We remembered a note in one of the SPMUD's newsletters that asked customers to call them first if they had sewer problems. We called and 2 crews came to our rescue. The dispatcher was amazing and had a the field supervisor and a team of technicians at our door within 30 mins. The technicians worked tirelessly in stormy weather until the problems were resolved. They were professional, friendly and conscientious. We are so incredibly thankful for their help. SPMUD must be doing everything right to hire and retain such super heroes!!! NO lie, $450 in June 2023 and now $850 in June 2024. We have actually been using a ton less energy this year in attempts to avoid higher rates but it doesn't seem to matter. We are always in the "red" for energy usage even though we are well aware when to use and when not to use our appliances. Even when it was over 110 degrees, we kept our house a sweltering 82 degrees. We have even had PG&E come out to assess our meter and any other possible malfunctions, but it all checked out. I am 1 income in a small, single story house, with a husband and 4 young kids. In the morning I tried to call some of the AC companies & they were all booked & wanted to charge $350 to replace it-Geeezuz! So I went to Home Depot & online to research for a new disconnect & found an identical looking one on Platt's website, just a different name Eaton. Few emails & calls later I had me a new disconnect & fuses for less than $50!
