(Mind you they already have my insurance on file) Then the lady at the front desk charged me 50$ for canceling an appointment I was on time for that she would not let me go to. As a small business owner in the north county, people like this at detrimental to our relationships with customers, they are rude, and have a sense of entitlement that they can't hide. Again, I don't think this represents the doctor themselves, but it's a very poor reflection on the state of our community, at least in a small percentage. We had the best experience ever at a pediatrician in Templeton and advise you to look for care options there, or in SLO.

We are a family that loves quality, and although we live 40 mins away, we don't mind making the drive because of the high quality service we receive in exchange. His staff is always friendly and polite. There are books, toys, and games for children to play in the waiting area. The entire facility is clean and looks new. Dr. Macias is patient and will actually listen to your concerns and not try to rush you no matter how busy he is with so many appointments. He goes above and beyond in answering questions and makes sure you really understand, even if it means drawing a diagram/picture. He is also fantastic at recommending other medical practitioners. I have tried cardiologists and pulmonologists he has recommended and they have been of great quality also. He has been incredibly helpful every step of the way. He caught one of her health issues early. We later learned that many pediatricians miss the early signs. Thanks to his knowledge, we are able to get our daughter a minimally invasive surgery instead of a more major one she would have needed if her symptoms were overlooked. Additionally, we wanted to go out of state for her surgery and Dr. Macias was amazing as he is still supporting us through the process of navigating insurance and getting to an out-of-state specialist that we chose.
