I got the bill, paid it, and added a $30 tip on a $30 dollar check; but for whatever reason the transaction timed out because I must have missed the button to complete the trransaction. I asked the person who was serving me to reset the machine so I could pay again and re-add the tip. I put my card in the machine, and the lady who was serving me took the cc machine and clicked 30% for the tip and handed the cc machine back to me as if I was stupid and did not know what she did. What made it worse was some dude came up to me and tried to tell me that is what the business does, right after I had seen the screen and options prior as if that was their policy. As one who has been in tech and the restaurant business for many years, I could not believe they were tying to pretend that it was ok.. It was crazy because she would have made more money off of me, let alone my friends for the rest of the week. It was SHADY that she would do that.
