We decided to replace our HVAC system before it required emergency service during the heat of summer or cold of winter. I researched several manufacturers, models and obtained four price quotes. Each manufacturer offers several models with different features and options that affect the overall cost. Energy efficiency, reliability and warranty are typical items to consider. Also consider the dimensions of the outside and inside units AND mating to the exiting ductwork. Service and replacement part availability should also be considered. Perhaps color too. (wink) All things considered we selected the Carrier brand and Calvin Pierce Heating & Cooling to install the new system. Erick spent a long time with us reviewing the existing system and determining our needs for a new system which helped to refine his quote lower than a few others. This may not be typical, but from the time that we made our selection to installation was four working days. The installation took less than a day, even with the optional humidifier.
