I go to the Orange Park Office. Prior to Normandy Dentistry taking over, I had a dentist there that I wouldn't trade the world for! After she left and the business became Normandy Dentistry, I was a bit nervous because it's hard to find a good dentist that understands and connects with you. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews but as a new patient of Dr. Lee and Dr. Che, I can say that I've received nothing but kindness, great work, and amazing service from both dentists and the staff. All the dental hygienists were so kind and my teeth always feels so clean afterwards. The front desk staff are also sweet and helpful as well. I had a dental emergency where my filling fell off and the staff worked with me to make sure that I was taken care off. Dr. Lee did a fantastic job on my filling and my tooth looks great! Even better than before. I felt no pain and he was so patient and took his time to make sure my tooth was okay. He also takes the time to converse and listen to your questions and concerns and makes sure you're comfortable. I had no pain what so ever the next day and back to chewing normally! read more

Quality of care by Dr. A. was exceptional but the office staff taking care of insurance doesn't care that the estimated 3 times what you owe after insurance because they recommend financing through Cherry. They told me I would owe $2100.00 over insurance and I only owed $750.00 over insurance. So I financed and now have to wait 6-8 weeks for a refund. Being a senior citizen on social security it makes it hard to survive for the next 6-8 weeks. Obviously, they don't check to see how much your insurance will pay. Sixth and last time trying to call their university location apparently it no longer exist? Beats me. But when you call their number an AI voice says hello and then no options. Switched to this practice due to convenience and availability of services. The staff is very friendly and professional. My only concern with this practice is that they seem to charge more for the same services I was getting at my last dental office. Make sure to know your benefits and ask the cost before services. I have had to question charges and have had them remove duplicates. My nephew was over charged over 400 hundred dollars so instead of returning his money they tried to push him into more services. I had a routine cleaning and dental appointment on February 22, 2023 at 2:30 pm. My family and I, (family of 5) have been going to Normandy Dentistry for several years. Very frustrating visit. In all the years that I have visited Normandy Dentistry, I have never seen it function so ineffectively. I was first taken in by one assistant, I saw the Dentist and learned that I would need a crown on a fractured tooth. Waited for the Hygienist. Then, my cleaning started by the Hygienist, she stopped halfway through and stated I will be finished off by another person. Waited 10 minutes for a different assistant to come in and polish and complete my cleaning. The same assistant started making my appointment but then could not complete it because she could not explain the careplan. I was taken to the front, sat and waited to see another person to check me out to explain the costs for me crown. I was told that the crown would cost me $785 with my insurance. I asked her to explain to me how it could be that much as I recently had a crown done, around 6 months ago and have not changed insurances (Metlife PPO). In the past, I have always paid for a crown around $375-425, my deductible is only $50. That is a big difference in the cost and yet she still could not explain the care plan or the difference in the cost. I explained to her my frustrations from my visit that day and it did not seem to matter. Some people who work here are pretty nice and willing to help , but there are some workers that just don't care . Some of the staff behind the counters have no idea how finances work as they will set you up to pay more than you have to. They booked me to get a filling done , then on the day of my appointment they tell me something was wrong with my insurance. This place is a giant crown factory. They are overcharging to pay for their too large office. Several screw ups. Temporary crown did not even last 24 hours. X-rays "lost" resulting in multiple trips to fix. Told us what our out of pocket would be and we paid in full, only to get additional bills later! Several attempts to get resolved went unanswered. Call backs and audits promised and never received. Finally paid them to get them off our back and protect our credit. So I would say care quality was not good for this reason. I came in here with the intent to get my teeth deep cleaned and whitened. I didn't have any pain or problems with my teeth beforehand. They pretty much told me I couldn't get anything done unless I got fillings done. So I followed their recommendations, they did the fillings around May and I have had non stop pain since. They had me come back for 3 treatments of desensitization and then she said come back in 4 months. I've tried contacting them now twice about the pain I'm having because I can't eat anything on the left side of my mouth that they did the work on. I'm grateful to have lost 20lbs but starving