I am writing this review after two weeks of receiving the best gel manicures I have ever had. My nails are still in perfect shape with no chips or peeling. Spontaneously walking in after grocery shopping on a rainy day to get a mani was the best decision. I had a great experience! Needed a quick walk-in spot and they accommodated easily. The pedicure was great (although I'm a little bummed they don't have massage chairs). I got a pedicure with scrubs, hot towels, wax on the feet, and hot stones. My gel manicure turned out great and a nice surprise was a quick back massage afterwards, which made up for no chair massage :) a little on the pricey side but worth it! I will no longer recommend Noble Nails under the new Management! I have been a good customer for many years, I was mistreated two days before my wedding! I asked for a simple ombre style manicure with little rhinestones. I texted photos of the design 2 weeks before my appointment. They said, "no problem, I will be taken care of". After 3 hours of disastrous workmanship and 100$ I walked out almost crying with ugly pink nails and huge rhinestones on the ring finger. Thank you, God, my friend is working at nails salon in DT Willow Glen, called "Nail Elegance". The Owner of Nail Elegance completely redid my nails and repainted my toenails! I will NOT be coming back to Noble Nails! The new Manager only cares about quantity and money, not quality and beauty! She has no sense of style! read more

Pic below is how my nails looked AFTER they finished a simple fill. They offer chrome polish, it came out lumpy and buckled and she insisted it was fine, yet proceeded to drill it off and paint it back on 3 times which left my hands bloody. Went to another salon where they know how to use polish and don't drill through your natural nail. The thing that made it worse for me is the fact the owner kept insisting I come back for free fake nails after ruining my natural ones. She texted my cell phone after I left. Insane. read more

NIGHTMARE MANICURE!!! I tried this salon for the first time today since it's close to my house. Came in and was greeted in a friendly way although not offered water. Had no polish on so thought I was just there for a quick gel mani like normal- usually a 45 min-1hr process max. I asked for a dark color and the woman doing my nails kept putting on too much polish instead of just putting less on but with multiple coats. As a result she just kept dripping it into my nail bed and soaking it into the cuticle skin around my fingers, and she painfully scraped my nails several times each side with her fingernail as she painted each coat. She also weirdly kept doing only one finger at a time and having me dry each finger in the light. About 1.5 coats in she looks up and tells me "this looks really bad" and apologizes. I agree and she then has to take off all the polish and start completely over, which was difficult since it was just put on and it really didn't want to come off after being freshly cured (she soaked and scraped at it for 30 mins). But because she let so much polish soak in to my nail bed and cuticles she basically had to gave me another manicure and scraped and trimmed away a lot of my color-soaked cuticles so now I'm left with really sore fingers. I was there for 3 HOURS and now I'm leaving with a sore back from their hard chairs, a color I didn't want, and hands in pain. It is really hard to screw up a basic manicure but this ended up being the worst manicure of my life. The place also didn't look that clean and it really wasn't a pleasant experience. I will say that the nail tech was polite and nice and suggested herself to start over and fix it, so that is a positive. But as a new customer (they asked me specifically at the end of the mani if I was new) that also might have been a situation where a discount or free mani was offered as a show of good will. This is my go to pedicure place. I live in San Jose and it's definitely worth the drive. I've been coming here for about 5 years now. They always do a wonderful job and they are very detailed oriented. It's a little pricey for a deluxe pedicure but the service is worth it. I always get the deluxe pedicure and it includes parafin wax and hot stone massage amongst other things. I like to go early Saturday mornings as there usually isn't a lot of people then. Everyone is super friendly and the complimentary water and snacks are a nice thoughtful gesture. read more

