Brisket poutine - The (undrenched) fries were crunchy and well seasoned. Wished we ordered regular fries instead - The beef gravy was runny and flavorless. All it did was sogged up the best part. They were also pretty stingy in portioning the brisket and cheese curds. Brisket I understand but cheese curds too? In addition, the brisket reminded me more of beef jerky - chewy and dry. Pulled pork classic - $2 dollar more than competing trucks but was served with fries. The sandwich was underdressed. The pulled pork was overcooked and tough. The bun was not toasted. Not the worst sandwich but there are just so many better options around! Overall - Urban BBQ is the prime example why I usually frown upon getting foods from food trucks - Overpriced, small portion, mediocre foods.

It's located across from the former KC Tea & Noodles, on the corner of Goodman and Monroe. Since it's a straight shot path between East & Alexander and my apartment, it's a convenient spot for me to grab some food before passing out at home. Mr. V's has a variety of offerings, ranging from hotdogs, sausages, burgers to chicken and pulled pork sandwiches. My go-to is the Italian sausage all dressed with red peppers and Rochester's meat "hot sauce." That will soak up the alcohol! Everything i've tried so far tastes delicious. But please keep in mind that this is at 2AM after a few drinks. I've truthfully never been completely sober while standing in line for Mr. V's. Sometimes it comes down to Pita Pit vs. Mr. V's and oftentimes, Mr. V's wins.

As many of you probably know by now, mac and cheese is my all time favourite. I saw that they had it as a side dish for $2 so had to try it. I wasn't really feeling a sandwich (though the pulled pork looked really good), so I opted for the pulled pork nachos. They nachos were $8 and a pop was $1. When I ordered, the guy who took my order said "why don't we make it a combo" and only charged me $10. I love when places do that! Anyway, the nachos were perfectly cheesy, and were topped with sour cream and pico de gallo (one of my fave things in the world). It was fresh and home made. The absolute best was the pulled pork. It was so deliciously juicy and was coated with a tangy BBQ sauce - not too saucy though! I would get this again for sure. The mac and cheese was just as good. They use the spiral noodles which are always fun. It's not too too cheesy, but has some good herbs and spices that make up for it. It has a bit of a kick too. Just a slight bit of heat. I would have liked a bit more, but I'm not going to lie, with the mac and cheese and nachos I was stuffed and had to bring some more. And yes, it was just as good heated up later. I've been in Hamilton for work this past week too and have walked by Jackson Square everyday hoping the food truck would be there.