and tooth pain was not the way I wanted to do it. I called yesterday and talked with your patient accounts person and she said she had verified my insurance and if I did not hear from her to e there today at 2pm. So, I came in today for my appointment. There were two ladies already waiting in the area where I was seated who had issues with the and I was beginning to think...do I really want to come here!?? I gave the girl at the desk my insurance card and it took her 50 minutes....yes 50 MINUTES on the phone with Blue Cross and she said I had a wrong ID number and I did not have insurance. Finally her manager came out and I was on the phone with them and they confirm I do have dental, just not medical insurance. They took me back in the room and did an XRAY of my tooth and the dentist walked in and said YOU NEED A ROOT CANAL because of a huge ABCESS! You want it today? He said he would send the financial person in which he did. He came in and said that my insurance would probably deny the claim for a crown because it would e considered cosmetic. I said really...I have had crown my whole life~ he came back in and said well...its approved, but we are going to need half of your part which is 900 bucks today and then the rest upon seating your crown. I explained I didn't have it but the crown was split right down the middle and something had to happen today. NOT!!! This is proof that this office is run haphazardly and that no one really gives a flying flip how you feel or what can be done, they just want their money. This was a sad experience. As a long career medical professional it angered me to see and experience the lack of professionalism these people exhibited. From the people who answered the telephone to the poor patient care... this was an abhorrent experience. The staff were completely flippant concerning the amount of pain they caused. Recently one of my Lumineers broke off and since my dentist is in Los Angeles, I wanted to find an office in Jacksonville. After searching for a while I came across Normandy Dentistry. I am so glad I found this office because it exceeded my expectations. The staff was extremely friendly and accommodating. I was there for a consultation with Dr. Cho, who specializes in veneers. He was very knowledgable and vey professional. While discussing my case, he told me about what caused the damage in the veneer and how it can be fixed. Then he referred me to Dr. Zerbinopoulos, who specializes in Lumineers. Another extremely professional and knowledgable dentist! Don't plan on seeing the same Dr. or hygienist. Four months after a dental check up with a dentist I had a cleaning and now I'm going to a specialist. The specialist requested x rays and found out they have not been doing a full set I bet they were charging the insurance for a full set. They also want to charge you for a "warranty" on caps. I can't imagine a better dentist. As soon as you walk into the office, you're greeted with a warm smile and cheery hello by the receptionists. Then you get a calming sensation brought on by the relaxing music. The wait time was less than 5 minutes: awesome! The women here that clean your teeth are so kind and professional! What I love the most about this place is probably the televisions in the ceiling! They will pick out whatever channel you want, for me, it's the Today Show. I've met only one of the doctors out of four here but she was so sweet and very complimenting over my teeth. She and I bonded over where I work (Buckle at Orange Park Mall). She'd shopped with us a couple times. I recognize when someone is trying to connect with their guests and she and my hygienist really made a huge effort to connect with me which is awesome! Then at the end of the appointment they walk you to another receptionist desk where the woman behind the counter will politely and efficiently get you out of the office and set up on the next appointment very quickly! Roughly ten years ago, a friend recommended Doctor Lee to me. Soon thereafter, I made an appointment to have some minor dental work done. At that time our country was going through a severe economic collapse and, as a result, I had just been laid off from my railroad job after twenty-two years of service. However, I still retained my health insurance. When Dr. Lee asked me what I did for a living, I briefly explained my then current situation. After hearing my response, Lee very sarcastically suggested that I stand on the side of the road with a sign that read, "Will work for food." I went to Normandy Dentistry approximately 2 years ago and this is not my first post regarding this business because I cannot say anything good about them I have tried but then it comes back to bite me in the rear. I too went to them thinking what a nice place it was modern the people were all smiles offered me water they could do no wrong is what I thought at that time so I gave them a rating when I returned home after my visit in which I received x-rays and was talked to about what need to be done and the price of all of it (I thought) since they did not take my insurance I signed up for the insurance boy I thought they were better than grits and gravy so I went and got the money to pay them($7,161.00 cold hard cash). When