Naomi is hands down the best in her field. She is a true professional that transcends you into another place and time. With each layer of product she puts on your skin, you melt deeper and deeper into relaxation. Her facial massage is absolutely perfect. You can feel through her hands that she truly cares about giving you the best experience. I couldn't recommend her more, she is THE BEST! read more

Even though our group of 15 won't be able to fit in this space, I'm very pleased with the customer service! Thank you for recommendations that well suit what the bride wanted for our bachelorette party! If you're looking for a cozy, more intimate spot, this is it! If I go back to San Francisco with a smaller group, I would love to check this out! Thanks again! read more

What an absolute delight!! After a year of lockdowns I'm so happy that I came here!!! Naomi was amazing!! Kind, professional and so attentive! I will come again as many times as she'll have me!! Cannot say enough about this place!! Much read more

A long-overdue update: So I noticed this response from the owner, Naomi, recently: "I respond to every single voicemail I get from clients. I remember you called and asked if you could walk in or if I was by appointment only. I responded by saying i was by appointment only and then you hung up. Sometimes I wonder why people who live across town would purchase a deal from me if my location is not convenient for them. I've been located in the same spot for almost 10 years." It's interesting that you'd think I'd let a voucher I bought with good money go to waste, Naomi. I never got a call from you, and I don't think it's polite to hang up on people, so you must have mistaken me for someone else. It's not too wild to say that sometimes people like to try new places, even if it's a little out of the way. Are you telling me you've never gone out of your way to try a new restaurant, or check out a new store? You completely missed my point by the way. Quite frankly, I don't care where you're located and how long you've been there. I now know why your offer was on Groupon in the first place. read more

I bought a pinchit deal for a brazilan wax and a 50 min facial, little did I know that she is only open Thurs-Sat and she gets booked up 2-3 weeks in advance! Scheduling both of these together was a hassle, lots of phone tag, because I always went to the machine. If your business is SO popular, wouldn't you open your doors up another day of the week so you could get more customers? Anyways, the day finally came and all was well, until she started asking questions about me... Summing it up, she made me feel extremely uncomfortable. She made me feel guilty for getting a wax, because I'm too young apparently.. then she basically told me that my boyfriend and I won't last, because of the 3 min interrogation she gave me. Sorry I'm not going to spill my guts out to you after you insulted me in the first 2 minutes, when we have a WHOLE hour to spend together after that. I'm not sure if the wax was painless because of her technique or because I was appalled with her behavior. Facial was okay, nothing special. read more

A few weeks ago I tried Nomi Day Spa, and I was highly impressed. Naomi is lovely and she made the whole experience fantastic, from arrival to departure. I had a facial and really felt that Naomi took the time to get to know my skin and my personal needs before she started the facial, with the effect that I walked out looking and feeling great. I am definitely going back soon! Pros: great facials, good parking, nice treatment room. read more

The Yelp deal that I bought was for 2 waxing sessions. After my first initial one, I was very hesitant to go back. The experience that I had had was so painful that I was really considering canceling my second appointment and forfeiting my Yelp deal. And that's when Naomi called me and asked me to come see her personally. And so I did, and I'm happy that I did. Naomi was fantastic. She talked through the entire session, distracting me from the pain of having my pubic hairs ripped from me. She made me comfortable right away and even recommended an ointment to use after waxing, in order to minimize ingrown hairs and such. And the quality of the wax was very good. Hair were gone and the re-growth was pretty painless. I wish she was in a more accessible location. I don't have a car and so, although she has a parking lot, it doesn't do me any good. Public transport is a bit limited, but hey, it works. read more

I love this place! I got a ridiculous yelp deal for two waxes and was very happy with my experiences. It's super relaxing and the staff is most excellent. Lara worked with me both times I went for a wax there and she is the coolest. Super efficient and super chill. The only problem I have with this place is that it seems like it's in a bad part of town and it's difficult to get to if you don't have a car. read more

Nomi Rocks!! Best Brazilian hands down! I have been to a lot of places and even though this place isn't that convenient for me, there is parking and It's worth it to get a quick, painless service. I don't mind that she is only open Thursday- Saturday, I just make my next appointment while I am there.. 5 weeks on the dot! And who doesn't want to work 3 days a week, these unhappy, deal-seeking yelpers are just JEALOUS!!! You go girl!! See ya in 5 weeks!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! read more

