Title: Beware of Unprofessional and Reckless Care…read more
I had an extremely disappointing and troubling experience with Dr. William Nate Upshaw. He falsely accused me of having an addiction, a claim that has no basis in reality. To make matters worse, he attempted to interfere with my Veterans Administration (VA) benefits - benefits that I've spent over 20 years fighting for. His actions were not only reckless and deceptive, but they also felt malicious, as though he was deliberately trying to harm me as a veteran.
Fortunately, my longstanding reputation with the VA helped prevent any real damage, and they even provided me with the information needed to file a formal complaint, which I fully intend to do. I am currently recovering from the unwarranted stress and harm Dr. Upshaw has caused, and I want to warn other veterans to be on high alert when dealing with him. His unprofessionalism is beyond disappointing, and it's clear that his care is neither thoughtful nor responsible.
What's particularly alarming is that this all came about simply because I asked a question about the VA, not him. His reaction was to lash out in a way that could have had severe consequences for my well-being. He even went so far as to send a certified letter, along with other information, that only further demonstrates his reckless and unprofessional behavior.
Veterans, please be cautious. Dr. Upshaw is not someone I would trust with the care of a dying rodent, so a human or a pet, is definitely a no-go.
Fortunately, he was arrogant in his effort to be of harm to me, therefore all receipts have from the Spruce Chat and a certified letter was also mailed, again all evidence. My concern is this, where there is smoke, there is fire. I was not the first and not the last. The advertisements display this space as being safe for diversity, which is just humans in all of the forms we come in, but no, not the case. I was not safe as a human and definitely not a human who is also a veteran, woman, BIPOC, and for any diagnosis I earned while on active duty.
Ironically the medication that I was prescribed, which I was alleged to be addicted to, I had not had, so please make that make sense. But irrational. behavior is toxic and the math never adds up correctly.
I clearly expressed to the VA the maliciousness from which this behavior derived. I sent all of the communication to the VA. This happened over a year ago, I am just sort of recovering enough to begin to address this matter, which is illegal as licensed physicians are to "do no harm".
My prayer is that Wayne Neal Upshaw experiences what he puts out.
As if one has not been violated enough, they get to experience it at space where I paid for care out of my pocket initially. Buyer beware, leave no soldier on the field.
