The dental hygienist, Lisa, was the best! She has been in her specialty for 28 years and I could tell she knew exactly what she was doing. Normally I get nervous about even getting my teeth cleaned. One star because Yelp does not allow negative ones. Worst experience in my entire life. They left cement under my gum but said I might need a gum excision, the cement was causing the inflammation. Worked on me without numbing me while I was bleeding. Pretty much terrified me and had me in tears. The staff were condescending, the front desk even yelled at me over the phone because they made me an appointment without confirming it with me. I found a wonderful dentist 18 months ago and forever thankful. This review is long over due. I hope no one has to be treated the way I was. read more

I have suffered with a fear of going to the dentist since childhood, mainly due to anesthetics not working particularly well for me. For example, I once had six! shots of Novocaine for a filling many years ago and everything in my face was numb "except" the tooth! Recently, I broke a tooth and found myself in need of a dentist (I had not visited a dentist in a number of years). I looked at the reviews here on Yelp and saw many reviews mentioning that Dr. Dever emphasizes pain-free dentistry. After now having visited Dr. Dever and his amazing staff twice to get a crown, I have to say that this was the most pleasant (as pleasant as it can get) experience of going to the dentist in my life! They got me in right away, and the pain and discomfort was minimal throughout the process. Dr. Dever and everyone in his office are top notch and practice excellent care. I can't recommend Dr. Dever enough, especially if you have had bad experiences elsewhere as I have had. read more

Overall, very good. Dr Dever is a conservative dentist which I appreciate because it saves me money. They are relatively affordable for cash pay, even giving a discount for cash. The only drawback is he doesn't offer sedation dentistry and I had a rather unpleasant tooth extraction experience there. But don't let that deter you from normal dental care from him!​ read more

Just received a bill out of the blue that goes all the way back to 2020 for myself and my two kids. The bill is for $676.00 dollars for the 3 of us over a period of 2 1/2 years. Never have I ever been billed before and never have I ever been told I owe anything. My 2 boys are actually on my their Dad's insurance and he's the one who takes them for cleanings. My last two visits were not even billed to my insurance, however they are billing me. The dentist and staff are nice, but this is insanity and it will take days to figure out how much I actually owe. 2 1/2 years of researching billing after changing my insurance 5 times during that period of time is time consuming. This is very unprofessional. The bill even states that portions of it are 30 days overdue and portions are 90 days late. This makes no sense, I've never received a bill and was just in for a cleaning in November and nobody mentioned a word about any late overdue amounts. So $676.00 bill at Christmas and hours ahead of me trying to figure this out leads be to searching for a new dentist!!!!! read more

Your examination starts with digital X-rays only if needed, followed by Dental Hygentist through cleaning either manual or ultrasonic (depending upon your teeth and gum condition, and followed by a really thorough exam by Dr. Dever. Dr. Dever has successfully replaced broken two top center primary teeth both encased in crown. There are no surprises with Dr. Dever, DDS, just straightforward quality dental care. Painless denistry. Ask any question and it will be answered. Kirsty at the front desk is both a receptionist and a trained dental assistant who understands what you are talking about. Insurance manager is fully understanding, listens to you and pursues your dental claim. Office is so clean from the waiting room to the chair that you could probably eat off the floor. I went in for a cavity. I thought it was a little weird they were doing impressions of my teeth for a cavity. He continued to hollow out the tooth and then told me I needed a root canal. At that point he moved on to another patient and Kristi came out with a credit application because I didn't know if I could pay for a root canal at that time. And with the dental dam in place in and drool running out of my mouth I filled out the credit app. After I was approved for the credit he continued with the root canal and provide a temporary crown until the new one could be made. Meanwhile they charged for the whole procedure which was about $3000 which I was responsible for 600. BEWARE of a dentist that doesn't know the difference between a cavity and a root canal. read more

