The customer service here is beyond immaculate. I feel bad because I can't remember the owner's name, especially considering how often I've been in there, but he is always extremely pleasant, friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Every single time I walk into the shop, it's just good energy. Whenever I'm looking for a specific cigar, I always try Nomad first because I really like supporting this shop. They typically have everything I'm looking for, and on the occasions when they don't, the owner has even offered to order it for me. That kind of customer service goes a long way. The owner is also just a good person to talk to. Friendly, approachable, knowledgeable about his products, and always willing to help you find what you're looking for. You never feel rushed or like you're just another customer coming through the door. Another thing I really enjoy about the location is that there's a hookah lounge right next door. There have been quite a few times where my lady and I have stopped into Nomad, grabbed our cigars, and then went next door to smoke, have a couple cocktails, and just enjoy the evening. It makes for a really nice, relaxed H Street vibe. I personally go to Nomad specifically for cigars, but they carry a variety of smoke products as well. If you're in the H Street Corridor and looking for a solid cigar or smoke shop with excellent customer service and genuinely good people, I definitely recommend checking them out. I was so surprised because the owner was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and helpful in finding my products. I couldn't find anything like it within 50 miles, which was quite a surprise. Plus, he answers the phone and will answer any questions you have, no matter how detailed or vague. Even though there were other negative reviews, and I don't want to downplay what happened to the person who was soliciting, the store has a sign that says no soliciting. Even though it was really bad, I brought it up with the owner, and he was very humble, apologized, and said he was being rude and having a bad day. He admitted he was in the wrong. It's very rare to find someone who is willing to admit their mistake and take responsibility for it. It's refreshing. They also have a nice selection of snacks and drinks, as well as water pipes and other glassware. Support this awesome local business! Excellent value as well.

I'm from NC but, I've visited DC countless times over the years and I have walked past GT plenty of times. On this trip to DC my wife and I were strictly shopping and relaxing so what better way to relax than to pick up a couple of cigars. I'm so glad we stopped in I was first being helped by a young man who did a wonderful job. After asking a couple of questions Teresa stepped in to give me a personal concierge experience that was outstanding she made recommendations and answered any questions I had. We shared some laughs and talked about the history of Georgetown Tobacco, I picked up some really good sticks that I can't wait to try out. I was partly disappointed due to not carrying the cigar I was looking for (La Flor Dominicana Andalusian Bull) and there is no smoking allowed in the shop. There isn't a walk in humidor but several display cases of stogies throughout the place. A wide variety of pipes, magazines, accessories and tobacco products available. The service was good, prices are competitive and the place is well kept but the landlord needs to allow a smoke in a cigar lounge.
