Cranberry Township Community Waterpark - Diving & climbing wall

Cranberry Township Community Waterpark

As a Yelp Elite All Star I noticed that the most current YELP review for this pool was a one star review based solely on what this person thought the price should be for entry for her & her kids & her comparison to North Park Pool. First off Cranberry Township Waterpark, offers more than just a pool. It has a very large kids area with large kiddie pool, water dump bucket, splash pad & preschool water sliding board. It has a dedicated lap swim lane at all times. It has a waterside, low diving board, water tunnel sliding board, water climbing wall, sand volleyball court, grassy play areas, concession stand with large variety of foods, drinks & desserts & bathrooms with showers & changing rooms. There are giant umbrellas for shade, and many lounge & some Adirondack chairs. You can get water wings, or life vests for your kids there if needed. This is not a county pool like North Park Pool. NPP is run by the county. Cranberry is run by the township (not Butler County) & managed & staffed by high school kids. YES, the prices ARE higher than Allegheny County & City pools: 2025 Daily Admission Rates Residents: $11 Non-Resident: $16 Children: 2 - 12 years old Resident:$10 Non-Resident: $14 Children under 2: FREE 55+ Senior Resident: $10 Non-Resident: $14 Twilight Rates (after 6 p.m.) Resident: $8 Non-Resident: $10 Tuesday Night Swims: 9-11 p.m. Members: FREE Non-Members: $8 But that gives ZERO reason to diss this beautiful waterpark & all it has to offer. I highly recommend our pool & have taken out of town guests here with young kids several times in the past 20 years & they all loved it.

You can't bring in cans or glass, but plastic 20oz bottles ARE allowed! The park is clean, they probably need more bathrooms as they were always full with a line... and more shade would be nice too. The only thing I hated was that every 45 minutes there's a mandatory evacuation of the water for everyone (unless you're a parent with a small child). There was confusion about if adults without kids could stay in... but either way, it was disappointing that the entire pool had to clear out for 15 minutes EVERY 45 minutes. I've never been to a water park where lifeguards didn't just swap in and out for breaks. If you have a Groupon it's worth going. Otherwise, I'll stick closer to home as this was a solid hour from my house. If I could give a tip to the owners... For your BIG slides, have the line start at the BOTTOM of the slides. Then at the mid point on the stairs, allow one rider for each slide to wait. At the top of the ladder, have two riders... one that's going to go down the slide and one at the top of the stairs. As each rider goes down the slide, move the kids up the ladder so that it's SAFER than a ginormous line of kids standing on stairs. All it takes is one child to misstep and fall and knock out everyone standing on the steps with them.

Graham Park is a wonderful park for everyone. Courts and fields for various sports (including a…read moreMiracle League field). Playgrounds for kids. Concession stands and bathrooms. Trails for walking/hiking/running. Plenty of parking. Park is well maintained. I like going here for a good walk or run. The park is big enough that if you go from one end to the other it's around 3 miles. The paths are paved and there are a few different paths you can take to loop around but don't miss the Brush Creek Trail. It's a short hike with info on the local ecosystem along the way. There are a few inclines but no crazy elevation. Would also be a good place for a bike ride though I haven't done that yet. Graham Park is one of my favorite go-to parks when I'm near Cranberry and looking for an easy change of scenery from my local park. It can be crowded when there are sporting events but everyone I've encountered has been friendly. I'd recommend taking advantage of this great community park.

There is a paved 3+ mile walking path (relatively flat) that spans the park. Lots of parking. Kids playground. Miracle League handicapped accessible ball field. A catch & release pond. Flower garden. Brush Creek runs through it. Three body weight exercise stations. Too bad the coffee shop at the entrance was ahead of its time & closed! Great park! Very clean.
