TLDR:
Nolasco lied in our presence about 9 times. He's combative when asked to fix his screw ups. Work is poor. Work ethic is poor. Accountability is near non-existent. No recourse for screw ups, unless there's some external pressure that puts his future money at stake. He is the hit & run type of subhuman.
Detailed:
Job: install shower glass & door. Said 'it's gonna be beautiful, you gonna be happy, you not gonna have any problems...' (lies 1, 2, & 3)
Wife asked him to make sure everything was siliconed & sealed. He reassured her don't worry, I'll get everything (lie 4). He left many areas untouched.
Job end: shower door crooked & didn't close properly (kept popping open slightly near top). Water leaking in 3 areas (no silicon), holes in tile were patched w/clear silicon.
Also, left a sharp sloppily cut plastic track sticking up at the top.
Day1 texted him requesting he come fix issues. He acknowledged. Asked when, no response.
Day2 Phoned (calmly) explaining what is wrong. Was not mad at this point. His reaction was argue, raise voice, babble saying he is not careless, they are very careful, & the tile was crooked. No mention of this when I was there the entire time they worked.
(Door compensation to some degree but not enough, result of compensation without planning is that top not level horiz'l. Should have raised the door slightly to make it level. When he was finished ranting, I said look, I'll send you a video & you can see.
At end of the phone call he agreed he would send a guy the upcoming Saturday
Day3 sent video evidence of problems
Day6 asked if he saw the video
No response
Day7 no one from his company showed up (lie 5)
Day9 stated that no one showed. No response.
Additional leak from shower door. Water pouring onto the floor
Due to holidays, waited until after his vacation.
Day18 called left msg on his voiceml asking again for him to fix issues. Described again 3 leaks & requested fix for gap between the door & panel.
No return call.
Day21 Called asking for him to come fix the issues. No answer. Wife calls & he picks up (as he thinks this is new work). He acts nice, says ok, will call Friday & come Saturday
Day23 He doesn't call & doesn't show (lie 6) (2nd time no show)
Day24 Plastic seal between door & wall falls off door. He should not have glued the plastic to the door to begin w/(in between door & wall) as it gets repeated tight pressure & wear from door opening on it.
Day27 The orig Contractor asked for a positive review of his business. Describd Neftali's conduct. Orig contractor told him, this isn't how you treat customers. The same day, he texts & calls.
He had two Saturdays to come, lied to us, didn't show 2 times. Now have to take time off work for this sub-human.
Day28 While there, asks wife what is going on (even though he's been told 3 times of the issues & video)
Wife begins to explain. He interrupts "I know I know I know exactly what's going on."
She let him go to work
The other contractor showed by request (the one we trusted based on his reputation, upon which this sub-human relied for referrals).
He fixed some things & it appeared he did things properly, which is what he should have done to begin with.
He lied repeatedly to cover his ass (in front of the other contractor): I didn't come because I was on vacation (lie 7). This didn't explain away why one of his guys didn't show 1st time and why he didn't show 2nd time when he was back from vacation.
He lied & said to the other contractor, the silicon must have developed bubbles that's why it leaked (lie 8). No, he didn't silicon it at all.
Argued when asked to silicon areas (prevsly reqstd). I said, do you want to explain to my wife why you won't do? He conceded.
Before leaving, said call me any time, if you have any problems, let me know I'll come right away. (lie 9)
After he left, found he still hadn't siliconed some areas outside. Did myself. The next day, the shower still leaked. Siliconed myself. I also went over the entire thing again, siliconed areas that were thin.
Discovered that he left some holes w/clear silicon as a patch rather than white. He had fixed 2 of them, but left the other 2 w/clear silicon. Did these myself. read more
