Instead of burning gas going to each marina, I began calling ahead. Rogers Point was getting ready to close, but the person who answered the phone (it's a yacht club run by it's own members) said he will stay open and wait for me. I filled up and we were able to enjoy the rest of the night on the boat thanks to Rogers Point. The member who helped me also said to call the marina by radio any time when they're closed and any of the members will be glad to come out and open up the fuel pump. Great place just north of the Walkway on the Hudson for any boaters who are ever in need of gas - and reasonable gas prices.

We chose Coeymans Landing Marina to haul, dismantle, and load the boat for shipping to South Dakota at the end of the trip. We chose Coeymans only because a lot of other online reviews were good and they used to be a big Mainship dealer in the 1990's. We pulled up on a windy Saturday morning. Five people helped us in -- a combination of marina employees and just friendly slipholders. Owners Hedy and Carl were very, very friendly and helpful. We went over the dismantling with Eric the service yard foreman for about half an hour, and then left to fly back to SD -- and they took it from there. Eric was fantastic. Without my even asking, he texted us photos of the work literally every few hours. The props had gotten damaged on the trip and Eric took care of getting them shipped out, reconditioned and rebalanced by a service in Newburgh, and then delivered back to Coeymans just in time to get loaded on the 18-wheeler. They did a fantastic job on prepping the boat for shipping, replaced the aft air conditioning unit because the old one was shot, and loaded that boat so well that everything arrived in South Dakota in good shape after a 1,500 mile road trip -- and all for a very reasonable price. We couldn't be happier with Coeymans, we got lucky.

The price was a little steep, but I didn't mind because their docking prices are so reasonable. I dropped the boat off with them to get the hull primed and painted on a 19' boat (including jacking it up off the trailer). The price was $1000. The job was done in just under 2 weeks, which was a decent turn-around time considering the weather was rainy and they had lots of other boats to work on. The paint job was outstanding - they were able to figure out where the waterline began, which is difficult to do because I keep the hull clean. Upon picking up the boat, they took their time to explain how bottom paint works and how to maintain it at the end of the season. The employees here are all patient, friendly and helpful. I'm looking forward to keeping my boat here again in the 2017 season.
