There are still many shop spaces vacant around, but this was a well serviced cafe by the local people. They have two main areas for consumers to use - one past the counter, and one as you step inside. They also have some nice seating outside, but its quite shaded early. The floors captured me for the simple wooden-crate-style look they have. Sadly, it would've been a long haul to find all the wood and fit it together, but the replica laminate was a nice warmth to the rooms. Tall ceilings allow for some interesting art to be displayed, and nice rust wired and rustic pieces feature around the cafe, bringing a clean yet rustic feel to the place. The counter of reclaimed random wood was definitely a highlight of the features. Staff were totally lovely and engaging - which is a personal fave for me - and the coffees we had were marvellous. I was really glad to have found a unique place that wasn't too hipster, too populated or too squished in. For a Friday, there was plenty of people to make it an enjoyable atmosphere - but I suspect that they will have many more patrons on weekends! If you are heading out to the Port, I very much recommend visiting this tiny cafe.