growing up we did not go to dentists unless you were in pain so I went into this facility TRUSTING these professionals to treat me for what was needed not to take advantage of a situation with me not having a clue as to what needed to be done so the process began. Now after cleanings and waiting on their lab to get things done temporary caps that kept falling off and paying more money $200.00 here $300.00 there and yes I do have receipts for these payments I get an upper partial and a lower partial, the lower partial had two back teeth on each side and on tooth on the front of the denture. I wore them a little while and was never happy as it looked as if that front tooth was discolored compared to my real teeth and the top denture I did not were at all as it just didn't fit right after a few social media reviews we came to a settlement that the would give me my money back (approx.$1,366.00) now when I met with Jenny Martin who is the General Manager and Danya McGee Office Manager I asked them re; the warranty in which I paid them $907.00 for a 5 year warranty and they to me and my sister that it would still be good welllllllll guess what I dropped my dentures and the one tooth that stood all along broke so I called Ms. McGee and she told me that the warranty had stipulations and I told her I had read them and become upset as I had to fight to get the refund on the upper teeth and did not want to go thru that again and she said just to come in and let them check them well I knew they were not going to do anything without requiring more money as I am 66 years old on a fixed income,and my husband is a Vietnam Vet with PTSD and have enough on my plate without this but I went anyway to be met by a dentist tech (hygienist) nd she takes my dentures looks at them and goes and get another hygienist who told me what it would cost me for repair ($273.00). I told them I would not pay another dime to that place and to let Ms. McGee know I would see her in court and on social media if you really read these reviews you would see that Ms. McGee the Office Manager did not come out and face me to tell me this she sent someone that I am sure gets paid less than her. Getting to the end of my story I have had my tooth repaired for $139.00 and it looks so much better and I did in fact have if finished in one day, I did have a way to make me go away and never return to Normandy Dentistry which had Ms. McGee had any customer service skills she could have said we will not charge for the repair as you paid $907.00 for your warranty we will fix this problem if you will sign a wavier not to return to Normandy Dentistry as I had no intention of ever going back any way but she did not try to save a customer instead she chose to send me away upset and now that I have a new dentist I will be filing a complaint to the better business bureau for the second time and I intend to take this company to small claims court I may not win but this has to stop. YOU ARE PAYING FOR ALL THAT NICENESS AND WARM TOWELS BUT THE MINUTE SOMETHING GOES WRONG THE OFFICE MANAGER DOESN'T COME OUT OF HER OFFICE OR SHE HANDLES YOUR BUSINESS IN FRONT OF EVERYONE. Service is always great. People at the front desk are always smiling and happy to help. There is never any pressure put on you in regards to their suggestions. They are very cool about how they kind of put out there what you need and let you make decisions that you are comfortable with both medically and financially. Let's be honest though what really matters here is the work. They are top notch in that category. As someone that is terrified of the dentist (even as a 34 year old man), they always make me feel very comfortable in the chair. I used to go to the Dentist for over two years, oved it and the staff was wonderful. There are a lot of things that have changed including the staff. The accountant that they have is horrible and extremely rude. They bill you for things that you do not need to pay for because your insurance will cover it but they want you to pay upfront. These people never contacted me but sent me to a debt collector for $100 and did not contact me to advise me of this bill. I got a letter from the debt collector and not one phone call. When I contacted Normandy Dentistry they advised that I owed a $100 because of my deductible but I had already paid for my visit and the deductible in the amount of $146.20 on the day of service because they don't do any services without you paying first. When I spoke with the rude accountant she advised now that I owed them $30 and I couldn't make an appointment until I paid the $30 for them sending my account to a debt collector. I refuse to pay $30 because of her incompetence and her error. It appears to me that this provider cares more about the money and not their loyal patients. I originally came here because of the convenience of this location to get various cavities fixed. One of the dentist filled one of my molars & after I experienced terrible pain for severals days, then weeks. I returned to ask why it was hurting so badly & he told my that because my cavity was so deep in my molar that the filling was causing my gums to become inflamed, he gave me pain meds, medicated mouth wash & to wait it out or else a more extensive/ expensive route would have to be taken. A month went by and the pain was the same, I went to a different dental office to receive a second opinion & the dentist told me that there was a piece missing in my filling that was causing food, air, bacteria to get stuck in there & was causing my gums to become inflamed & what was causing my pain. I had to get the filling redone to have this error fixed. Hopefully my story is not the same as anyone else coming to this office. But something so simple as a filling became such a big pain for me for over a month. read more