I had a great wax here. Read a lot of negative reviews and decided to give it a shot myself. So I went in to get a brazilian, and Naomi was great. Very personable, and the wax itself was quick and relatively painless. I had purchased a groupon deal for 3 waxes, and it expires in April. I had my first appointment in August. Just called to book my second appointment and was told that I needed to book my second and third appointments within 14 weeks of the first appointment. I have reviewed my groupon, and it does inded say this. My error for not reading the fine print. I also told her at my first appointment that I don't wax often - and there was never any mention on her part that the terms of the groupon would require me to come back in twice within 14 weeks. Naomi was very defensive, telling me that it's really not fair to her if I don't read the fine print and that she would never remind her customers that they need to use their groupons within a specific amount of time because she expects her customers to read the fine print and, if they don't, well it's just not fair to her to make exceptions. She did say that she would make an exception for me but that I really should have read my groupon and went on and on about how hard it was for her as a business owner. When I told her that I would have appreciated, after my first appointment, having her highlight the fact that I needed to book my next appointment within 4-6 weeks in order to use the groupon, she told me that wasn't the way she conducted business and she didn't feel the need to remind her customers of the terms of the groupons that she offers. Fair enough. Though not at all customer-focused. I feel completely uncomfortable going back to her for such an intimate appointment after being told how incompetent I am because I didn't read the fine print of the groupon. Yes, my fault for not understanding the details. As far as her business sense, offending a customer who would have been a repeat customer, resulting in my only using one of the three waxes that I paid for meant that she now made $85 off of me for one wax. So I would say she's definitely great at making good money for her services - though she's also great at ensuring that she doesn't have repeat customers. Essentially: 1) Good wax 2) Expect poor customer service - she's definitely looking to make a quick buck and not looking to create long term satisfied customers. read more

I think it is very hard to find a skincare professional that walks the line between actually doing some lasting good to your skin and giving you a relaxing experience. Naomi does an excellent job of both. I saw her for both an eyebrow wax and a facial.Bboth services were excellent and my skin looked fantastic. Parking is very easy and she has a very relaxing room where she does her magic. Plus, she is in my neighborhood, so I very much appreciate not having to shlep it down to the Marina. read more

My luscious lashes will tell you that Naomi is a lash goddess, though I have to say, I might have loved our fun interaction a tad more than my batting capabilities! I am in love with lovely and welcoming people and Naomi tops the charts of good peeps to know. She is clearly passionate about what she does and also about making you feel confident and comfortable in her hands. Round of applause. As a bonus, she has other practitioners offering lots of health goodies for your continued healthy living success. read more

Naomi is the only esthetician I trust with my skin. She doesn't just slather me with a lot of nice smelling creamy things (although she does do that too), she deep cleans my pores, getting out the yucky residue of sunscreens and hikes and too many dog kisses. Naomi also does my Brazilian, and she leaven me nice and even without breakage and with a good shape, unlike the asymmetry and stubbies I have to accept when I decide to be a little cheep and go to the mani/pedi place. Usually, if I get a facial, I also go ahead and get a lash tint, which leaves my eyes looking smoky and sexy. But certainly, the best reason to go to Naomi is Naomi. She's natural, nurturing, grounding and present. I always leave blissed out. Highly recommended. read more

Like a vacation! I seen Naomi every 6 weeks for a deep cleanse facial and brow wax. Each and every time I walk through the door it's like a wave of relaxation flows over me and I have come to really look forward to my visits. Not only is Naomi extremely personable, but she is incredibly intuitive as well. I value that in someone who is providing a service for me that needs to be good BUT relaxing too. I always feel like I'm in the best hands for any spa service with her. I occasionally do bikini waxes which are the best I've had. Fast, painless and never awkward :) Naomi really possesses a gentle bedside manner that I have never found in any other esthetician. I trust and enjoy her presence so much that I asked her to do my makeup at my wedding. She nailed exactly the look I wanted and truly, truly brought something special and grounding to the experience. I would recommend her to anyone! read more

I purchased the yelp deal for Nomi day spa, and I was very happy with my brazilian wax! Naomi didn't do my wax, but the woman who did (Laura I think) was very friendly, VERY quick, as painless as a brazilian can be. Overall a very good experience, and look forward to going back read more

Naomi is a magician. Her facial left me relaxed and feeling great. I actually fell asleep while she massaged my shoulders. She also does great leg and bikini waxing. She is also a really lovely and sincere person. I enjoyed my time with her and will return. read more

I am remiss in writing this review. I've been going to Nomi Day Spa since relocating back to the San Francisco 4 years ago. Nomi was the first place I tried and the ONLY place I wanted to use during the last 4 years. It's located in a multi-use building, with a few other businesses. The vibe is very zen and there always yummy tea available. Noemi - the owner - provides stellar and personalized service to her clients. No matter when I arrive, I always feel like it's all about me - that's a good thing! I regularly have my eyebrows done and get a facial. Initially I was concerned about the facial because my skin tends to blemish and scar. Noemi took the time to talk about products with me BEFORE the facial, and together we made it an iterative process; trying different products as time went on. After each facial, my skin looks healthy and has a wonderful glow! I am very pleased to be a regular client of Nomi Day Spa. Sadly, I've recently relocated to Marin County, but find time to drive to the city for my facials at Nomi. The customized and caring service makes it well worth the drive. -Satisfied Customer read more