I gave this place another chance because I was due for a pedicure and their deluxe organic pedicure caught my eye. They have some nontoxic nail polishes and organic foot lotion/bath, but that's pretty much the extent of natural products they use. Doesn't using regular top and base coat defeat the purpose of nontoxic polish? The pedicure was average, just had some added perks like a paraffin wrap and massage. The massage was mediocre though; I feel like they still went very hard on my cuticles, but very light for the massage so it wasn't very enjoyable. I used to come here all the time years ago and I hadn't been back since I moved. Now that I moved back I thought I would try it. In the beginning everything was fine but the lady that did my nails never asked me a shape and completely filed them all the way down when I didn't want that. Then I had asked for a eyebrow wax and they said yes but then I just stood there waiting for 15 minutes. Finally I ask someone and they said that they were all busy now. I feel like this place does not get enough credit. I used to come here all the time because it's located across the street from my house. My grandma used to come here, my mom used to come here and my aunts used to come here. I stopped coming here because I go to school in San Jose and usually have only a hour before work so I just get my nails done down there. Also I was under the impression that it closes at six, it actually closes at 7:30. Last night I went in, I already knew I was going to get amazing service and that I would leave satisfied. I called at 7 and asked to come in, mind you they closed in 30 minutes. I thought like every other place they would say they were closing but no they happily told me to come in. When I arrived I was greeted, asked if I wanted a pedicure when I said no they were so nice about it which is rare. I got a full set and they brought me a cold water ( they have sodas also, and spiced nuts - amazing) Vi did my nails, she is one of my favorites and she is so nice and even recommended a color to me that I got. I love how she shapes and she really worked fast but not to fast and even made conversation with me. For me , service is everything! My nails came out amazing ( I will post a pic) Also a shout out to YEN. She is the sweetest not sure her role there at noble but I know she made my time there amazing. She made sure to get to know me before I left asking my name and told me if I broke any nails come back and they would be happy to fix! I was so happy!! She also had a square on her phone for my credit card she told me that if I ever forgot my card to call her and she would run it from her phone so I didn't have to bring my card. I was skeptical to come here because of the ratings, but overall I'm very pleased. My coworker recommended this place. Called in the morning to book two apts at 4:30. Came and got greeted right away and sat down. I waited about 10mins for the lady to start on mine. Not a problem since i was still picking a color. They offered me water and snack. I think the person i got was lisa. She took awhile shaping my nails and making sure the length and shape was the same. Didn't cut or push my cuticle. Right when she was about to paint my nails, the color was off and she mentioned it and we switched to a different one. Coats are even. Only thing prob is at the edge of the tip wasn't painted. $50 a little pricey, but hopefully they will last. Love the color, shape, and length. Gave a hand to arm massage which was nice. They dont accept cards, only cash. They do have an atm machine though. read more

Got gel nails done and I absolutely love it. The nail technicians was very professional and patient. She help me try a few polish until we found the color that I was satisfied with. They really were not upfront about the cost. They told me there were three types of pedis, all same cost, but when I looked at the menu, there were more than 3 types. I either did not have the page with the cheaper ($30) deluxe pedi in my menu or they pressured me to pick before I got to that page, but my friend found it. She requested it and stated several times that that was what she wanted. They seemed to indicate that she would get the cheaper one, but at the end, told her that her pedi was $50. I did not think that the guava tropical (too cloyingly sweet) special was worth it, though I liked the hot rocks. Even $30 is more expensive than most pedis. During the trimming, she did nip or poke me twice, which I don't expect for a $50 pedi. We'll see how long the pedi lasts. Bottom line: OK pedi, though overpriced and dishonest pricing. read more

Don't usually like to leave bad reviews but you should know what you're getting yourself into. Should call this place "Five dollars more" because that's all you hear. I got the $30 deluxe pedi plus regular mani ($10). Did I want some dead skin trimmed from my big toe? Five dollars more. Since when is that not included for $30? Everyone in my party was given a chocolate except me. Boo. Plus they DO NOT HAVE MASSAGE CHAIRS which is worth half the cost by itself, I think. My lady was sloppy and apathetic. She put most of her "massage" muscle into my shin bones. My nails were done with big swaths of unpainted sections on the sides and base, even after I asked her to fix one nail that had barely half painted. It was evident that the women working there were arguing and mocking one another throughout the treatments. I can tolerate that if the pedi is good. It wasn't. The biggest issue: they asked my husband if he wanted his heels buffed for the dead skin. He said sure. At the end, his $30 'deluxe' pedi became $60. Whatever you do, if you come here, be clear about what you want. Do not settle and do not be swayed. Or just find somewhere better. read more