Normandy Dentistry SUCKS! Don't do it!! Here's why! Use to be a fantastic place to go when Dr. Lee actually did dentistry work. Here's a back story, I had braces when I was younger... and I didn't care to wear a retainer often. Well... as I got older I noticed my teeth shifting and so I wanted to correct them. Dr. Lee and Dr. S were awesome! My teeth looked good, and now that I had to pay for it myself, I wanted to make sure I took care of them. When I got my braces off back in 2016, I was suppose to get a Hawley retainer and until that came in they gave me an Essix retainer so my top teeth didn't shift. When the Hawley came in, it didn't fit. So they molded me again for another. Waited for that to come in, STILL DIDNT FIT! So we did a 3rd impression. I never heard back after that. Of course they said they called and left messages, but I can print my phone bill out to prove that never happened, but that doesn't even matter now. So now, today, 4/25/ 2018. That cheap Essix retainer broke. I made an appointment to see the dentist to get new ones. Saw the dentist 4/3 Well... they said I needed to have x-rays and a cleaning. I did that. Then they said, oh you have x-amount of cavities before we can do your retainer. I'm like really, why? Oh because we don't want you to have pay for another set if the fillings fit different . Ok,whatever I'll do that... it can't hurt. 4/18 got my fillings done! Fitted me for my retainer. They don't want to do my top retainer until my bottom 2 cavities are treated...I'm like the dentist didn't see a problem, well the ortho people said itd be easier to do it all at once. Ok, fine. Make the appointment for 5/1. Now to today... 4/25 which is 7 days after my initial fillings for my top. I had been having throbbing pain, but I figured it was normal since I had dental work done. But I made an appointment just to be sure it was nothing. Come to find out that I need a root canal and crown on a tooth that they just filled and the front office lady tried blaming it on me! The dentist numbed me cause she wanted to give me some relief... thank Jesus! But I wanted for a account coordinator or whatever they are to come in, and they showed me a bill with $3000+ on it. I said, umm why am I paying for that if it's clearly your dentists fault that this Happened since he drilled to deep. She left the room and went to talk to someone else. I waited and waited. I got up to check myself out because it was taking forever. When I got to the front I assume the lady was the payment coordinator manager who showed me the new bill, taking off roughly $70 for the filling and applying it to my new estimate. I got loud because I literally only went back to the dentist to get my retainer that I never got in the first place! My teeth didn't hurt. My mouth was good besides whatever they "found". As I got louder, I assume the office manager came over. And I explained again how I only came in for retainers. She said, you let it go too long and there's no guarantee that it works since it's only 2D imagining. She said "ortho can't do anything until the treatment plan is complete" which is BULL POO cause they told me before I got my braces that I needed a crown on a tooth I got a root canal on when I was 16, and guess what, I didn't get the crown, and I still got the braces. I asked to speak to Dr. Lee and she said "no, you can't talk to him" as she smirked. "You have me." I left before I got colorful with my verbs. But BOTTOM LINE .....DO NOT GO THERE! I went there and there were so many things that happen. It could be a book. 1) The crown was metal. The hygienist told me it would be an enamel colored ... Surprise!... I will say, on first visit, Dentist initially said metal. But, hygienist followed up with enamel colored. I really didn't sweat it, as long as the tooth would be fixed. 2) On appointment day, the person acting as my hygienist was actually an admin person, not certified to be a hygienist. At least that's what she said, when I asked. 2) The Crown was too bulky during the test fit. So, the admin/acting hygienist requested the dentist. 3) The Dentist ( I've never seen before) comes in wearing the same paper yellow gown he saw the last patient in. He takes a picture of the tooth with the crown placed on it and tells me it's right. I let him know Right or Wrong...my teeth are NOT touching, it may be difficult to eat, and the exact same thing happen with the temp. The temp had to re-adjusted and reapplied several times due to the amount of enamel the primary dentist in their office grinded down. I told him the fit was not comfortable. He was knodding, as if listening. Then he said it would be fine due to I had to get work done on the opposite side of mouth and it would correct it... ( I've never heard such a thing like that, before then.) 4) Still not convinced, I ask if he could use contact paper to see where the teeth are taping. He said it wasn't needed. 