Noodle and Dumpling has an authentic Chinese taste. The Xiao Long Bao are freshly made and not from frozen pre packaged. I would say they stay true to their name and the best dishes are the noodles and dumplings in comparison to other menu offerings. Service is standard and value is good on some dishes and okay on others. If you're craving an authentic, consistent taste for XLB, this is a good spot to come. For me, it doesn't hit the 5 star as it wasn't best in class for me. I would come back again though when I have the XLB cravings

If you're looking for a solid spot for authentic comfort food, Li Xiao Long (Noodle & Dumpling) delivers. The atmosphere is casual and the service is quick, making it a great go-to for a satisfying lunch or dinner. Xiao Long Bao (Soup Dumplings): These were a standout. The skins were thin but durable enough to hold the soup without breaking prematurely. The broth inside was rich and savory--definitely the star of the meal. Pan-Fried Dumplings: These had a perfect golden-brown crust. They offered a great contrast in texture, with a crispy bottom and a soft, juicy filling. Minced Pork Noodles with Meatballs: A very hearty portion. The noodles had a good chew, and the oversized meatballs were flavorful and well-seasoned. The fresh cilantro and scallions cut through the richness of the meat perfectly. The quality of the dumplings alone makes this place worth a visit. Whether you're craving something soupy or something crispy, they have the bases covered. I'll definitely be coming back to try more of the menu!

I've been seeing so many videos about this place so had to try it out! I we ordered the beef chow mein, beef pan-fried buns, general tso's chicken with fried rice, and wontons with chili. My top favorites were the beef buns & wontons with chili! The general tso's chicken was just too spicy for my liking and I felt like the chow mein noodles were thin but both are just personal preference! Everything had great flavor! The inside of the restaurant was bright and vibrant with neon signs! There was plenty of seating options as well. We ordered to-go and it was ready at the exact time they told us to pick it up.

Seated quickly at 5pm on a Friday. Within 30 minutes the place was packed. To us, that's a good sign. Our service was excellent and the food was served hot. We ordered General Tso's chicken and pork dumplings. Oh so good!! It's not a fancy place; it's more of a mom-and-pop start-up in a strip mall attached to Smith's Food King. It's clean but a little rough around the edges. A little paint would quickly shine it up. We will be back for sure!

Stopped by Noodle & Dumpling and had the pork dumplings, egg rolls, and a Thai tea. The pork dumplings were great--soft wrappers with a juicy filling and lots of flavor. They came out hot and fresh, and the broth inside the dumplings made them especially satisfying. The egg rolls were super good! Crispy and golden with a nice crunch, and the sweet chili sauce paired really well with them. I also grabbed a Thai tea, which was sweet, smooth, and a good balance to the savory food. Service was friendly and efficient, and the food came out pretty quickly. The staff were welcoming and everything felt well organized. The inside is casual and clean with a simple, modern setup. There are condiments at the table so you can customize your dumplings, which is a nice touch. Overall a really solid spot for dumplings and quick comfort food. I'd definitely come back to try more from the menu.

"Chinese" Oxtail Pho

I'm upping my review rating for Noodle and Dumpling just a bit based on a great bowl of Chinese Pho with oxtail the other day. Delicious broth and tasty toppings. The serving size was quite large and it tasted more Vietnamese than Chinese. And it's rare to find oxtail as a choice of meat in most pho places around SLC. The team who cooks and serve the food at N&D are quite consistently on top of their game.

Drop your expectations right now Sliced noodles with tomato sauce taste like spaghetti-o's with celery. Soup dumplings tore open before they even got to our table and left all their soupy goodness in the basket they came in. And also my heart. The good part was the fried pork buns but who has ever messed those up. They say it's made to order but the food was just warm, not burning hot. I came in here wanting to burn my mouth on a soup dumpling and unfortunately not so. Made to order is hard to believe. Mid fr I miss you din tai fung this meal left me emotionally starving

My new favorite spot for noodles and dumplings! I tried a few different dishes, and every single one was phenomenal--fresh, flavorful, and seriously satisfying. Definitely coming back for more.

We really enjoyed our meal here! The service was really slow, but the one man show of an employee was a rockstar! He greeted us, sat us down, took our order, served us, took our payment, and then gave us stickers at the end. The food was so tasty. We really enjoyed the soup dumplings, the green beans, the sliced noodles with tomato, duck, and wontons. I will say the food was slightly cold and I think it would have been even tastier had it been warm. The chocolate dumpling needed some sort of light sauce for dipping and was a lil rich on its own. The prices were quite reasonable. I will definitely be back.

