in touch and help getting the appointment setup was way too difficult. When I found out it was cancerous, there was another delay in getting in contact with a surgeon as some surgeon's need Drs referral. I was incorrectly charged during my office visit and called Medical Billing directly to correct the bill, but no one returns the call. When I tried to make a follow up appt I was told I had an outstanding bill so I could not make appt until this erroneous charge was resolved. So basically I have to pay for something I didn't receive to get an appt, bc the Medical Billing doesn't call me back to correct an error on their part. I called to get a copy of my medical records and again no one returned my call. I finally had to go in person to the office and wait while the less than service oriented front office staff went thru the process of telling it'll take weeks. I told the staff I would not leave until I had the records, which I'm pretty sure is the only way I would have gotten them. I have tired calling and will be on hold for 10 minutes when the phone disconnects. The automated recording tells you to leave a message but when you do, no one calls you back. I tried to communicate thru the patient portal, but eventually my account was either disabled or somehow I was no longer able to send a message via the portal. First time patient, had to go for yearly since I left my fabulous doc in St. Louis. Check in was easy, only waited about 15 minutes before they called me back. I had already filled out the paperwork since they sent it to me a week ahead of time in the snail mail. A nurse escorted me to the bathroom to give a urine sample. I came out and she had disappeared. Another nurse sent me to a new waiting area. A third nurse found me 10 minutes later in the waiting area and tried to get me to give another urine sample and asked where my paperwork was? I'm supposed to carry my folder around? She asked me which bathroom I used for the specimen. I don't know, how many are back here? 5 minutes later the 3rd nurse finds me again with my urine and folder and proceeds to give me my vitals. She is really nice. At this point I am unimpressed but then I met Dr. McCauley. He is by far the kindest male doctor I have ever met and I have never had a male ob/gyn previously. He met me in his personal office first and got to know me before he sent me to an exam room. He was quick, professional, and kind. Even though the process to be seen by him was a little disheartening, I will be back to see him. All in all, a great doctor!! read more

I want to start by saying that I think Dr. E. is awesome! Unfortunately, I feel that I have to leave a low rating due to the expense of their services. I had an abnormal PAP and had to go back in for a biopsy. I was undressed and on the table when the doctor swapped my vaginal area with vinegar. He said that the cells looked normal and no biopsy was needed. The entire process took less than 3 minutes. When I received my portion of the bill, it was for $310. I was told that the swabbing with vinegar was considered a surgical procedure. So for less than 3 minutes of service I had to pay more than I make in a days time. I am floored! The worst customer service. I wouldn't even give it one star. I needed my providers signature on a simple form to return to work. I was already at a follow -up apt when I asked. The girl at the front desk got an attitude and directed me to drive to the Fleming island office and to pay $25.( 30 minutes from my house) I dropped the form off and paid the money. She told me they need up to 5 days to complete it and it would be ready. Nope. 10 days later, no form. I physically walk in there and they didn't know what I was talking about. They couldn't even locate Nancy,( the lady that completes the paperwork) to ask her. one visit, two trips, and $25 later I still don't have my doctors note. What ever happened to taking care of your patients? Now I have to go there again to pick it up because I'm the 21st century that cannot e-mail it to you. if you go here, just expect to have problems. read more

Your practice killed my baby. You were told to schedule one dang ultrasound TWICE WITH LOTS OF REMINDERS . And since you guys "forgot" I never got one and the next week chalked it up to Im just gonna have small baby. That was a Wednesday my baby shower was Saturday I was 38weeks My appointment to schedule induction came around and I was told no fluid.. and not heart beat! Maybe WE COULDVE SEEN SOMETHING IN THE ULTRASOUND... maybe that's why he seemed small and the dr ordered the growth ultrasound twice and the staff neglected to schedule either appt. And if we didn't see anything on the ultrasound ok BUT WE DIDNT GET THE OPPURTUNITY TO POSSIBLY SAVE OUR SONS LIFE BECAUSE OF YOUR PRACTICES NEGLECT! Murderers I hope no mother ever has to go through what I did due to your practices negligence!!!!!!!!! I suffered a horrible birth. Horrible Practice! I saw Jade Pizzarro for post menopausal bleeding and she treated what could be very serious like it was nothing. She did not follow medical protocol in a timely fashion, she reported results as benign that were actually " insufficient for complete diagnoses. I had to pay twice to have the same procedure done because she did it incorrectly. I also had to pay for a second sonogram at a regulated facility where I knew it would be read by a licensed radiologist not a six month studied, 20 year old sono tech that doesnt know what the hell she is looking at, its all about how cheap something is with them, even if it puts patients health at risk. She told me next step is a hysterectomy which when I went finally to a good dr, was told that was ridiculous at the time. This practice has sonogram technicians read the ultrasounds, which I would think is against medical protocol, only having them sent out to be read weeks later by some who knows where for hire radiologists who probably half reads them at three in the morning. Pizarro doesnt send them out at all!!!!!!! Jade Pizarros bedside manner is extremely lackadaisical , her nurse acts like you are bothering her when you call because they rarely call you back in a timely fashion. If you value your health at all, or the health of your unborn baby, DO NOT USE THIS PRACTICE!!!!!! Also, they gave me a pregnancy test when Im in menopause and told them I am not sexually active!!!!!! Absolutely terrible place, I wouldnt take my dog there. We were new in area and didnt know where to go, we could not have picked a worse place, as stated, I believe some of their practices are against studied legally recommended medical protocol, stay away! read more

