Nearly 4 years later and Elisa is still my go-to brow girl! She's great, super sweet, and friendly. I am always amazed when she gets my brows looking nearly perfect! I do my lip also- beware, if you've never done it before... it HURTS! Not Elisa's fault. Also, they usually have Whisker Wednesday- 50% off your lip service. She did exactly what I asked and did it quickly and how I wanted it. I've had issues at other salons that do what they think I should get, but I was treated with consideration and I'm very happy. Finding the place took a moment, as the signs in the area aren't the best; it's tucked away in the business complex and does have a sign beneath it, but the GPS information was a little misleading. Didn't take a map and compass; did take a moment to drive around in a tight parking lot. The shop was clean with plenty of seating in the waiting area. The receptionist was kind, service was quick, and there was an obvious professionalism they are shooting for. They accept both walk-ins and appointments. I only waited about ten minutes to be seen as a walk-in on a Friday around lunch time. My four star rating comes from a slight dissatisfaction with my service. I came in for threading on the eyebrows as I'm very familiar with this way of beautification. I've had women from India help me with this before, and I love the lines and symmetry you can get. I won't name my specific beautician as this is a public review. What I can say is that SHE left parts of my eyebrows still on my face that were way outside the brow line. I have rather large eyebrows, and trimming them is necessary. The issue was on parts of my eyebrows to the outside lower corners were still present after I left and saw my face under a better light. I had to remove these myself at home. For $12..? I expect better. I've had this done in other places for cheaper with more precision and accuracy, and that's what I expected here. Other than this, I enjoyed my experience and will likely return. read more

The lady did a good job on my brows. However, when I walked in there were 3 females at the counter and two were conversing about their personal lives very loudly. They couldn't even stay quiet while a customer was getting checked in. It seemed very rude. I came to try out this place because the great Yelp rating! I'm not from the area. Everyone was waiting for 1 specific person, I'm guessing she's the owner and the best one @ her job! I didn't want to wait and tried what I had hoped was second best! It was disappointing! She rushed through the threading process! I'm not really a hairy person and if I do they're very fine and blonde--- hard to see if you're not focused! She was too busy chopping it up with the other worker than focusing on her task at hand! The girl who assisted me (Amerise, I believe) did a wonderful job....and I am very picky. She was also friendly, which is a plus. This place is fast and painful!! I have had threading before, and this was so much more painful. I think they use cheap string?? Also, their technique is so harsh! and I do not have sensitive skin, but I was red for about an hour after i left. I didn't want to risk my eyebrows, so after my lip was done, I rushed out! Also, my threader was a TRAINING, forgot her name since she didn't introduce herself- very unproffesional. She even left spots of hair, and it was not pleasant. She cleaned them and added a slight arch which for me I never know what to do exactly to my eye brows was a bonus because they still have a natural look to them! Price is reasonable. I go here on a regular basis and I enjoy Karlena always threading my brows. Sometimes there is a wait but never longer than 15-20 mins, but if you make an appt your wait time is cut in half. Overall one of the only places to get threaded in Yuma and worth going! read more

Since Carlena was fired it's honestly not the same, I've tried going back several times and always leave unhappy or just okay. There is other places in town you can go now for much better work. If you do go to Nohemis just be careful w who you allow to touch your eyebrows. I recommend only going when the owner is there or w Bianca, or Elisa. My family & I will not be back. Many people walked out because she was taking so long and when it was finally my turn after an hour of waiting listening to terrible reggae music, when I usually wait 5 minutes, she said she was taking her appointment who had literally just arrived.
