I came by today for my first facial ever! I't's been something I've wanted to do for a while now and finally bit the bullet. It's on my bucket list item before I turn 30. The world of skincare can feel so daunting but I felt safe in Sally's hands. She is super professional and walked me through what the experience would be like. She explained the procedure in detail and didn't dumb down the ingredients or science which I appreciate as a lab scientist. I want to know the deets. Also make sure to come a bit early if it's your first time because there is a form to fill out that includes info about your skin, skincare, and derm visits. I wrote what I thought were my skin issues but during the facial Sally went over some things she was noticing that I hadn't thought of. Each facial is catered towards individual needs so it is personalized! Isn't that awesome? She will apply a series of products and prep the skin, do extractions, and might use the o2 machine if needed. She also spends time massaging your neck shoulder and arms. It's a relaxing experience but also beneficial to your face. Sally went over the products I was using and suggested some she thought might be better. I found this to be helpful because I feel so lost in the world of skincare, I'm not an expert and she clearly is! I did not feel pressured to buy anything but after all that work I would prefer to not have wasted efforts so I opted in. The space is in a convenient location in the panhandle. The natural products she massaged into my skin with her magical stones smelled of aromatherapy and healing goodness. I don't know if I fell asleep but I was in and out of deep hypnosis. Rather than doing a one off appointment right before the wedding, I decided to see Sally every 6 weeks until the wedding, and she did wonders for my skin. My skin was glowing for the big day, and I felt confident! Tip: If you are considering getting a facial before your wedding or any other big occasion, I would highly recommend going a few times. Sally spent time learning about my skin and there were no surprise reactions right before the big day. After the wedding and up until the pandemic, I continued to see Sally every other month and loved how clean and healthy my skin felt. Each appointment is incredibly relaxing. Unlike other facials I have gone to where it felt like I was getting a glorified face mask, Sally is an expert at exfoliation and extractions. Since Sally has reopened, she has taken all Covid precautions. The space feels incredibly safe and clean. When I arrived, Sally was super welcoming as I filled out a questionnaire about my skin and also answered some COVID-related questions. Then we went into a smaller room in the back where I got my facial. Sally thoroughly went through the answers I put on the questionnaire, and she was so knowledgeable about the acne medications I am currently on. She knew more than my dermatologist, it seemed! I gained a lot of information and feel better about how to move forward with my skin. Studio Soothe has been my favorite place to get a massage since I discovered them 5 years ago. Every massage, no matter who is giving it, is absolutely fantastic. When I found that they were taking appointments again, I jumped at the chance to get a massage. I'll start by saying that Studio Soothe took all the COVID related precautions necessary to make me feel safe. It started with a temperature check when I arrived, questionnaire about my symptoms and exposure history, and then when inside the massage room, I was asked to wear a mask while the massage was being performed (along with the masseuse). All the while the massage was happening, a fan was circulating the air around. This time, my masseuse was Buffie. In her expert hands, all the stress that had accumulated over the last 6 months seemed to melt away like butter in the 90 mins I was on the table. I have always appreciated that massages at Studio Soothe are at the same time restorative, relaxing, and corrective. I love deep massages, and Buffie was able to get all my crazy knots out while still being gentle. I am grateful that I was able to escape for just a little bit and leave feeling completely restored. I came here a few months ago and didn't enjoy my facial, but it was my first one so I didn't know what to expect. After visiting a different spa to get a facial today, I now have a basis for comparison and insight into why I didn't like my experience here. 1. During extractions, the esthetician only did half the job. She said she'd do the other half "next time I came back". I thought this was weird, but assumed at the time this was because my skin was difficult to extract. Not so, as my esthetician today did them all with no problem 2. My esthetician here told me "you have great skin, so you should probably come back once every 3-4 weeks". I have now been told that standard is 6-8 weeks. I can't even begin to imagine how rich you'd have to be if you didn't have great skin 3. Constant product pushing: every single step came with a product name and a rave review without me asking for it. I understand that it's part of their job to sell the products, but this was too much 4. I came in letting the esthetician know that I needed to exfoliate and asked her for additional recommendations on what I could do for my skin. She kept repeating that "exfoliation is key", which I knew and was already adding in to my routine. Was hoping for additional information considering this is her domain of expertise. 5. No special tools used: everything used here I had the tools to do at home (yes, I do have a facial steamer) I didn't have Sally, who everyone on here raves about, so that might've made a difference. read more