I had a wonderful experience here! The service was great and quick! Less painful than previous ones and I feel like she guides you through the whole process putting yourself at ease. Long story short, I'll be coming back! read more

I had been wanting to get a microderm facial done forever and a friend had told me about Naomi at Nomi Day Spa. The first appointment I had, I was in love! She is professional yet still calm and caring. I heard microderm could be a little painful, so I expressed my concern to her and she was very good at letting me know what she was doing and what might feel uncomfortable, but I nearly fell asleep because I was so relaxed! I've been in for 3 treatments and I look better every time! Love! You do need to schedule in advance, and I'm not sure why people are griping about that... A facialist who is booked often is obviously talented. I wouldn't trust my skin to a walk-in appointment! read more

Naomi has amazing hands! I really enjoyed my facial and something notable was this really cool technique she used to get rid of dead skin cells. I can't remember what the treatment was called but it felt all tingly and left my skin all dewy and glowing at the end and for an entire week after! The room is cozy and the bed is a dream to lay on. Will definitely be going back. read more

Laura did a deep pore cleansing facial and a lash tint. I had never gotten a lash tint before, and she was very patient with my very watery eyes. I was able to hold still well, so it turned out perfect. The facial was amazing. She took her time accessing my skin's needs, and throughout the facial she would give me tips on what to do after the facial to keep my skin healthy. She never tried to sell me the stuff they use, instead she gave me the name so I could research it on my own and decide if I want to come back and buy some. She did a ton of extractions which was AWESOME- I have a ton of blackheads right now. I really like facials, to me they are more relaxing than massages. I really want to go back for more, and I also want to try Naomi for waxing. read more

naomi is what makes this spot a diamond in the rough. the location is less than ideal (industrial potrero / 3rd street), but once you enter her door, that's forgotten, as her home salon is a haven of tranquility. she offers tea, and a comfortable couch for guests (or oneself, if you happen to arrive early). i went in for a brazilian, but to be honest, i haven't returned. the particular purple wax she uses for the "gentler" areas down south - although virtually pain-free - just isn't effective in truly getting the hair out by the root. after a few short days, i had some serious regrowth. i wouldn't return for a wax, but would definitely consider returning for any of my other aesthetic needs. read more

All, I can say is go!. Naomi is super sweet, her space is lovely and I was able to park right in front! And for all of you out there who get your eyelashes dyed, Naomi did it quickly and painlessly. Almost unheard of! read more

I am sure this place it as great as other reviews make it seem, it just wasn't that great for me. To clarify, the famous "owner" did not give me my facial, but another esthetician. The facial was fine, but nothing special, or better yet, nothing memorable. The location was a little weird and I felt unsafe walking there from the MUNI stop. The esthetician was extremely nice, sadly, the whole experience just felt a little bland. read more

Nomi is total serentiy... Easy parking, quiet and private space. And Naomi rocks. Complete professional, very calming, warm and friendly. She clearly cares about her clientele and the products she uses -- including painless wax (really!). She's very speedy without rushing. It's usually more like "wow, you're done already?" read more

I too purchased a Gilt City deal for my first ever brazilian. I was a little nervous, but it did not hurt nearly as bad as I thought it would. I was VERY surprised. I decided to come back and do a review after recently having a brazilian done elsewhere(local to me) that HURT SO MUCH. Really made me appreciate this place more. Fantastic. I would go back if I lived closer, but we are not making as many trips to SF lately :( read more

I purchased a Gilt City deal for a brazilian (my first!) with Naomi because of the superb reviews here and am about to book my second along with a facial. Naomi is sweet and has a nurturing personality which made my first experience... dare I say, enjoyable? I used a Bloomspot deal for a Brazilian wax, and Laura did a great job. It was very quick but still thorough, and she asked how I wanted it and followed my comments perfectly. She's very comfortable to talk to and the conversation was a great distraction from the pain (there is no such thing as a painless Brazilian)! It's the exact experience I wanted -- straightforward, comfortable, and professional. The 22nd Street Caltrain station is about 2 blocks away, although the walk is along a quieter (mostly warehouses) street. read more

I had the best experience at Nomi Day Spa! I have problematic skin with lots of hyperpigmentation and clogged pores. I am always on the lookout for a great esthetician and I definitely found the one :) Naomi is very intuitive, gentle, fun to chat with, and frankly, the results were like no other facial I've had. I didn't leave looking red-faced or splotchy like I always do after extractions and a peel. My skin was glowing and after a few days of very light peeling, my skin looked dramatically more even-toned and smooth. She even texted the next day to see how I was doing. I also purchased a couple of Rhonda Allison products while I was there that I absolutely love! Naomi didn't push the products on me at all. In fact, I was the one that kept asking about them. She helped me choose the right two products and I've seen a huge difference in my skin since using them. I would give six stars if I could. Great experience overall and I will certainly be coming back! read more

