You can tell by the cleanliness, polished amenities, the details that make it the best that it can be. We love riding the rides, checking out the character shows (no matter how old we get), and grabbing some treats. We love the soakzone and especially the floating in tubes area. If kids are little the pirate ship is absolutely amazing. The loggin toboggin is a favorite ride. Be sure to check out the new events like the family night that kept the park open until 10 p.m. The lights are magical. Also Hallowboo is my ultimate favorite there and trick or treating in costumes through Storybook Forrest.

As a Yelp Elite All Star I noticed that the most current YELP review for this pool was a one star review based solely on what this person thought the price should be for entry for her & her kids & her comparison to North Park Pool. First off Cranberry Township Waterpark, offers more than just a pool. It has a very large kids area with large kiddie pool, water dump bucket, splash pad & preschool water sliding board. It has a dedicated lap swim lane at all times. It has a waterside, low diving board, water tunnel sliding board, water climbing wall, sand volleyball court, grassy play areas, concession stand with large variety of foods, drinks & desserts & bathrooms with showers & changing rooms. There are giant umbrellas for shade, and many lounge & some Adirondack chairs. You can get water wings, or life vests for your kids there if needed. This is not a county pool like North Park Pool. NPP is run by the county. Cranberry is run by the township (not Butler County) & managed & staffed by high school kids. And honestly, you can't talk about Settlers Cabin without mentioning the picnic groves. I swear, half of my summer weekends over the decades have been spent at a cookout, grad party, or other gatherings with friends at one of those pavilions, eating hot dogs and hamburgers. When my daughter was little I brought her there through her teenage years with her friends. Always a good spot to spend a hot summer day in Pittsburgh.

Other amenities are a nature center, golf courses, swimming pool, ice rink, dek hockey rink, ballfields, shelters, off-leash areas for dogs, basketball courts, archery range, tennis courts, fields for radio-control airplanes, Go Ape zip lines, etcetera! This park even has a restaurant and an ice-cream shop. For several years, I have visited this park. Most often I take my dog to the dog park. I have also hiked the trails and enjoyed the beautiful plants and wildlife. I consider this park to be a blessing to the residents of the Northern suburbs and to non-local visitors.

A great inexpensive community pool, with a shallow pool for kids…read more We wanted a couple of hours of cooling down after a day of hiking (Jun 2026). We tried out the pool at the George C. Edwards Community Aquatic and Recreation Complex at Garrett College. It's a full set of athletic facilities. We focussed on the kid's pool. It's at the end of the large lap pool. We spent most of our time in the 2ft-8in-deep shallower somewhat-separate section of the kids' pool, which the younger children (and their parents) were more comfortable in. The 3-year-olds entered via a long ramp, and made forays from the separate stairs to practice short swims to their parents. By the end of an hour, they were bravely taking swims in the middle of that shallow area. The 7-year-old swam happily end-to-end there, and then accompanied an adult into the larger deeper main 4ft-3in-deep section of the kids' pool. And at the end, we turned on the jacuzzi-like bubbling in the shallow section, much to everyone's delight! A grand finale! Most of us stayed with the kids, though one or two,swam some laps in the adjacent adult pool. The cost was quite reasonable! $15 for one adult, or $30 for four. Seniors and teens $10, younger $5, below 6-yrs-old for $2. On weekends, there's hours when it's only $6 per person! You pay at a small desk just inside the entrance, just past the Amazon delivery lockers and the shelf of shared books to read. We all burned off excess energy before dinner. And we saw a beaver in the grassy area on the right as we turned north on Garrett Highway afterwards! A perfect afternoon!
