What I really appreciate is that my food is made exactly how I ask, and I can literally watch them make it--nothing blocking my view. It's reassuring to see my meal prepared with care. The kung pao chicken and dumplings are always full of flavor and cooked perfectly, making each meal consistent and satisfying. Even during busy hours, the staff stay friendly and attentive, showing that they truly care about every customer. Isn't it great when a restaurant makes you feel valued and still delivers amazing food? Dragon King is my go-to spot for reliable, delicious Chinese food in Rockaway Park.

I can't recommend this place anymore, it's apparently been sold and the food is awful along with the unhelpful rude employees.

Overcharging from the listed menu prices and taking advantage of the community. Please know the…read morelisted menu prices before you order and get the correct change. They take advantage of patrons who won't count their change and when asked about it the employee got very defensive. After totaling the order, they round up to the nearest dollar to avoid giving back any change and call it "tax". It sad how bad Chinese people exploit the black & brown community. I witnessed them charging an older customer $7 for 3 egg rolls and didn't give him any change. The listed price on the menu is $2.00, but the employee then said it was $2.20 with tax. Even with a total of $6.60 the customer should have still received 0.40¢ in change. The employees know what they're doing and it's evident they've been stealing from the community for years with no recourse.

I had 3 beers, a small appetizer, and a small soup, and the total was only $45 including tip. You really can't beat that, especially with the view. Definitely a cute little spot to catch the sunset, grab some food, and relax by the water.

The calamari tasted like it was not seasoned and the meat was a little more tender than I'm used to. The sauce it came helped with the flavor but you definitely need a good amount of it. The mangosteen salad was OK ... think I would have preferred the papaya salad. The pla lui suan (branzino) was quite good and I liked it very much - size was enough to share since we already ordered apps. Service was fine and wait staff gave us plenty of space to leisurely enjoy our meal.

At $12 for vegetarian ramen and $14 for meat (+2 for egg) it was a bit of a bait and switch feel because there aren't many eating options in Rockaway Beach, much less in December, BUT it was really, really good. Service was pretty quick, too. High quality larger noodles. Flavorful broth. The tofu was on point. 2 large slabs. Could have a handful more of the sliced sweet potato topping but nonetheless it was piping hot and filling. Quality ramen, too. None of the stringy stuff. Indoor and outdoor seating. Bar inside. Call ahead for the hours in the winter time.
