It's hard to find an honest mechanic nowadays. After my wife brought her car into Mark earlier this…read moreyear with great success, I decided to bring my 2018 Silverado in. It was slowly leaking coolant, but the main issue I was trying to figure out was this faint chirping on the driver's side that would occasionally come on during acceleration. I knew if I brought it to the dealer, they'd probably charge an arm and a leg to find the issue. Thankfully, I was out of my warranty, so I didn't feel forced to go back. A year an 1/2 ago, out of nowhere, I had a major engine repair at only 50,000 miles. Thankfully, it was under extended warranty, and it was eventually all covered. Back to the sound... similar people have found the problem to be the serpentine belt, something serious like head gasket leaks or lifters. He found the leak, which was a cracked radiator, but was still having an issue finding the sound. After having it for a day and a half, Mark found out that when the dealership replaced my driver's side manifold, that ALL the bolts were loose. They didn't tighten them properly after replacing my whole exhaust system. It caused it to make a faint chirping/whistling. A dealer would've charged me a lot for labor to just find the sound. Now my car is driving better than it did BEFORE my engine repairs 18 months ago. Mark will talk to you like a human and not leave you in the dark about the repairs. He is also very fair in his prices. I won't hesitate to contact Mark next time I need a service! Good mechanics are a dying breed. I'd recommend Mark's Auto to anyone.
