This is my local stop for cat food! They have a massive dog selection, will say if I had one I would be going even wilder. But they have a humble cat selection with great brands, glad to say each can I've seen for cats is quality food! The type of cans I would spend for my baby's. The staff is very kind and I also love that when I came in and didn't see the food for my cat, they let me do special orders which is another great way of giving back to your community by supporting local shops who can do this! read more

This place is so kind. They were providing pet food to people in need during the pandemic. A casual pet food bank of sorts. I love seeing local small businesses providing for the community, even if it doesnt return an immediate profit. I was taking in an orphaned kitten. I lost my job and income during the pandemic, and 6 weeks later, I still havent heard from UI. I discovered that NoPo Paws was providing pet food for people in need (like me!). I told them of my situation and they were incredibly kind and gave me a big ole bag full of REALLY nice wet and dry food! It was even better seeing that the wet food is actually my adult cats favorite (she is on prescription food so she doesnt get it too often). I live in the neighborhood and come here from time to time. I will definitely be coming here more once I get back on my feet. Thanks you guys! read more

Still like the place. The person I thought was the owner isn't, I've met the owner and both of us find her knowledgable but highly opinionated, which could manifest as her telling you why you don't want/need something that you're looking for. That's a taste I haven't yet acquired. Other staff have been quite friendly and helpful. Smaller shop with a very good selection of foods, and they will special order food for you. The games and puzzles are a plus. Many of the toys and garments are US made eco friendly. Parking is a challenge due to the nearby bars and church. There is a 15 minute spot out front that has always been occupied in my experience by someone who clearly can't or won't read. Hours on weekdays are hard if you work 8-5, the one time I attempted to shop there at 10 am they hadn't opened by 10:20 (had to leave to get to work), and there is zero parking in the evening (bars, how could we live without them). read more

I walked around looking at everything... makes me want to own a pet store, or own about five dogs so I can come here more often! The woman who owns/ works in the store is always very helpful when I stop in to buy cat food. My cat is older and she was able to give me some good recommendations about his changing needs as he ages. It's a very clean store and has a good selection of high quality food. They don't have a large selection, but what they do have to choose from is all very good and healthy for your pet. They also have a lot of unique dog and cat toys (more so for dogs) and a frequent buyer program. A friend suggested I try this pet store as my dog has a very specific food that most pet stores don't carry. Not only did she carry this brand, but she was extremely helpful with all of my other questions. We were able to talk about skin issues, coat problems, allergies, etc., and I really appreciated how she spoke with personal experience. Was in town with the family on vacation and needed to pick up some food for our dog. Our doodle recently stopped eating his regular wet food and was turning his nose up at any we tried. Half of the Isles are inaccessible even more so if youre disabled. The lack of parking is horrid and dont even get me started on the owner. She gave my dog a treat without asking and i could tell by her voice she was judging me for buying lower quality dog food(even though its the highest quality i can afford). read more

This spot is a great business. They have tons of quality items and food for our pups. The owner is a doll and genuine. NoPo Paws is really active in the community here in North. A lot of the times that I stop in for pup food they are hosting adoption events and it makes for a nice energy and environment. Not the place to shop if you're queer or disabled. The parking situation is terrible, the aisles can be inaccessible, and the owner puts business before ethics in absolutely appalling manners. She will not respect your boundaries as a pet owner and will give your pet a treat without asking or notifying you of the ingredients. For someone so hard pressed to make you buy raw and overpriced food for your dogs, she seems rather contradictory in her actions. She will talk smack about customers as soon as they walk out the door and pressures employees into upselling while using gaslighting methods. This is a very cute shop with lots of great stuff for pups, and soon kitties as well. I went in and got treats for my pups, which made them very happy and new leashes, which made me very happy. The owner was very hurtful and queer bates the NoPo community. She dresses and speaks to you as if she relates to your struggle and then manipulates you into buying expensive products. She was pushy and rude to me, my family, and didn't even ask if she could give my dog a treat. I'm appalled and I will never be returning to this shop. Pets on Broadway is much better. read more

NoPo Paws is the best - when I complained to the owner that I was driving all around town to get all the specific food/treats I needed for my cat and dog she offered to special order for me so that I could come to one place (amazing right!?)! Not only did she go above and beyond with this, she also helped me find a wet food appropriate for my senior cat by researching all the brands she carry's to see which one was the best for my situation. read more
