This was her first medical encounter of any kind since moving here and fortunately this facility is just down the road from us, takes our insurances and is open 24/7. Before I get into the specifics a little background is needed. I was a Navy corpsman and worked in a Navy ER (emergency room) plus several dispensaries before working in a civilian trauma center for several years and also a paramedic driving ambulance on occasion. My sweetheart spent her college pre-med years in a Catholic nursing home then 4 years in Navy hospitals and 40* years in civilian hospitals (20+ at St Jude) and she is a ND (Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine) sooooo we know a little bit about urgent care and what to expect. With that said here's what happened ....... First impressions were good with plenty of parking, large clean waiting room with masks and hand sanitizers everywhere and there's wheelchairs available for the non-ambulatory, check. The receptionist ( not sure if she is the triage nurse ) is pleasant and immediately put a monitor on my honey's finger to get her O2 saturation, good. Hands me some forms and they continue to take her story and assess the situation, competent triage, check. You are informed that although this is called Urgent Care, they only bill your visit as an office visit. Why is that important to you as a patient? They don't get into the weeds on the insurance implications but i can tell you from my years of experience that depending on your insurance carrier there could be some unexpected charges singling out individual lab test, x-rays or the physician, etc. That can also easily happen in an ER today where you could be seen by several doctors (orthopedic, neurologists, radiologist, etc. and one or more might be out of network or all may be covered. it's kind of a crap shoot these days but for us we are well covered in this scenario but it's your choice, as always, whether you want to drive 20 minutes to an ER and take your chances or give this place a shot. Moving on, our wait was less than 10 minutes and we went in to a small but comfortable exam room where the check-in nurse took vitals and after a few minutes the nurse practitioner arrives and takes a detailed history and orders an x-ray. Without getting into personal stuff we only waited about another 20 minutes for the NP comes back and tells us that the lungs and x-ray looked okay but the radiologist was backed up and that they'd call us with the official reading. She called in an antibiotic that we could opt to pick up if things got worse and we were on our way. Overall it was a much more pleasant and timely experience that many ER's and we feel confident with the results. Bottom line: I am happy to report that everyone we encountered were professional and friendly and treated her with compassion and most importantly with respect. The result was exactly what we expected and we have confidence in our local urgent care facility. Recommended!

He was very personable, excellent bedside manner, and very thorough. He didn't make me feel rushed, he talked slowly and made sure I understood what he was explaining to me regarding the next steps we had to take in my treatment plan. I felt very comfortable with him. They have a lot of doctors who accept Tricare at this facility that's why I came here. My physician Dr. Perry is located on the 3rd floor here. You can get x-rays, mammograms, Orthopaedics, Oncology and Pediatrics all in one place. There is tons of parking but on any given day the lot can be full. All the staff seems friendly to me. I love it here and will continue to visit my physicians located here.

The GPS led us there first and they new exactly where to point us to get to the urgent care. (They call it priority care FYI) Overall a great visit and would recommend if you have something urgent you need looked at. Especially if your doctors appointment is going to be a few days away or longer. They will take care of you and be honest with you. Kudos again for helping us find the cheapest pharmacy to get the antibiotics we needed. 11/10 would get sick again.

The radiology department refused to do my mri of my wrist. They were absolutely rude about it. I was given the paperwork from rheumatology at 2:00. They wanted to call me and make an appointment at at later time bc they were "booked." There was only one person in the waiting room. I was there from 10:30-3:00 for appointments and asked to please get my MRI today so I didn't have to drive back. Rhematology told me to go down there (I was told they could do walk ins), but they refused me when they didn't have to.... There was no one in the office. They just didn't want to take a patient. They figure they make the same hourly wage regardless how they treat people and regardless if they help people. This MCC made prob 5k on my from my insurance today, but they couldn't help me. The lady up front was incredibly rude about it. An older lady, heavy set, with grey long hair and a stormy disposition. When I asked to speak to her manager, she said she was in charge herself. She would email Kaitlyn maze. What a way to treat your patients. Not a place I'll be getting any MRIs done at. My insurance money can go elsewhere. Called and let them know how their employees were treating their patients.
