It is decorated with many very nice murals by very talented artist. You will also find a few sculptures around too. It spans about 10 acres and is considered one of the top selfie locations in TallahasseeIt is a creative and colorful space. There are shop, a VR reality spot, a bar, a food court, artist galley/shops, a coffee shop, a smoothie shop, screen printing stores, gift stores and boutiques, thrift stores, music and recording studios, pet stores, performing arts groups, a virtual reality arcade, and a gym. There is also an awesome Skate Art Park here if you would like to shred a few. Some notable shops include Blake's Body Bars, Cap City Video Lounge, Campus Greek, Cat Family Records, What You Got? Thrift Store, The Other Side Vintage, Sweet Boozy Cakes Bakery, Ryder's Water Ice, Morgan's Dog Training, Prime Tatoo Company, The Greenery Floral&Tuxedo Place, The Bee's Knees, Steelyard Gym, and Taste of Miami. There is over 200 free parking spaces in the park and there is free street parking within a reasonable walking distance. There is a patch of open green space outside of the virtual reality arcade. I saw some people playing catch there and also playing with a volleyball. On the first Friday of every month, the park hosts the very popular "First Friday Gallery Hop," an event that provides a lively, enjoyable experience with open galleries/shops, live music, and food. I really enjoyed this place. This is a must visit while you are in Tallahassee. You can easily spend a half day or more here. It is easily accesible and I highly recommend checking this place out if you have the chance.

Big props to the city/county for closing down all related streets during the festival. It was great to have the freedom to walk up and down Park Ave. and other nearby streets. This is just another perfect example of what makes Tallahassee unique. And if you don't think so, then wake up!

Although it always ends up being way too hot, especially if you stay too long into the afternoon, and there is always a ton of people wandering about, the art cannot be diminished in any way! The selection and quality of the art for purchase were absolutely astounding, especially for what is only a small town festival at first glance. But it is even more enjoyable to chat with the artists themselves, who travel from all over the east coast, and hear the story behind each piece and what the work means to them. The festival is such a treat for every level of art appreciation and you should put it on your calendar to attend every spring!

There's a large parade that touts local business and communities to those viewing the parade. I've walked in the parade back when I lived in Tallahassee, as well as stood in the front trying to grab free beads and candy (is all I can remember as a kid). Oh, childhood. I recently ran the Springtime Tallahassee 10K. I regret so hard because that s*** is HARD! I had trained on a medium level 10K pace and interval, with some long but mild hills, and I had trouble finishing this one. I wish I ran the 5K... or the mile fun run lol. The advantages to finishing this race are: 1. Free beer, Publix donuts, fruit, bagels, water, free beer... (yes, note the repetitive nature of free beer) 2. Medal for everyone, because we're all winners 3. Free beer 4. Parking in the early morning is MUCH easier than after the race. If you're planning on staying downtown the rest of the morning/afternoon for the festivities, I advise getting out here early and running with the rest of us to ensure you get a perfect parking spot. Springtime Tallahassee is a classic festival for the natives and the visitors. Wake up early and check out what local Tallahassee fun is like!

Lots of people means it is very popular. We actually parked outside of the venue in a private lot for $5 which was an excellent value. The lines of cars and associated traffic jams were almost at a complete standstill and we only walked 1 block to get in! The line for entry tickets was super long and moving slowly as well. Another person in line mentioned that the North Florida Fair has a website with online ticket sales! So we logged in on our smartphones, filled out the necessary credit card information and were able to purchase $8 general admission entry tickets in a snap! (a small $1 service charge was applied per ticket) A barcode was emailed to us which was scanned at the gate on our iPhones and we were in! We cut our entry wait time to zero! Sweet! Once inside we were immediately immersed into the lights, sounds and smells that define a fair. It was euphoric. We visited the pavilions first to see the many various categories of Fair contests all competing for that coveted 1st place blue ribbon! Livestock, arts, plants, prepared foods, quilts, etc., all in a friendly competition judged by I'm sure impeccable non-biased judges with excellent palates and senses, and having the knowledge of what it takes to choose a winner. It is so inspiring to see the local and surrounding communities coming together to be a part of such a wonderful fair tradition! As we meandered down the midway it seemed everyone had smiles on their faces, the twinkle of glittering lights in their eyes, handfuls of foods and puppy love teens clasping hands. I wasn't surprised to see long lines for the more popular rides which seemed to move at a snails pace. There was an option to pay $35 which included main gate entry and unlimited rides. The fair was supposed to be open until the wee hours of Sunday morning and as the night wore on the crowds thinned out and the ride lines shortened. I'm pretty sure that those with the unlimited ride passes were able to get their monies worth as early birds departed. I am a big fan of distractions. Life's distractions. The fair provides a way to let go of your daily grind temporarily to enjoy some fun family time or just do a little thrill seeking. The North Florida Fair delivers.

They have a wing, just talking about all these scientific discoveries they've made at the university. I believe they share this with FAMU, but don't quote me on that just yet. I'm not 100% sure. Anyway, aside from parking, which was garage parking and had to be paid for, it was a pretty standard movie theater. You know, get tickets, purchase popcorn, the usual stuff. I will say though that they don't play every single movie currently out, but I think it's because this location is small. Nevertheless, it has its charm -- the screen is great and the employees are nice.

Venue was clean, seats were comfortable and the movie looked amazing. My only complaint would be that I wish there would have been a heads up about the Christmas parade happening when we came into town on the Challenger website. Waze/Google Maps both showed the same path to get there but most of the nearby streets were blocked off with no alternative routes so getting to the parking garage was a nightmare. Luckily we were way early and still made it with 30 minutes to spare. Other than that one issue, a great visit. We will be coming in more often now that we are aware they are there.
