I am a very meticulous and definitive person. I do not hold back when it comes to conveying a thought across, especially if this thought is permanently going to be on my body. In short, I don't play. So when I was searching for artists to do fine line tattoo work, I found myself insta-stalking HighLine and I'm so happy I ended up going here. From the very beginning I felt communication with HighLine was on point. I worked with Hawa to send inspiration pictures and coordinate my appointment date and time. She was very quick with responses, usually responding same day but no later than 2 business days. I really appreciated that. Booking was a breeze and she answered all questions clearly with confidence. The shop location is prime with tons of places to see and eat all within a few minutes walk. The studio itself is very clean and zen. This place just has good energy! I'm a big fan. Being that I was getting my first tattoos ever, (microbladed eyebrows don't count), I wanted the experience to be a good one. With the artist's work identically matching my vision - strokes, size, placement. I felt that Loko was able to match my energy when it came to all of it. He surpassed my expectations of his attention to detail and just how good he really is. He worked with me for about 5 minutes drawing up renderings of exactly what I wanted. He took his own creative approach and gave me the perfect tattoos. Then we spent a couple minutes debating between sizing and placement. I never once felt pressured or rushed during the process. He has a light hand so you barely feel anything and I appreciated how he has a quiet tattoo gun so the sound isn't blaring in your ear to whole time. If I could give him a 10/10 I would. His work is flawless and he has overall good vibes - a true artist. I would recommend Loko to anyone looking to get their minimalistic fine line tattoos done. The only detouring factor about this place is the price. A $350 minimum no matter how small your request. But, a justifiable reasoning would be for a peace of mind, knowing that your request will be exactly what you want (if not better) and this piece will be on your body for life.
Fantom pierced my nose in April 2022 and it healed and is still intact and I have not had any issues. Beautiful Swarovski with yellow gold. Went to a nice Japanese restaurant after and had some sushi and good cocktails. Convenient location.
Got tatted by Loko, he was extremely clean and professional. Definitely the nicest line work I've seen, 100% recommend coming here!
This is my second tattoo with Dani and she is great as always :) If you're trying to book an appointment with her, make sure you follow her instructions on her instagram description by sending her an email and filling out her inquiry form! Be patient with scheduling because she's a popular one :) 10/10 recommend checking out her instagram @danitattoonyc.
Dani is without a doubt the kindest, most professional, and talented tattoo artist I have ever had the pleasure to meet. She created a tattoo of my dreams, and did so with minimal pain. The price is definitely high, but she creates a piece of art on your body, that is well worth the price. So beyond happy.
If you're looking for a place to get your tattoo look no more! You've found it! Clean lines, good atmosphere and artists that are passionate and amazing! I've been wanting to get the phases of the moon tattooed as my eight tattoo for a while now, but didn't really know exactly how I wanted it to look. I sent 4 different pictures to Garam that I liked and got the most beautiful original art piece in return, unique but at the same time incorporating all of the elements that I wanted! I had an excellent experience, at this super comfortable and spacious space with great music. Now, I'm walking away in love with my tattoo and certain that I won't be letting anyone else tattoo me for a while!
Loko did my tattoo, he killed it. Took the time to draft my lettering up and let me pick my font and edit some of the lettering. I'm sooo glad I found him- definitely making a trip back to NY for my next one.
After months of extensive research, I discovered Dani and Highline tattoo via Instagram. I immediately fell in love with her work and the relaxed vibe of the studio. Once my appointment was set, I went in for a consultation and Dani was incredibly kind, considering I was pretty all over the place with what I wanted. Then on the day of my appointment, Dani was extremely patient and careful when it came to placement and final design of the tattoo. The actual tattoo wasn't that painful and she encouraged me to take as many breaks as I needed. She was impeccably steady with the tattoo machine and gave me the best fine lines and detail. The artists were also very welcoming to my boyfriend who stayed for emotional support the entire time (I know some studios discourage guests). At the end, I felt like every other artist in the studio complimented the work and made me feel very comfortable. I highly recommend Dani, but if you can't get her you'll be in good hands with any artist. Highline Tattoo is a warm and inviting studio with even friendlier employees. Do yourself a favor and make an appointment before it gets too busy. P.S. the music the studio plays is bomb and will keep you so pumped up you'll forget all about the needles in your skin ;-)
I searched through the depths of Instagram to find a tattoo artist that would kill the image I wanted & lucky for me I found Dani. It seemed like every tattoo I fell in love with on the gram, belonged to her so I NEEDED to book in. It was a little difficult because turns out she & I work the same exact schedule but I pretty much stalked her assistant until I got in (Sorry Jess!) I knew pretty much what image, what placement and what size so the email consult was straight forward and jess gave me the price range based on the details I gave- deposit down and I was ready. When I got in to the studio, it was a very comfortable setting & the music was LIT. Dani was super nice and ironed out a few details from the image and printed a few sizes for me to choose from. I expected it to be painful because im told single needles usually are but she was very delicate and told me we can take a break any time. I pulled through and in less than 2 hours, I was done! When I finally saw the piece it was PERFECT! I knew it would be amazing because I've seen her work but she delivered beyond my wildest dreams. The barbie shoe was the one thing I was concerned about because I wanted it to be evident it was a barbie shoe and she nailed it. I'd recommend Dani & highline tattoo a 1000 times over.
My friend who just had her tattoo done at Highline recommended the place to me. We only had Tuesday night available but artist Loko accepted the last-minute appointment. The decor inside was beautiful and modern. My sister and I came very ill-prepared but consultation went very smoothly and Loko was very helpful and patient. As it was my sister's first tattoo, he guided us regarding sizing and helped us finalize our designs. The process itself was my least painful and speedy tattoo experience. Loko is a really talented artist and his attention to detail made the end result amazing! We felt very special when he took pictures of our tattoos after. He thoroughly explained the aftercare too and answered all of our questions. The prices were very affordable, and the experience was a 10/10. I love my tattoo! Thanks, I'll be back soon ~
I made an appointment with Dani on a recommendation and I couldn't be any happier with the end results. I wanted a silhouette of a cat with my cat's name on it. Dani was amazing from start to end. It was her idea to use an actual picture of my cat as the silhouette. Once we picked a picture, she came back with a few ideas, all were so thoughtful. I ended up with something that is so personal and meaningful to me and I couldn't be happier. I wanted my cat with me forever and now I truly will.

