As we were driving to go pick it up, my husband said to me, Crissy I'm gonna need your help putting this rack back on the truck... "We" just need to bolt it back together. I didn't say it, but I was not stoked, I'm thinking, day ruined- We get there and 3 to 4 guys are helping with the forklift to carefully lift it onto his truck. They set it on there perfectly and then they proceeded to help him bolt it. Something he couldn't do by himself and there was zero possibility that I'd be able to push those things into place. These guys were like little angels with muscle and they were happy to help. They were awesome and it wasn't like a burden, they just helped. I wanted to refresh my patio sofa and chairs but wasn't sure what I wanted. I visited North County Powder Coating and was enthusiastically greeted by Kimberly. She was giving me so many options for colors and grades I wasn't sure what to do. I was given a sample ring of colors to take home and look at in different light. I must have called Kimberly 6 times with questions. She patiently answered me and made sone excellent suggestions to help me narrow it down. After I chose my new colors for my furniture Kimberly sent a nice young man to pick it up. After my furniture was done I was so excited we decided to picking it up ourselves. On our second visit we were greeted Johnathan and Ricardo in the office. They were very friendly and professional. They showed us around while the facility while some workers loaded our patio set up for us. While we were touring the facility we met many staff members who'd been there perfecting their craft for decades! We saw then loading sone other finished furniture that was a beautiful shade of blue. After we got home and set our furniture up we could tell that they had done an excellent job. This company takes pride in their work. I had a couple of projects being worked on at my house that involved welding and powder coating. Some time ago I had acquired some very expensive patio loungers for literally nothing. I had cleaned the cushions with some upholstery cleaner and was going to strip and repaint the frames. So I actually sent photos of my 67 chevelle frame to about 10 different places. These people got back to me with a quote literally same day. Only 2 other companies replied to my quote; they were days later and significantly more expensive. They offered a pickup and delivery service and that was a major help. Everyone I had communication with at this place from quoting to the pickup driver was extremely courteous and professional. I did have a delay but that was only because I went with a color outside of their stock colors but, I was in no rush. The frame and the parts I sent along with it came back absolutely perfect and better than I anticipated. Took my old stair rails in to be powder coated. They removed the years of different, gunked up paint and refinished them in a beautiful matte black color. I was able to choose the type of color and finish for my project (glossy, matte, etc). It was so easy to work with them and they finished the work quickly without any delays or excuses. I want to start this review with these guys do great work. I have have used them twice and both projects have turned out great. The entire team is helpful and knowledgeable. I would make sure that you iron out any issue with price before the product is taken back. I took a project to them in late 2021 and was charged X dollars (very reasonable). There was some confusion with the team about the price when I dropped the second item item off but as I was leaving the price was 2x which was still reasonable (custom order color). I should have gotten it in writing (my fault). When I went to pick up the item I was charged close to 4x what I paid the first time. Once again these guys do great work but was disappointed by the price we had discussed earlier on. I will take my products here for any other projects but I will make sure price is confirmed and in writing before I leave. read more