I've been coming to Nomi Day Spa every month for facial for about two years. I can't be happier with the transformation of my skin under the hands of the owner Naomi. Two years ago my skin was in a very bad condition with persistent and recurring acnes on my cheeks, chin and forehead. They were the kind of acnes that were large, red, hard and persistent. While the old ones were still there, the new ones were popping out. I tried many topical treatments. Some of them helped temporarily but acnes always came back. I used to wear thick BB cream to cover up so my face looked less horrible. When I stumbled upon Nomi Day Spa on Yelp, I wasn't expecting much. I decided to give it try primarily because it was very close to where I live and the owner Naomi accommodated my schedule. Looking back I'm so glad that I took her suggestion and have been getting facial every month where she focused on cleaning, extraction & exfoliation. My acnes have gradually cleared up. After roughly a year, my persistent acnes disappeared and have never come back since. I'm still getting my monthly facial from Naomi to maintain the cleanliness of my skin. Over time my complexion has improved drastically. When I had acnes my skin was rather dull. Nowadays it's clear, dewing and glowing. If you are bothered by skin problems such as acnes and dullness, Naomi is the person who has the expertise to help you get visible results. read more

Naomi is a delight! Her Potrero Spa is always smells delicious and is prefectly warm and inviting. She has the gift of making her clients feel like they are the most important event of her day. I discovered Nomi Day Spa through the yelp deal for two waxing sessions and had a great experience with Laura. She was great! Very professional yet friendly and she helped make me comfortable for the sessions. I would definitely go back! read more

I started seeing Naomi after buying a groupon and really enjoyed my experience. She is super professional and personable, I felt comfortable dropping trou within minutes of meeting her lol. After I used up the 3 groupons deal, I continued to see Naomi at full price for my bikini and leg waxes and actually looked forward to our meetings. The spa smells great and feels super relaxing. She had me in and out of there within 15 mins but I never felt rushed. Just really speedy and efficient waxing! Thanks Naomi!! read more

Naomi is awesome. I think it's impossible to say that waxing is painless, but Naomi is quick and gets the job done with as little pain as possible. She's also fun to talk to, which makes going to get waxed a pleasant experience. I haven't tried her facials yet, but I hear they are great. read more

I have been going to Nomi's for almost 3 years. My skin has been glowing the whole time so I guess I owe Naomi a rave review. I had an amazing aesthetician in Seattle where I previously lived and I have to admit I was worried that I would find the same here for a reasonable price. I found that easily in Naomi. Naomi is incredibly nice, very relaxed and easy to talk to. I usually like to zone out when getting any sort of spa treatment, but I always talk to Naomi during my facial. However, if you want to zone out, Naomi is very intuitive and will let you be without any chit chat. I go about every 6 weeks for a facial and eyebrow wax. No matter what type of skin you have (I have referred a lot of friends here) you will be well taken care of and your skin will thank you. It's a relaxing, enjoyable experience and incredibly reasonable compared to the brand name spa's. If you're considering needing a facial, don't walk...run to Nomi. I know some people might be weary about the location (for me it's a plus b/c I live in Potrero) but it's completely safe and parking is a snap. Bonus: Nomi is open from 9AM-9PM Thursday to Saturday. This is great for me because I don't have to take time off from work or compete for the coveted Saturday morning appointments. read more

I've been going to Nomi day spa for many years now and I wouldn't go anywhere else. Her space is intimate, her services are personal and thorough and I always leave feeling beautiful and relaxed. I require deep cleaning facials and I love being pampered. Naomi is very thorough in cleaning my pores. She gets my skin clean and clear to the point that I'm always asked after my service where I go to get my facials; and her massages around the neck, shoulders and face relax me the point of bliss. In terms of my brazilians they're painless. Naomi uses a hard wax and it's over in no time. She always takes her time to examine the area thoroughly to make sure everything is even and clean. After previous waxes at other places that were uneven, I really appreciate the level of detail. While I wish she was open more days a week she stays open quite late which works well since I tend to get out of work later in the evenings. read more

Nomi Day Spa is awesome! I have had a few facials there, as well as some waxing. The facials feel incredibly relaxing and decadent. Naomi does a fabulous job at putting you at ease. And she whipped my unruly eyebrows into shape. They looked great, without me having to explain that I didn't want them too thin. I was thrilled when I saw on her website that she does wedding makeup. I don't wear makeup ever, and was so happy to have someone I trusted do my makeup for me. She made me look beautiful, but natural, and I couldn't have been happier with the way my makeup looked. read more
