I have been to Non Solo Pizza for many work lunches and it always gets better and better. They know how to do food, and do it so well. My favourite is the Pork Belly which goes down brilliantly with a glass of crisp Soave. The waiters are amazing and provide great customer service. I especially like dining in their courtyard, it makes me feel like I'm actually in Italy. And if you don't want to go for a whole massive meal, I like going there just for dessert with my girlfriends. Their sorbet and gelato is seriously, seriously good. Might have to go there tonight!

    A really good pizza

NSP is a big restaurant, with inside tables and a garden style, covered courtyard. It was a rainy, Monday evening when I visited and no one was sitting in the courtyard. Despite this, we didn't have to wait for a table inside at all. I'll start by saying I had a great meal at NSP and really rated the pizza (simple salami, tomato, mozzarella and basil is tough to beat). The spaghetti pasta was also very tasty and full of flavour - the touch of walnut was a very nice addition. However, watch out for the staff asking if you'd like sparkling water. Of course it would be too good to be true, but that bottle of San Pellegrino that just got put on your table, will end up on your bill. I think it would be nice if the staff mentioned this; but now you'll know that if you ask for a regular jug of tap water on the table you'll be saving yourself $9.50.

After I visited NSP for the first time, I was asked by a few friends what I thought of the experience. I remember saying that I liked everything except the name! I'm sure I'm not the only one who didn't know what "non solo" translates to. I walked right past this place a number of times when I simply wasn't in the mood for pizza. The first time friends and I visited NSP, it was with a stack of restaurant vouchers that we'd been given as a thank you gift. With a good couple of hundred bucks to spend, we tucked into a huge range of what NSP had to offer. The waiter gave my bestie and I a funny look when we both ordered the Pesceti Marinati as a starter, and when it turned up I saw why. There was more than two portions of this delicious dish - bite sized fish fillets with lemon, chilli and Italian parsley - on each plate and way too much for one person! Our mains were also enormous, as well as expertly crafted, which all four diners were extremely impressed about. We left NSP completely satisfied (and ruing the fact we'd always thought it was just a pizza place).

Every time I feel like a delicious fish dish, I head straight to Non Solo Pizza for their Market Fish. Amazing every time, without fail. Sitting in their outside area is divine in the summer, with gorgeous plants surrounding you and the sound of the water features trickling away, you almost feel like you are on holiday. The staff are incredibly well presented and treat you like royalty. I've been coming here with my family for a long, long time. Their extensive menu caters for all. Absolutely love this place!

Not only pizza. The name spells it out pretty much. They do a fantastic Italian pizza here, but then they also do a fantastic Italian pretty-much-anything. Sitting off the main road first timers to NSP are in for a pleasant surprise with two separate gorgeous dining areas; the cute Italian style courtyard and the elegant high-ceiling, mood-lit dining room. And then there's the food. My favourites are the bruschetta, antipasti, contorni and pizzas. There are so many delicious small dishes to try I'd rather share a selection and forgo the main meal.

Very nice environment for casual or business or dating dinner. Definitely will visit here again...food is not as bad either.

Osteria Bar Vino in Parnell Village is a quaint little place that offers the most delectable Italian sandwiches and pastries. I particularly enjoyed the BLT which had bits of crumbly porcetta and fresh herbs. I also thoroughly enjoyed the orange creme-filled cakes. Very lovely flavors and among my best food experiences in Auckland so far.

Non Solo Pizza in my experience has always proved to be ideal for larger groups. The small crowds that frequent the bar mean it is always accessible, with speedy service. The food is always delicious, with tasty Italian fare littering the menu. There is a range of areas depending on where you want to sit, from the bar at the front on the street, to the enclave behind the bar, to the alleyway leading into the restaurant, the main restaurant itself, or finally the outdoor area at the rear of the restaurant - complete with fireplace, this restaurant caters for all groups. My favourite is the seafood linguine, which I have ordered almost every time I have been there since it is so good - meaning it has actually limited my experience of the remainder of the menu.

