I had lived at the NoHo Gallery Apts. for the past 10 months. My only complaint is that it was difficult to keep our unit clean, but that was only from upgrades to the apartment building, so we gave them a pass. Aside from that, let me compliment and not criticize. Let's begin with the office staff. Amazing, simply amazing. We NEVER had one ounce of a complaint about the staff. From Jack to Amber to Michael to Rafael and including Alex, Lourdes, and Sylvia, they represent what the NoHo Gallery is trying to put out there. I have NEVER been spoken to, treated, or otherwise had a negative experience with the office staff. I would bake every Tuesday and bring down some dessert, pies, cookies, cakes, and breads to them. I think sometime the people who are the backbone of a company, are oftentimes blamed for things that they had nothing to do with. In fact, we must all remember that they, too, are representatives of Greystar and, in my opinion, they do an excellent job. Personally, and pursuant to some other reviews I have read, I can't imagine that I was blind to what goes on there. Dog "bag" contents, which it did not end up in a bag, I would have to blame those who have dogs and are unwilling to pick up after them. For that I blame the dog owners. Insofar as the doggie "bags," I only found them empty on the street side of the building and not within the building itself. Every day I would see people walking their dogs on the sidewalk, when they live half a block away and that can't blame on our tenants, because I saw them walk back to their own buildings once their pets were done. There is nothing that can be done, as anyone has the right to walk to walk their dog on a sidewalk. The pool is terrific. I was happy to see families using it and would oftentimes see them go back to their homes in the building. Because they were from another ethnicity, people automatically assumed they didn't live there. If fact, there are numerous people in the building with children. I think one must overlook the smell of weed, as it is legal in the State of California. The only thing I would like to see here, is that those of us who use medicinal marijuana should have the right to take our medication in whatever manner is good for us. Perhaps this rule needs to be changed. The thing is that if we can't use it, we will be back to making the corporate, money steeling, drug companies richer. Personally, I have never seen a transient in the building, but the homeless are growing more and more at the Orange line. Never, in my ten months, did I see homeless people sleeping in the stairwells and I have a new car, which no one stole or broke into. My solution to the problem of break-ins or having people follow people in to the building, I think they needs to have security at both gates checking people in. This would not allow people to body skirt in to the building. The rent, it was high, and we were on a short term rental. It was expensive, however I think one of their past representatives quoted us a price which was almost double when putting it aside with the amount paid by insurance. I don't think that should have been done, as we really needed to stay there, as we had run out of rental monies due because the apartment being paid for by insurance. I think we should have received the going rate. The other residents are terrific. Overall, own experience was way more positive than others and that is why they are getting five starts from us. read more
