Please note that EVERYONE who goes in for having lab work done is NOT FEELING WELL and deserves a bit of compassion, but I would have been fine with mere manners/politeness. Instead, I got the exaggerated raised eyes when I didn't immediately take a seat and have my coat off in record time. (There was no easily accessible hook for my bag and coat; to get to it, I would have had to cross paths in the tiny space with this person and risk getting in her way). And the tone...! I was super-polite and wished her a nice holiday at the end of my visit (b/c it is the day before Thanksgiving). Now I just feel like an idiot. Why was I nice to someone who was treating my like an insect? Bottom line: you are in a healthcare setting and people are sick and/or worried about their condition. Show some empathy. But I guess kudos for cranking through patients to get them on their way. There is something to be said for that. Still--does not require rudeness to accomplish.

I got there at 8:20 and they saw me immediately. I was tested, treated and sent home with a diagnosis in about 30-45 minutes. They even sent an electronic prescription to the local CVS for me, as it turns out I had bronchitis. Everyone at AFC Urgent Care was friendly, polite and professional.

It was after 5PM, with no options that were very close to where we are staying near the mall. I'm so glad I called them. They were great. Everyone I dealt with from the administrative rep to the medical personnel were kind, patient, and knowledgeable. It was a cheerful facility, clean, bright and plenty of parking. Even though I did leave in a boot and on crutches, it was a positive experience. Highly recommend them!