5) He CEMENTS a PERMANENT crown in my mouth that is bulky, causes my face to hurt, and tooth pain of my other teeth. I also have bells palsy and TMJ. So, this weird bulk helped nothing. 6) He finishes and walks across the hall to the next patient, wearing the same yellow gown. I ask the admin/acting hygienist do they have more yellow gown protectors. She says they have lots...uh,ok. 7) I tell her I'm going to go try to eat on the weird feeling tooth and let them know. So, I left their office. I grabbed food and couldn't eat it. I text them and they replied they couldn't see me because it wasn't an emergency. 8) So, I asked if it was an emergency for me to come in for a correction. Why is it not an emergency to ensure the correction is correct and not causing further pain & discomfort? They avoided answering and suggested it was elective during a time when they only do emergencies. They said see you in a month, basically. So, I asked if they expected me to go a month eating soup and in pain. They told me to go read CDC and ADA guidelines for answers. So, I did and reported back to them the guidelines places my situation in with emergencies needing care. From that point on, they just started ignoring my calls, voicemails, and text. Am I expected to keep begging them to correct their error? 9) I guess that's why they are for payment up front. Because, it's ok if they screw you over. But, they certainly don't want to be screwed over. I've never been to a Dentist office where I had to beg and pay for a service...Again, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! 10) I have contacted 5 other dental places, my insurance company, and my old dentist. The dental places don't want to work behind an error, one dentist suggested I call BBB and my lawyer, and insurance says they will support me going to another dentist if I can get someone to work behind the error. Insurance also says I can file an appeal for the funds paid to Normandy Dentistry. As a last resort, contacted Emergency Dental. They said I have a valid emergency with only two solutions.They suggested ask Normandy Dentistry correct error ASAP or they could pull the tooth and charge me. I never wanted any of this. I just wanted my tooth fixed. Now, I have a headache and tooth ache...Never again. Everyone be careful when chosing a dental office for you and your family. Make sure your choice actually has a love of dentistry and making their patients happy. read more

Once again, Normandy Dentistry has shown to be a haphazard run dental office. My husband went in for a cleaning and he waited so long (almost an hour) they agreed to waive his extra fees ($26). Fast forward months later and we are being asked to pay the $26 and the person who waived the fees doesn't work there anymore! Anyone who has been to that office knows you cannot leave without being taken to the billing area after your appt. He was taken there and the $26 was waived and now shoddy Normandy Dentistry is asking for their money. They are awful, so just stay away, we should have. read more

I love this place. Every dentist office I've been in previous to this one pales in comparison. I haven't gone to a dentist in at least six years because every dentist I have ever had seemed to either really hate their job or simply not care about their patients. Here you get the best of both worlds. The atmosphere is calming and everyone from the receptionist, to the dental hygienist (Becky is amazing), to the scheduler, doctor, and check-out is polite, respectful, friendly, and more than competent. They care about your comfort and your health. As I said, my last dentist appointment previous to this one was six years ago, so I'm not sure if their equipment is as high class as I believe it to be or if I'm just behind the times, but I'm telling you-- Normandy Dentistry is just awesome in every way. read more

BEWARE****went to Normandy Dentistry and was quoted $3058.00 for dental work...went to another dentist Greenburg Dental and they quoted me 1430.00 ....Normandy Dentistry is all about doing work that doesn't need to be done and charge you outrageous price...,they will try to get you in soon so you won't know what hit you. Every time I go to Normandy dentist I leave feeling cared for. The staff is professional and know what they are doing. There are so many hygienists working that I don't always get the same one, and then I'm disappointed because I like the girl that worked with me last time. However, at the end of the visit I always think, well that was good, maybe I should ask for her next time. they are all wonderful. read more

WOW! I had the best experience ever at this dental office. The front desk staff made me feel very welcomed and comfortable upon walking in and my Hygienist Lindsey was the greatest and Dr. Bockhorst was super awesome. Even though I am usually nervous about coming to the dentist, they made my appointment easy and smooth! Every dental office should take notes!!! read more
