The scallion sauce isn't too strong and no aftertaste lingering like garlic sauce. If you're not allergic to peanuts, definitely add the peanut bits. It adds an extra flavor. 8/10 The woodear salad: very vinegary and crunchy. 9/10 The potato salad:crunchy and the flavor is just right. Mild spicy. 8/10 The original soup noodle: too mild. Barely any flavor. 5/10 The mala pork intestine soup noodle: I got the regular spiciness level and it was actually quite spicy. If you can't tolerate spicy food, try mild or medium first. The pork intestine is bit chewy. Otherwise the flavor is good. 8/10 The seafood tom yum soup noodle: mild tom yum flavor. The soup base is slightly on the sour side. Overall is good. 8/10 Thai style soup noodle: the soup flavor is good. Not too spicy. 9/10 We also tried the brown sugar rice cake: it's just ok. Not crunchy enough. The brown sugar is missing some caramelized flavor. So it is a sweet rice ball. 5/10 I think the temperature inside would be fine if you go during a cool day. When it's a hot day, the restaurant could get very hot even if they turn on both ACs. With just 2 ACs insides, and eating a hot bowl of spicy soup noodle, we were all sweating inside. Though the food is good, I would not return during summertime. It's just too hot to enjoy a good bowl of hot soup noodle.

I asked to sub rice for noodles because one of my kids is a rice pot (can't go without rice) and requested extra sauce, which they kindly provided. The set meals are a fantastic deal; a full size entree, an appetizer and a drink for $19-20. An extra order of noodles is $2.50 and it's really double the amount of noodles that comes in your entree. I also ordered their new dish with has abalone and sea cucumber; this is not part of a set meal. I thoroughly enjoyed it. It has that umami sweetness that comes from a great soup base and the noodles are delicious as usual. The abalone was tender, the sea cucumber had a bite to it. There was fish maw and wood ear in there as well.

On a lark, we decided to check out this Russian Uzbek joint. Odd place, so far from Brighton Beach,…read morebut why not. We arrive at this small storefront place, with reviews from the NYT, the Daily News and the fricking Smithsonian! Small. Like 36 seat plus a bat, we could sit where we wanted. Ordered quickly. The got a 750 ml bottle of beer for me and 500 for wife, and excellent roast eggplant salad, then Manti (meat stuffed pasta like Georgian khinkali), and a skewer of salmon. Salmond was fatty, but the seasoned vinegar balanced that. Our Kasha arrived very late. We were mostly done, but it was well made, not mushy at all. Halva ice cream was slick. Hipster crowd. Very popular. A very pleasant surprise

Didn't know what to expect but really happy we decided to stop by. Its a bar type feel from the outside and really welcoming and chill on the inside. The waitress was super friendly and helpful; explaining everything to us since we were so undecided. We decided to get the scallion pancakes as an app. It was so flaky and had a great scallion taste. It was served with a yogurt sauce which was such a nice touch. We then got the Pelmeni which are handmade Russian raviolis.. so juicy and delish. As the main, we got the Plov, which is a traditional beef dish. I would eat this over and over! It was all so fresh ingredients. Not over seasoned, just a perfect balance of flavor. I really enjoyed Uma and can't wait to try different dishes!

They're the ultimate hosts -- warm, welcoming, and genuinely lovely people. The food was fantastic from start to finish. We began with perfectly tender fried calamari served with a delicious tomato sauce. The baked clams were excellent, swimming in a buttery garlic olive oil that was perfect for dipping their homemade bread. The thin-crust pizza had a lovely sweet tomato sauce and high-quality mozzarella. The meatballs were tender and flavorful -- the meat tasted like prime beef. For our mains, both the chicken parmesan and chicken francese were outstanding, and the side of penne alla vodka was rich and excellent. We tried nearly every dessert on the menu and they were all delicious. The wine list is reasonably priced, and we enjoyed a lovely bottle with dinner. Best of all, the service was spectacular. We came with a group of 12, and with only one waitress(some addditional staff as well), she handled our entire table like a pro -- fast, efficient, and incredibly attentive the whole night. Rocco's is a true neighborhood gem. We can't wait to return and highly recommend it to everyone

Main dishes we had Cacio e Pepe nice thick sauce & noodles which are made in house & the Shrimp franchese , very good sauce great tasting shrimp, decent side salad. We managed to have room for dessert, we had a Crème brûlée/ chocolate pie, I must say interesting combo good on the crème part, really good crust & the chocolate was more on the milk chocolate side not crazy sweet this was a decent piece of cake to try. As for the restaurant not bad, big space they have a small bar area. Service was good each time, price wise typical these days a bit on the high side but doable, we enjoyed our visits.