Terrible communication skills handling patients private information and consideration for patients time to come in just to be sent away when it was the practice's fault for not calling me to let me know my Doctor had called out. I have been a patient with there A.R.N.P. for a few years. Everything was good as far as our relationship. However the office and checkin/front desk and administrator are horrible. I had cervical cancer before and i needed a polyp removed asap according to my A.R.N.P. so I made the appointment took a day off of work only to show up and be told that my A.R.N.P. was out. No phone call or anything. Then they said I was being rude bc I was acting upset with the staff and that my condition was not serious. So I got upset about that, then they told me I would be discharged from the office location. STAY FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!!!!! read more

PRO: The staff was very nice to my face during my visit. They, Dr. Greene and Abby at the front desk, made me feel like they were really looking out for me. I was wrong. However, now that I am crying on the phone with the billing staff I am getting some help. The woman looking through my claim is great and she is really helping me understand what the different charges are. I just wish she was there to explain this prior to my procedure. CON: I went in for my annual checkup and to discuss contraception. Dr. Greene and I decided an IUD was the perfect fit, if my insurance covered it. I then spoke with Abby and I was told the IUD was 100% covered. I would just pay my copay of $45. What was not explained to me was that this procedure qualified for a deductible cost through my insurance. I am now stuck with a $1000 bill instead of $45. This should have been explained to me prior to the IUD insertion. I would have chosen a different method and waited until I had the money to do the IUD. I feel taken advantage of by their office. I am a young girl who is just learning how insurance works. I felt this staff saw this as an opportunity. I am very disappointed. FIX IT: They should better explain what insurance does and doesn't cover. Explain the possibility of out-of-pocket cost of deductible cost. If the staff is unsure, at least tell patients to call and check with their insurance themselves. I trusted this office to be honest and forthcoming. Maybe they really did just assume I understood everything... however, I would hope my doctor wouldn't be assuming anything. read more

It takes a lot for me to take the time to write a bad review, but let me tell you, I didn't hesitate for this one. This place is an appointment factory. They usher you in and out and around like cattle, and the doctor I saw VERY obviously was in a rush to get on to her next patient. I was trying to explain some health issues I've been having and explained the steps I've taken thus far to try to fix it, and I was told "well if you've tried xyz then I don't know what else to suggest. Sorry"... So I guess I'll just go on pretending I'm fine then? Ok cool. This was on top of the fact that the person who checked me in grilled me for ALL of my personal information, including my religion(???) and past sexual history with the office door WIDE open for the dozens of other patients in the next room to hear. They don't care about you AT ALL... They're there to collect your money and keep you moving. read more

Completely unsatisfied with the way they handled us during a stressful time when new and my wife came if for a pregnancy test. They made us sign a contract for prenatal and delivery care before we even had a pregnancy test! Then sent us a bill for over 500 after they said there would be no charge until wet decide to use them for delivery. Stay far away read more

NFOBGYN is absolutely wonderful! The staff is always pleasant and very informative. The doctors are some of the nicest people and turkey care about their patients. They take the stress and frustration from the patient and make them feel like family by the time you leave! read more

If you are fortunate to have options with your insurance provider, go anywhere but here. I rarely leave negative reviews on businesses or providers, because I realize everyone has different sets of expectations and experiences. Everyone is entitled to an "off" day without it jeopardizing their true nature. However, in my experience every contact with this office has been negative so it is indicative of a pattern of how they care for patients and conduct business. In all fairness I did read a multitude of negative reviews online so I feel justified in my personal experience. From the first phone call to a lack of follow up from the office manager, I cannot say anything good about this facility. I was hoping the office manager would have followed up as she said she would, after speaking with the midwife and find out how i wanted to proceed (collect my record, or be offered a second visit where i actually have time to ask a question, be assigned a different provider, etc....) but after several weeks and no call, it solidified my opinion. Even the recording when the call is answered is abrupt and makes you agree to some payment terms before you are "allowed" to continue to a receptionist. I understand payment terms are unpleasant at times, but come on. Time and a place for that or just perhaps use a different recorded voice with a little less emphasis on the money collection. Staff has no bedside manner in any way. To be honest, they all seemed to be miserable and wishing to be anywhere than working there. If that isn't true, perhaps an inservice is warranted on appropriate patient contact? Provider left the room during the exam to take a phone call in her office and LEFT THE exam room door OPEN. Inexcusable. When she came back to hand me the check out paperwork I tried asking a question but its difficult to do so when the provider is standing half in and half out of the OPEN doorway, with patients and staff up and down the hallway. Horrible experience and I did not feel that the provider cared about me as a patient at all, and it was clear she was scheduled for office apps while on call and I was an inconvenience. The disdain was palpable. No patient should EVER be made to feel that way. read more