They squeezed me in with a couple hours notice, the receptionist Christy was so warm and welcoming when I arrived... The office is very clean and nicely decorated. The hygienist was very personable.... And the dentist, soooo sweet, gentle and professional! He explained everything to me in detail... I saw exactly what I'd be charged, and was given the option to go ahead with the treatment needed now or to wait till later, no pressure. For a dentist visit it was actually a pleasurable experience. I've been going to this dentist for almost two years now. My first trip in was a spur of the moment emergency, they got me in right away, took care of me, and everyone there was so kind to me. I had neglected my dental care for years and had several bad experiences from when I was younger into my early 20s. They put me on a plan to get everything taken care of and encouraged me multiple times to take better care of my teeth. I just had another cleaning yesterday, and one thing that stands out is they are constantly improving little processes in making it easier to get in and out quickly, while still making sure that all my needs, questions, and health was top of mind. Honestly, saying that every single staff member is knowledgeable, kind, and gentle is such a drastic understatement. The professionalism and care shown here is above and beyond. Amazing Dentist and office staff. I have never been here and found them on Yelp. Called and told the receptionist Christie that I had broke a filling. She got me in within 40 min of the call. Dr Dever was wonderful! He checked the filling confirmed it was broken and did a new filling all within an hour. The whole office staff were very welcoming and inviting. I was so pleased. I went to North Auburn Dentistry about a year ago and really loved them. I thought everyone was caring, very helpful and made you at ease. Awhile ago, I had to switch insurance and was not able to use it with North Auburn Dentistry. The new clinic said I had gum disease and charged me tons of money. Not feeling comfortable, I went back to North Auburn Dentistry where I would have to pay out of pocket. I did this as I trust Dr. Dever and wanted a second opinion. I am SO HAPPY, I chose to get a second opinion as it turns out my gums are fine! It was really reassuring to know I could go to Dr. Dever and get the truth. By far the best dental experience I have ever had. I had neglected my teeth for far too long and found North Auburn Dentistry in an emergency situation. I had a swollen face from an infection. Christy got me in right away (within in an hour), even though I had never been there before. Dr. Dever is very gentle and extremely understanding. Didn't make me feel bad for neglecting my teeth for so long. We got together a plan through following appointments, and so far all the work that has been done has been absolutely pain free. I can actually say I enjoy going to the dentist now (so weird to say but Dr. Dever and his staff are that good!!!) Go see them, they will take amazing care of you! Can't believe I continued to go here after the first visit. I hadn't been to the dentist in a couple years so I was a little nervous. I went in for a spot on my back tooth (which didn't end up being a cavity, just a stain) but Dr Dever explained that I had two cavities that could be taken care of. Shouldn't have trusted him. I didn't know what to look for when he showed me the xrays. Now I do. He drilled two holes in my teeth where there were no cavities. Went to a different dentist recently and had my new dentist check out the old xrays. Turns out it shows no cavities where I was told I needed fillings. After getting the two "cavities" filled, my bite was thrown off. He then told me to get a $500 mouthguard which cracked a few months in. If anything it made my bite worse. Oh and the dental assistant scratched my tooth where there was a soft spot. Now I have to get it fixed because there's a chip on my front tooth where she scraped away at a soft spot exposing the dentin. DO NOT GO HERE. I never write reviews but I am BEYOND pissed off. This is absolutely unacceptable. I would've been better off if I never found this place. Can't believe how careless and heartless some people are. Do your jobs RIGHT or get a new profession. This makes me sick. read more

I came here after 15+ years of not seeing a dentist, and with anxiety off the charts. Dr. Dever and his team are up to date on the latest technology (digital x-rays and Ultrasonic Cleaning, which I researched beforehand). They didn't push fluoride treatment on me which was important, as I choose to take a more holistic approach to my health. Everyone was kind and made me feel calm. I left with beautifully clean teeth, and only needing 1 filling for a small shallow cavity. I went to Dr. Devers after my wife had a great experience there. I work in a different area and am only home on the weekends and holidays. I knew going in that I have a difficult mouth with cracked fillings, broken teeth. He told me the severity of it and the best approach. Well, 6 months later I had another appointment and said what the issues where that I was having. We scheduled a root canal and a crown. When I got there he said what he would like to do and I said "Go for it". I spent 3 hours in the chair one day.....Dr. Devers only left for 10 mins. to talk to another patient...the whole time he was there working on me. He said after the 3 hours "Can you come back later today?" because my mouth was taking longer than expected and I wasn't in any pain and was able to carry on normally so it wasn't an issue. I suggested the next day and he said that would be great. I arrived the next day and spent another 4 hours in the chair and he NEVER left and worked tirelessly to get me fixed up. I now have a bridge, crown, root canal and was hardly in any pain...other than what was expected. To top it off, about 7:30 that night, he called to see how I was feeling and if I had any questions.....serously....when was the last time any profession did that?.....never in my book. Dr. Devers and company have a patient for life!...if I could give 10 stars I would! read more

My dentist moved to Texas and I was concerned that it would be hard to find another good dentist. After having my first filling done by Dr. Dever I feel so lucky to have found another good dentist. In fact I think he might be better than my last dentist. I don't see how anyone could be scared of going to the dentist if they had Dr. Dever.