We install solar panels and our parts manufacturer wouldn't offer a black coated solution for one of our metal roof projects, so we visited NCPC to see if they could help. Ricardo and Kierstein had our project booked right away and within a few weeks we had our beautiful, powder coated, black mounts back for our customer's project. It was a seamless process and very easy working with NCPC. Our customer was so happy when he saw the powder coated mounts that we have decided to use NCPC every time we have a similar type of project to keep up the beautiful aesthetics of the installed system. I wanted to get my stock bead lock rings for my Raptor powder coated burnt bronze, but they only offered sun dust gold. I didn't know what to expect, but they are large operation and knew they do good work based on the reviews. 2 weeks after dropping off the bead lock rings, they called and said they were ready for pickup. The powder coat of the bead lock rings looked fantastic. I hope they hold up over time and even ceramic coated them before they were mounted. I first heard of this place from just searching here on yelp. Then I heard that someone I met goes here all the time so I decided to stop by and try it out. THIS PLACE IS GREAT!!! The staff up front have great customer service and are very helpful even if you change your mind a couple of times or unsure of what you are looking to get. They were very helpful with helping pick out colors and the process that is being done with powder coating. They even helped me tape up parts before getting powder coated and confirmed with me again before I left the colors I was going with. They also brought in the powder coating guy from the back to help out as well. I didn't rush them with my order because I know that I can't rush quality. When I went to go pick up my bike frame and parts, one part wasn't ready yet because they weren't happy with the outcome of the product. That just goes to show you that they only put out quality work and they actually care about how there products turn out. The person up front asked me if I wanted the part shipped to my house with no charge which was great and it helped me out a lot. Overall satisfied - be specific on masking, fair prices I had the following car parts powder coated for a restoration project: bumper brackets($5-10ea), custom sub frame connectors($40 each *high*), rear end center section housing, drum brake backing plates, sway bar. They charge extra per number of colors and per amount of masking. I suggest marking your parts before dropping them off. Make it easy for the girl working the front desk; she had to call the shop foreman both times I came so that I could explain the masking. The parts turned out well and were wrapped with foam prior to my pick up. The only complaint could be that the masking on the sub frame connectors does not blend well. Overall satisfied and I'll visit again -next time for just sand blasting of body panels (est $25-50 each). I'll update this review with each visit. read more

My original review is below. After seeing my Yelp review and receiving my feedback over phone, North County Powder Coating got in touch with me and offered to make it right. They picked up the piece from my home, reworked it, and dropped it off at my home all on the same day. They even refunded my expedite fee. The second time around, the project came out looking great. I'm very pleased with the fact that they did what had to be done to resolve the situation. I will use them again for sure. Kirsten was great to work with during the entire process. Not very happy with the outcome of my project. My project involved having to mask off a section from getting coated. The end product had horrible masking lines and overspray on the sections that were supposed uncoated. I'm regretting paying the expediting fee because it probably made the quality suffer. A while back I had a big project I was working on and wanted to get some big pieces powder coated but since it was my first big project like that, I unfortunately didn't calculate powder coating into the project, so I decided to paint my parts. I still wanted everything cleaned though, so I had North County Powder Coating do a "sandblast only" on my metal parts so I could paint on a nice clean metal surface. They gave me a very fair price and the sandblasting turned out great. Fast forward a few months and I had another project, almost identical in nature and this time I worked powder coating into the budget. Again, a very fair price and I'm SO GLAD I did powder coating this time. I had several table bases I built and several custom fence posts for a restaurant client and even though I just went with a simple black color, it looked incredible! Much much better than painting. I'll try to remember to add photos later after I install the project. I just dropped off a bunch of chairs for a coat of orange powder and I'm excited to see how they look. I also like that I'm able to text message them with a photo of my project and get a pretty quick quote. And even though I haven't done many orders yet, I think it's cool that they still remember me which says a lot about their customer service. Update 6 months later (feb 2017) The seams of chair started rusting over the summer. I had expected that wear and tear would happen over time but not months after getting them repaired and especially in dry summer months. The heavy rain in the last month has now caused excessive rusting and leaving stains on my concrete. read more

Just had them re-finish some Old Trash Can lids that have not been touched for maybe 15 years. A lot of Rust and chipped paint. They sand blasted them and saved them from having to be replaced.. I brought in two valve covers to be powdercoated in silver after reading all the positive reviews. Everyone I worked with was helpful and nice, and the work was completed on time, but the work itself was not very good. I paid $280 for both valve covers and they are full of bubbles and other imperfections. I was told "that's just how the metal is," but the covers were not rough upon removal. If this has something to do with the coating process on magnesium, it would have been nice to know beforehand that they wouldn't come out perfectly smooth. I also wasn't presented with the finished parts until after I had already paid, which isn't something I feel you'd do when you are confident and proud of your work. Not sure why my stuff came out looking so bad, everyone else seemed to have good experiences here. read more

Very happy with my corvette wheels. Another shop said they wouldn't touch my wheels because they were chrome. They came back perfect, glossy black. Very impressed. And to add another two layers of praise, Ricardo was such a nice person to work with. Customer service is where company's are failing these days but Ricardo still gets it.
