i initially went to Ryu for a tattoo (a dragonfly-semi colon), & the work itself came out decent,…read morewhich is the only reason i considered returning. but, my second experience trying to book with him again, was completely different and deeply disappointing.
from the moment i reached out, the communication was confusing, slow, & full of unnecessary attitude. when i sent a simple reference photo (which he acknowledged was AI-generated, but said he understood the idea), things shifted. he started getting super defensive, dismissive, & cold. i reminded him that he said he only does bigger tattoos, & i even offered to go elsewhere, to not waste his time on a 5" tattoo, respectfully. that's when his ego COMPLETELY took over.
after i calmly pointing out how unprofessional the interaction had become, he blew up, & claimed i insulted him..... I received angry, profanity-filled messages accusing me of disrespect, when all i did was speak up about how i was being talked too. it was clear the issue wasn't about the tattoo, but about control, & wounded pride.
the part that bothered me most was the uncalled-for insults. i met with curse words, aggression, & belittling behavior.. calling me childish, etc. all because i expected the bare minimum.. professionalism.
he claimed i was trying to WRECK his business, because i mentioned leaving a review about my experience.. no one deserves to feel disrespected, or emotionally drained over a simple tattoo inquiry.
