North Camp railway station serves South Farnborough, North Camp and Ash Vale and is located on the line from Reading to Guildford and Gatwick Airport.
The station opened in 1858 and was renamed several times before receiving its current name in 1924.
The main station building is on platform 2, an attractive single-storey late Victorian building in a domestic Italianate style. It contains the ticket office, which is open part-time. There's a ticket machine for when the ticket office is closed.
Platform one (to Guildford) has a basic glass shelter, ticket machine and cycle rack. There are small car parks on either side. There is level access to both platforms, as there is a road level-crossing at the north end. Bear in mind that the barriers come down four minutes before the trains arrive, and there is no way of crossing the line when that happens.
All services stop here. The basic service pattern is half-hourly in each direction: northbound, all trains go to Reading. Southbound, they head to Guildford, Redhill and Gatwick Airport. Stopping services continue to Redhill: semi-fast trains continue on to Gatwick Airport. All trains are operated by Great Western Railway. read more