Brought my out of town visitor's to try this spot. When we arrived that evening there were only 2 other parties seated. No one greeted us so we were unsure if we should seat ourselves or wait. My guest saw a sign at the P.O.S. machine that stated "wait here to be seated." A server came out from the back kitchen and saw us. He finished serving the other diners and then seated us. We got our order in and shortly afterwards it began to get busy with more diners. Upon observing there was only one waiter. He started to get overwhelmed and the customer service began to decline. We were very patient as we knew it wasn't his fault. He was host, server, food runner, busboy, cashier. All on his own. He did the best he could. All with a smile on his face! My soup was very delicious. A flavorful broth, tender beef, and perfectly cooked rice noodles. The dumplings were good, not the best I've had, but good. I would like to try more food items on this menu, but I don't think I would go out of my way to return. Especially if the service takes as long as it did on this visit. I hope they hire more staff to keep up with their popularity. They have great potential.

Food 10/10 the portions were crazy and most definitely worth it for the price. We came in about 4:30 it was moving a bit but we got sat and served under 10 minutes.

I have come here multiple times and I love it! The food is super yummy, I have tried a lot of the food and the soup dumplings, the pork fried buns, and the fried rice are my favorite! The service is great with the servers being very nice and the food coming out fairly quick! It's also a very cute place!

Great flavors & a fun atmosphere! We decided to try Noodle & Dumpling today. I'll start by saying that the staffing was very light, making for somewhat slow service. Despite this, the service we received was friendly and the one gentleman covering all the tables was working incredibly hard. The restaurant itself isn't very large. I'd say there were about a dozen tables at most. The decor is very bright and cute. The food was delicious. Great flavors and a great menu. Our soup dumplings were a bit overcooked making them very very flimsy. Other than that, everything else we ordered was fantastic. The portions were generous and the prices were fair. Don't skip out on the chocolate dumplings for dessert! Looking forward to giving them another try as they navigate staffing.

For starters, we ordered the Wor Wonton Soup. The broth was rich and hearty. The shrimps were large and plentiful. All the vegetables blended in with the flavors. I just wish the beef was a little more tender. A little marinade in baking soda would fix this. We ordered some chicken lettuce wraps. This has minced chicken, celery, bamboo shoots, and carrots. These are good by themselves but are best with hoisin sauce. I just wish the lettuce leaves were bigger. The Honey Walnut Shrimp was also good. The sauce had a nice blend of mayo, honey and lemon. It had a little too much breading for me but still tasted good. For $16.99, I wished there was a bit more shrimp. One thing I really appreciate - they GLAZE the walnuts! This is one of the few places that I actually like the sauce and they glaze the walnuts! The Crispy Beef is definitely my favorite. In fact, I think this is better than the one I get from Red Maple. It was not too sweet and had just the right amount of heat. Again, I really wish they would marinate the beef in baking soda to soften it up. The last dish we ordered was the Garlic Chicken. The server forgot to put the order in for this dish and there was a rush to get it out to us. They forgot to put garlic in this dish so wee sent it back. It was perfect when it came back. This place is fast becoming our go-to-place for Chinese Food. It's was a nice surprise and I'll can't wait to try the other dishes!

This tastes like mom's kitchen if mom had a high flamed gas stove. The dishes that benefited from that smoky hot wok flavor had it. I was so excited to eat I forgot to take pics of all the dishes at the table. Green beans with garlic was so tasty, I finished the leftovers the same night, I remembered to take a photo in the takeout container. The cauliflower (I don't know the actual name but it's stir fried, spicy and comes with peppers) had wok hei and I couldn't stop eating it. Beef rolls is the sophisticated auntie of the scallion pancake. Think of it like an asian burrito with thin sliced beef, fresh scallion and cilantro, and a touch of hoisin all hugged together with a crispy tasty scallion pancake. The shredded potato tastes like the best potato salad that isn't your picnic potato salad. The shredded potatoes were quickly blanched then stir fried preserving the crunch and crispness similar to al dente pasta. Seasoning was on point. The homiest flavor came from the stewed short rib. The rib pieces were braised in a soy and star anise sauce like what you find in Taiwanese beef noodle soup. The peels potatoes were cut rustically and just cooked through and not mushy. Authentic flavors and freshness like this is so so hard to come by. I can taste the quality of the ingredients used. One tip I have for selecting authentic food is by looking at the customers. If the customers are all Asian eating at an Asian restaurant, you know the food is going to be good. Service was 10/10, waitress was super polite and stopped by to chat with us about the food and SLC. I am from out of town but I grew up eating at NYC Asian restaurants and this is as good as if not better. If you happen to stop by the largest Costco in the world, make a pit stop here to refuel after all those steps.