Loko did my wrist tat 5 years ago and I was in need of a touch up. I contacted Highline and they were able to quickly get me in. Loko is professional, explained everything very well, and works quickly. The studio is professional, clean, and I appreciated that it was empty with sufficient space. For the girls who love the dainty look, Loko does a phenomenal job. read more

It was such a wonderful experience getting my tatoo with Loko at HighLine Tattoo. He was very patient and made the requested changes to my design. He made sure the placement was exactly where I wanted it-- and had me check my quote multiple times to ensure it was what I wanted it to say! It did not hurt, and was a very relaxing experience. I highly recommend it! read more

I had been looking for a tattoo design for a detailed wave but couldn't find much I like. I sent Dani what I wanted and she worked with me to make it exactly what I imagined. Her detailed work is incredible and definitely check out her instagram @danitattoonyc She is very busy so be sure to follow when she is taking inquiries. Her work is worth the wait. The actually facility is also wonderful. Very clean, spacious and welcoming. Somehow Dani's playlist had some of my favorite music on it which set the whole experience to be a great one. Would recommend both Dani and the location. read more

I got my first tattoo this past year by Loko. I first approached Loko when I had a design in mind. He spent over 45 minutes patiently using his exceptional creativity to work on the design with me. He changed all the little things I wasn't sure about until he finally sat back and showed me his final product. I was in love with the delicate details and what I had in my mind he had captured beautifully. Loko was very attentive and as he worked he made sure I was okay and comfortable. At 6 months, I went to him for a touch up and he was just as careful and attentive as the first time. His work is beyond impeccable. You can see how much he loves what he does and I would go back to him over and over again. read more

I got small, simple tattoo on my finger and I love how it came out to be. Space was very unique and definitely had their own vibe to it. I got my tattoo done by Loko(seriously he's the best) It was my second tattoo I ever got in my life so I was bit nervous but he was constantly talking to me so I can feel comfortable which really helped me alot! And I was really surprised by the preciseness of the lines. Overall, definitely recommend getting your tatoo at highline tatoo:) read more

I got my first tattoo from Highline Tattoo NYC today and I have to say it was the most amazing first experience it could have been. First walking into the store, I was very impressed by the clean & modern ambiance of the interior and it just gives you a sense of a high end store. Loko was super helpful in consulting me with my design as I was not 100% sure about the initial design I brought it. He just upgraded it to another level with more details. Felt no pain at all while getting the tattoo. So satisfied with the final result and no one could've been as good as Loko. Definitely going back for another one! read more