Fancy place, good customer service. Amazing pizza!!!! We had the "mediterraneo" pizza and it was delicious. Their dough is crispy and perfectly cooked in a wood fire oven. It's worthy for the price specially for a date, special occasions or even a happy hour.

We really love the owner and chef, who is always happy to tell us honestly what he thinks is the best choice out of two options, or on the odd occasion, create a new dish by combining two things we can't choose between (we've been there enough to now be classed as 'regulars', it seems). The decor is hilarious - great mis-matching paintings/photos/who knows and even an in-built disco light that will sometimes be turned on if you're there for a birthday. It's just ridiculous. And so wonderful. We definitely rate the pasta over the pizzas, particularly the chicken fettucine, but the pizza is good too. They have GF bases available also. All in all, is a great wee place for when you want to go out but feel like somewhere cosy and relaxed, rather than fancy.

Its owner is like a pot-bellied, soft-spoken version of Kramer from Seinfeld. Ive gone so often over the years that he's become a kind of friend. In the old days orders were often forgotten. He would come rushing out, hunched over, hands clasped together, begging forgiveness and offering to make the 'special' pasta. Ten minutes later he would bring out a meal big enough to make lunch with for the next three days. It's been a while since they've made a mistake. I miss them. His restaurant isn't the fanciest place in town. It doesn't have Michelin star service. But it's the place I go to if I'm feeling down. Sitting in that strange orange room filled with faded paintings of Marilyn Monroe, old car ads and what looks like a group torturing someone in a medieval village square somehow makes me feel better. The best time to go is while experiencing that worst of tragedies: A birthday. The staff turn on the disco lights that hang from the ceiling and the place becomes the best party in town. We went recently on New Year's Eve. The owner sat down with us and talked about his struggle to make ends meet. He wanted to do better for his staff and his business this year. I kept thinking losing Eduardos would be a minor tragedy. It's one of our last bastions of glorious amateurism; a shambles that somehow assembles itself into something beautiful every single night. Also the food is really good.

We were about to turn away when my cousin thought to ask about takeout. I'm kind of surprised the server didn't ask us if we wanted to do that and was ready to let us walk out. We ordered 3 pasta dishes, a side of meatballs, and 3 pieces of tigella bread. That came out to about $70 USD. I might be a little off because I'm not sure about the conversion. Price wise, I'm not entirely convinced it was worth it. $70 for 3 people is expensive, but at the same time, FRESH, HANDMADE pasta! The food was good. No doubt about that. I'm glad we got a mix of flavors to share though, because it was one of those meals where you can only eat so much before your mouth starts to reject it. I LOVE cheese, but the tortellini with cream and parmigiano reggiano started feeling very heavy. It went perfectly in between bites of the tagliatelle with Bolognese though. The spaghetti alla chittara with gorgonzola and walnuts was my least favorite, but it was my cousin's favorite. Just a matter of preference. I was still willing to eat it though. The meatballs were so good. Perfectly seasoned and paired with the sauce. I was disappointed to see an order only had 4 pieces, but I don't know how much it cost. The bread was also delicious. The texture reminded me of a waffle, not quite crisp on the outside and fluffy on the inside. One order is only one disk-shaped pieced about the size of your hand. If I could, would I come again? I'm very tempted by the other items in their menu. As a person on vacation with little thought to budget, I absolutely would come again. If I was a local and had to watch my wallet, this place would be a treat, not something I could have often.

I came here with a group of friends and we wined and dined for a good two hours. I ordered the gnocchi with vegetables and it was fluffly, light, and freaking delicious. The portions are small but enough to fit dessert after and an appetizer first. The selection of Italian wines is fantastic, I was so excited to try as many as I could. I'm pretty sure I spent more money on wine than on food that night. My boyfriend ordered dessert after dinner and was happy about that. They have a tiramisu which I would die for if it was vegan. I would definitely recommend this place for a relaxed dinner with friends if you love pasta, wine and Italy!
