I am no longer with him and I am so thankful now that I saw all of this. I wish I would've looked at these as well. I was also talked to in a very disrespectful manner at times, he was also dismissive as he would fall asleep in the middle of our discussions, he would also get very impatient when he was trying to prompt to say certain traumas but I was finding the words are to create and he snapped at me to "just spit it out." The billing was also a challenge and he also diagnosed me with bipolar depression to which this was a new diagnosis and I have yet to have it confirmed since as I am with a new doctor. My PCP referred me to Cardiology and I was excited to get an appt right away with Dr. Mark Taylor. Before he stepped into the room, I hear him arguing with the nurse outside my room angrily asking why I am here, why I need cardiology, etc. So first impression before meeting, he didn't want to be there. I had edema in both feet and he told me I needed to be rushed to the hospital because it would be fatal if I didn't go - no tests or bloodwork done, just basing it off of a pulmonary embolism I had few months prior even tho I am on blood thinners. He was very condescending, no bedside manner, could NOT be bothered by anything I said when I told him these were not the symptoms I had. I frantically went to the ER and there was nothing wrong with my heart, lungs or brain and I now have an ER bill because this man couldn't be bothered to examine me and listen to me. read more

Dr. Taylor is a fantastic doctor. He is willing to go above and beyond to care for his patients. I've been a patient of his for twelve years. Yes, twelve years. He has helped me tremendously. Is he going to do flips and cartwheels for you...no. He is calm, quiet and a good listener. Relationship building is the key. He has little flexibility in his policies. That is clear. I've paid $200.00 for missing an appointment. It was my mix up. I wasn't charged $200.00 as well due to a conflict/confusion on their part. The front office staff has been friendly and kind. Never once have I had a problem. If you are a person that needs assistance, I would highly recommend Dr. Taylor. read more

Not only was he late to our appointment, but he seemed to be dosing off during the session. Consequently, I found another provider who has been fantastic. Dr. Taylor is terrible. The medication that he prescribed was alerted at the pharmacy to have a known cause of hallucinations when taken together. I also do not like the fact that he is offering counseling as well as medication. read more

Well, I guess I should have looked at reviews before scheduling. We were told at office while filling out paperwork that the Dr will not see my son because I didn't call them back the day before to clarify insurance which I gave them very specific information when I scheduled the appointment. They wanted me to pay in full for appointment instead of my $25.00 copay. When I argued they first agreed to take the copay and if the insurance didn't pay the rest I would be responsible which was fine but about 10 minutes later decided that the Dr refused to see him. We are new to Florida and I told them my son needed medication. They still refused. Don't go here ever!! Office staff was also very rude! Stay away! read more

Horribly rude staff, doctor is very old school and will treat you as you are admitted to him. He will not prescribe refills on any medication he prescribed unless you satisfy his demands which include an ASAP EKG and full lab work up. If you do fulfill his requirements, make sure that the offices that you scrambled to during the pandemic sent the information to Dr. Taylor's office. They will not notify you that they didn't recieve it, they will instead (and I kid you not) send a letter to your front door telling you that you are fired from the care of Mark Taylor and associates for not completing the required fulfillments. I had been seeing Dr Taylor for almost 2 yrs. Everything was fine until he had to submit paperwork to my employer for short term disability. I was scheduled for an appt to discuss the paperwork and during this appt he YELLED at me and i quote "Do you think i dont have anything better to do than sit around and fill out papers? I work 65-70hrs a week and get 5hrs of sleep a night. This is harrassment. Then he huffed out of the room. Later that day his office told me it would be $300- twice his regular fee to send the papers and it had to be paid in cash. Then he cancelled my next appt 2hrs before appt time. Then i received a letter saying he would not see me anymore. No professional ethic or empathy for patients. read more

Stay away. Rude. Consending. Told me I needed to take the Virgin Mary for my mother figure and I was probably dehydrated. I have severe anxiety, where I can't function. Prescribed me medication for bipolar. I've never been diagnosed bipolar. When I asked him if the med was an antidepressant he said "If you would just wait I will get there." I could go on and on. Told him I wanted a female therapist, because of my sexual abuse, set me up with him for therapy. Psychiatrist usually don't do therapy they do meds...Every Doctor I've seen since, while they didn't disparage him they made it clear, they would never send their patients there. Don't go. My insurance told me that Dr Taylor takes my insurance. I called and made an appt and a day before get a call from doctor's saying they don't accept it. The woman on the phone was stern and unhelpful. I called back a month later after talking to our insurance and talked to the same woman. She was just as unpleasant as before and since she had called before she was not willing to check into anything for me. read more

The older blonde office lady is beyond rude. Their policies are crazy. If you are a step parent you can't take your child in for appointments. I get fees for missed appointments not cancelled in 24 hours for habitual offenders, but when you have a sick child $200 cancellation fee is crazy....we don't have ESP and know when our children will be sick!! They can run hours behind or call and reschedule your appointment because the DOC is sick (as your driving to your appointment), yet you have to know in advance when you'll be sick and need to reschedule?!?! read more

I was on a cancel list to be seen for the 1st time . Waited a month and got a call to come in sooner. I was so grateful . Then the next day, an HOUR BEFORE MY APPT, dr Taylor canceled and said to find a new dr! And WOULD NOT tell me why. I will be filing a complaint with Tricare and calling the dr that gave me his name to warn them as well. What a POS dr! I waited almost 2 months for appt, got put on cancelation list, call came in that there was an open appt a week early, i took it. The day of the appt i am on my way to it, only to get the phone call that Dr is cancelling all appts for the day and they can't reschedule me because of computer issues. I was furious and the lady was not helpful at all or nice about it. So, as the other reviews say He is famous for cancelling appts at the last minute, just like he did me. read more

I been going to Dr Taylor for 7 to 8 years in the Brandon area, and he is a very nice person. i have my own Religion and he don't try to change me at all we can talk about how his church sees things and how mine see things, its no biggie to me i just want to discuss whats going on with me and we do discuss everything i need to talk about. Is it possible to give negative stars? I am a highly educated 36 year old woman with a 1 year old and a full time teaching job. I left work early (which if you are a teacher you know how impossible that is) and got to my appointment early. I had to bring my baby with me because I had no other option. Upon arrival the receptionist took one look at me and said "do you have someone to watch the baby?" She quickly informed me that Dr Taylor would not see me with the baby, it was policy. I was annoyed at that point but could understand, kind of. It was when she told me that I would need to find another Doctor because it is also policy that if you miss your first appointment as a new patient he will refuse to treat you. I am a mother seeking help for post partum depression and he turned me away because of my baby. I believe that is nothing short of malpractice. Please please please spread the word. read more