I called prior to my visit to find out how much they charge for a pedicure. Gal on the phone says $25.00. There was no water or cookies waiting for me when I walked in and in fact it was basically empty. Gal never told me about the massage chair, I figured it out when she went to retrieve the hot stones. She was not friendly at all and actually seemed quite bored. The pedicure was mediocre at best, bumpy and not smooth on the nails. So after I have my mediocre pedicure the woman that did my pedicure charges me $26.00. What the heck? Ripping me off because I've not been there before? I even left her a $5.00 tip but I won't be returning because I don't appreciate being ripped off even it's only a dollar. Not the point, they apparently don't have any honor. I have read where where there is another outstanding mani/pedi place just up the street on El Camino. I'll drive a little bit further for outstanding service and an outstanding pedicure. Worst pedicure EVAR!!! I came here back in October for a pedicure with a couple of friends. I had called ahead to make sure that they would be able to take us at the same time, and was told "sure," so we headed over. When we got there, they were only able to take one of us, even though were were told (only 15 minutes before we got there) that they had space for all three of us at the same time. I ended up going first. (Minus 1/2 a star) I'm not familiar with the massage chairs that most places have, and didn't know that the arm on one side usually flips up to make for an easier time getting into the chair. I struggled to wiggle past the girl next to me with my hands full of my purse, jacket, a drink and magazine. I was able to plunk myself (very ungracefully) into the chair. The nail technician didn't even bat an eye. She just watched me suffer. (Minus 1 star) Next, the lady started the water for my foot spa and asks my how the temperature is. It's COLD. There is no hint of warmth and so I told her so. She ignores me. It's extremely unprofessional to all-of-a-sudden not speaking English when a complaint is voiced. (Minus 1 star) My next issue is the fact that the lady scrubbed my legs and feet with an exfoliating scrub. I have very sensitive skin on my legs, and when I asked her not to scrub my legs, she again ignores me. She then proceeds to scrub the heck our of my feet in a way that is not even remotely comfortable, and could only be described as painful. By this time my friends are now sitting on either side of me, watching me grimace and contort myself as far away from this lady as possible. (Minus 1 1/2 stars.) Yes, I should have spoken up and just told the lady to stop what she was doing, but I am a chicken. I don't remember how much this torture cost me, but I do remember that the technician (didn't get her name, sorry,) didn't get a tip. This place has really, really, REALLY gone downhill since I left Mountain View. The pedicure was okay. I still like all the extras they throw in for $20 but; they have watered down the nail polish on one part of my nails it's a dark color, others light, none of the nail polishes had any labels on the bottom of them to know which color you might want to get to match what you have at home, my cuticles were not pushed all the way back, and the folks working there are outright rude now! They spoke only to each other. I had taken my British mother in law here for her first pedicure and she was all "I felt really uncomfortable, it seemed like they were saying mean things about me!" me "ummm....." The woman working on my pedicure wrapped up as quick as possible to go eat in 'n out. I know because they all ate in 'n out at the manicure stations right in front of me. I think eating in 'n out in front of someone else who you have not offered any in 'n out to is possibly the rudest thing on the planet. I had my eyebrows waxed as well and that was a pretty poor job. One brow has an arch and one does not. I recommend skipping this place. read more