Take 2 at Soothe this time with Gayle for a pre-wedding massage and facial, a treat to myself before the wedding. To be honest I love massages and rarely get facials because normally while the skin looks good after, it never lasts and I'm not sure about the long-term benefits but massages I love!!! Gayle was amazing, she did deep tissue but somehow it wasn't painful at all and when she stretched me my back definitely made a few cracks to snap back into place as it should be. She loosened up the muscles and heated them up enough for my back to do the rest by itself which is how it should be. I always get tension in my neck and shoulders and most masseuses like to apply a lot of pressure and pain and it hurts after but not always with beneficial results. This massage was different and so relaxing. The facial was fun too, although I admit I love the glowing results more than the actual process. But everything was smooth, nice, nothing was uncomfortable, even the extraction was gentle where's some places seem to torture you. I am a believer that skin is fragile and should be take care of not abused. I would absolutely come back for this treatment, 2 hours of pampering with great results to both body, mind and face. My skin looks radiant and clean now and my fine lines around my forehead, mouth, and eyes (I'm 50) have significantly softened. Studio Soothe SAVED MY SKIN. I have battled adult hormonal acne for the past few years. I never had acne growing up, and I didn't know how to treat it. I found Sally out of pure coincidence. I was driving with a friend to Tahoe, and she found the great reviews for this neighborhood spot. I tried Sally out, and years later I have become a diehard customer. I can't recommend Sally enough. I generally see Sally every 6 to 8 weeks, and originally she helped me with the quality of my skin. I was using dermatologist-recommended items and my skin was drying out and feeling awful. After a year of seeing her (the acne was consistently under control at this point), I had a big flare-up. I went to my dermatologist again (it was really bad out of nowhere, and I was confused at what was happening). The dermatologist told me I should try Accutane, which seemed pretty abrupt. It's such a heavy medication with serious side effects, and I didn't feel like the 15-minute appointment was enough to determine that this was the right treatment. I decided to ask Sally if she could fix me (again) before jumping into taking pills. This was the BEST decision I could have made! Sally spent extra time diagnosing my behaviors to understand where the flare-ups were coming from. She helped me change my habits (washing sweat off my face right after a work out), my detergent, make up, etc. She let me text her with questions anytime, and I made the switch to her line of products (she never pushes these on you at all, but they are truly great quality and very reasonably priced). I saw her once a month for a few months and my skin is completely clear. It's truly never looked better. I'm not a big Yelp reviewer, but I have to say that Sally changed my life. I was so embarrassed by my face, and now I feel confident and beautiful without make up. I love Sally dearly. She is such a kind soul, and she really knows her stuff. The place is super small but when you're in the room it doesn't matter because it's so relaxing! I bought massages for my girlfriend and I as a "couple's massage" for an early 4th anniversary gift back in July. She had the Soothe Signature Facial with Dana and I had the Men's Signature Facial with Sally. We booked too late to get the same time slot, so my appointment started 30 minutes after her's. We arrived about 10 minutes before her appointment and filled out a questionnaire. There was tea available and the chairs in the waiting area were so comfortable that I took a nap. I've never done anything with my skin, so it was my first time doing something like a facial. Sally was amazing. The facial and massage were so relaxing that I felt like I was falling asleep. Yet, I couldn't fall asleep because it was so calming and I wanted to experience more. It was unlike anything I've felt before. The part I loved the most was the extractions. Most of them felt ticklish, a couple felt like pinches, but they all felt great coming out of my skin. My girlfriend also thoroughly enjoyed her facial with Dana as well.