Shellac manicure and pedicure were at best mediocre. They're slow and take their sweet time. Not very thorough so you must check their work. Cuticle cut job was bad, I had to ask them to redo it four times. Crooked nail filing job. Just bad. So like I said if you're desperate and find a need to go here, check before they paint. This forced one star (wish I could have given none) is on their customer service as well. I am a fairly brown skinned, caramel complexion mixed female. I happen to speak and understand Vietnamese. And without going into detail on what they said about every client that went into the salon that day, they are way too much chismosas. Talking shit about clients. Let me start off by saying that I rarely ever post any reviews on yelp. If I could give this place a lower rating than one star I would! The experience started off fine, they were able to accommodate me given a short notice by phone to come in for an Acrylic full set and a pedicure, which was appreciate. When i arrived I was immediately pressured into getting other (more expensive) services which I didn't even want. I had to repeat several times to them - No, I don't want pink and whites, I want a full Acrylic set only! Then when I asked for a price on the full set they high-balled me, and told me it was going to be $45 when their sign in the store says $25 and up! The worst part was the actual experience and the after effects of getting my nails done at Noble Nails. The lady who did my nails was rude the entire time, she pulled at me, and ignored me when I would ask for things such as filing down the nails to keep them shorter. She plain and simple didn't care, and frankly I think was mad that I didn't opt to spend more money at their salon. I even opted out of getting a pedicure. Lastly, I usually can take my the nails off pretty easy, but clipping and biting them off, but not with these bad boys. She glued them down so poorly that I'm literally in pain getting them off, and hurting my actual nails. I will never go to this place again. Come here to get my pedicure. Love this place. They got two choices, the basic pedicure or the deluxe pedicure. The basic pedicure, I kid you not is the best and what, its only $20! The best thing about getting your pedicure here is the hot stone massage on your legs and feet. Did I tell you LOVE IT! I've come to Noble Nails for years with friends and family and am always glad to see the ladies who work here. I like that the owner regularly updates the equipment and furniture. Noble Nails never looks worn down even though they have a lot of traffic coming through the store because they have a proactive approach to making their store comfortable and visually pleasing. I enjoy my service but sometimes feel like I've been skimped on a massage on one arm or that my toe polish could have been cleaner around the cuticle, etc. However, when I make a comment to the workers they quickly make a correction and are pleasant about it. My Mom regularly gets designs placed on her big toe and some of her requests have been pretty detailed and they're always able to perform and provide a lovely end product. read more

I really wish there was a no star option. Let me preface this review by stating that I have been a long-time customer of Noble Nails. However, after tonight, I plan on NEVER going back to them. I arrived at 6:30 p.m., an entire hour before they close. The woman who greeted me asked me what I wanted and I told her manicure and pedicure. She said that wouldn't be a problem. Fast forward 10 minutes later and it is a problem and they can only give me a pedicure. I didn't even get a choice! If I had a choice, I would've taken the manicure. I sit down in the chair and the water is FREEZING! Every time I turned on the water to hot, the employee to my left would turn it off, telling me that the water temperature was fine. No, it isn't fine b***, if it was I wouldn't be turning the water back on. During my time in the chair, they kept telling me to come back tomorrow and I kept telling them that I couldn't. I made it very clear that I wasn't coming back the next day to be in the same situation since I couldn't get there any earlier. When I asked to be compensated for my poor experience, they asked me yet again to come back tomorrow because out of the 7 employees, none wanted to stay. When I asked for the manager, the manager told me that she wasn't clear on what I had wanted and that they misunderstood that I couldn't come back. Really? I only had to say it like 15 times.... Not to draw out the story, but I asked for a discount and she rudely said "Sure you pay whatever you want." What really makes me upset over this experience was the fact that I brought my friend because I was raving about how good this place was. Seriously, Noble Nails, take a lesson on customer service and reconsider your business hours. If you are going to be open until 7:30 p.m. you should be prepared to accommodate later guests and manage expectations accordingly. read more

I've been going to Noble Nails since they first took over the donut shop. Unfortunate for the donut shop, but lucky for me! I've always been satisfied with their services. My favorite nail technician is Rosie. I also have my facials done there and Olivia does a great job. My only beef with them is that they don't have a very big selection of OPI polishes. Desperate for a mani-pedi, I walked into this place without an appointment and choose it simply because it was on my way home. It turned out to be the best decision I'd made all day! I was warmly welcomed and immediately seated. I went for the deluxe mani-pedi which included paraffin wax for my hands and feet as well as a nice long massage for all my limbs. I've been going to Noble Nails for over a year, but service has been getting increasingly worse. While they do a fantastic job on shellac and regular manicures, they often overbook. On one of my recent visits, I had to get shellac removed and my manicurist left me with the foil covered acetone tips and disappeared from the salon. I had to ask several other workers to try and find her, and they finally had to go outside to find her. Turns out she went on her break. I don't care who actually does my nails so I'm fine if they switch manicurists on me, but to have one actually go on a break without anybody else realizing is horrible customer service. Also, they will try to sell you extra services, which is no different than any other salons. However, most places I go to will take the hint when you politely decline. What I had appreciated about Noble Nails was that nobody tried to push you into purchasing additional services, but my manicurist ended up charging me for a deluxe manicure when I asked for a basic manicure. I usually get shellac, so there's no fancy bells or whistles, but this manicurist did extra work outside of my requested basic manicure without asking me, then charged me for it. I asked for a basic manicure, so I wasn't aware the additional services were part of a deluxe package. I did end up paying for the service since she performed the work and $10 is not a big deal, but these kind of 'tricks' in trying to charge you more is not the kind of service I like to go back to. read more

I came here on a fluke....I commute from my work in South San Francisco to home in San Jose via 280 in the evenings and on this particular day a few weeks ago, I evaded a horrible commute home. I typically listen to KCBS and I heard that 3 lanes were closed on 280S near Lawrence Expressway. That means my hour commute home is going to turn into 2 or more hours sitting in the car (fuming). I happened to be approaching El Monte and decided to exit and head down Grant Road to El Camino to find a nail spa...I didn't make it to El Camino.. I happened to turn into the Ranch 99 shopping mall and parked my car in a space, but ended up moving my car to another spot to do some shopping at Ranch 99. But when I got out of the car, I saw Noble Nails! I also noticed my original parking spot was right in front of it, but was 30 mins only. I guess it was fate...especially since I had my polish with me. :) Anyways, I asked if they took walk ins and they did. In fact, they directed me to take seat. I was very happy with my $20 pedi. The lady that did my pedi was very friendly. I even liked the massage, including hot stones at all. Not bad for $20! I'll be back for sure!! It's been a couple weeks and my pedi has held up well. I came in just for a manicure ,but they pressure you into getting more done . I also had to keep telling the lady I don't want gel put over my nails because it ruins them. I have deep nail beds and very strong and healthy nails so I don't want to ruin them just to keep the polish on longer . They keep asking you and try to convince you . After saying no 6 times , they finally stop asking. After that they were very rude and being half assed about doing my nails . It wasn't relaxing at all . I decided to get a pedicure with it too which was a little better . What I did like is how clean I felt the salon was kept , seemed very sanitary . Be careful, I don't think they clean their pedicure tubs well enough and my daughter got a weird rash between her toes (like athlete's foot) right after getting the "spa pedicure" at Noble Nails. The staff members are rude, and I am surprised they receive repeat customers. They need to really work on some sort of consistency, and customer service. I had a really good experience here a couple weeks ago and here's why: 1. Manicure lasted 3 weeks without being seriously chipped. 2. They don't charge more for French tips 3. They have those foam slippers that they don't charge more for when you've forgotten slippers. 4. They have remodeled so they have new chairs and things. The reason the nail polish lasts so long is that they do a thinner coat, and than just more of it. I really liked it. The ladies are nice, the price is right and it's in a strip mall that has plenty of restaurants or grocery options for before and after. A great find from a friend of mine. read more

Things I like: - They often make little changes and improvements to stay appealing and competitive with other salons. Today they offered tea drinks from Ocha Tea next door, FOR FREE! An unexpected treat and a smart business move. :) - Good selection of current magazines - Lots of OPI colors - Seems to be kept clean and everything in good condition Tips: - Yes they will try to upsell you but that's to be expected. Know what you want (look at price list) and you can say no nicely and get on with it. - CASH or CHECK only - Might have wifi.
