Do not eat here or the one in Greenwood MS or any with this name period. This is a TEX MEX PLACE stay far far away. They spent so much money to relocate and renovate this old buffet restaurant. Little amount of food, little picthers of margaritas little I mean little as little can get for both cheese dips . Small or large . It's like extra small for the small and small for the large . expensive as heck for little amounts of food. I REPEAT DO NOT EAT AT ANY PLACE THAT HAS THIS NAME. Horrible in both places grenada MS and Greenwood MS. Go to El Cabritto in Winona MS I promise you El Cabritto is worth the 10 minute drive and has the best Portions sizes of food and great Mexican friends and the pitchers are full and the small cheese dip is basically a large. These American young people don't want to even be there at No Way Jose to serve you . At El Cabritto in Winona ms You'll always have to get a take out box cause it's so much food. When I ate at both locations at No Way Jose each "Full Order" looked less than a half order. I promise you the name speaks for itself , No way Jose . No way ever will I go back. Drinks are mediocre, service is mediocre they rush you while your trying to enjoy a pitcher of margaritas and when you get your food they'll bombard you with the check . I promise you El Cabritto will take care of you and it's a real Mexican restaurant. I would give this no stars if I could . read more

Should be called Yes Way Jose. Because this place is the bomb.com. My first three trips I got a little over served on their world famous "no way nada" margaritas. But this time I visited this hidden gem by the lake I just had six margaritas and a speedy Gonzalez, and let me tell ya I had a speedy Gonzalez in my pants shortly after inhaling that bad boy if ya know what I mean. This a a 5 on food! Very authentic Mexican food, done right! They served us chips and a tasty salsa first... yum. I ordered a fajita , which was sizzling hot and delicious. My husband had a burrito and it was very good too. The portions were a very good size , neither of us could not finish ! The staff was very friendly and helpful. Put this restaurant in a new building and they would be a 5 star ! Don't pass it by, it is well worth the stop! Don't forget to get the white cheese dip added! read more

Came in late on a Friday evening with a group of friends. I'm trying to make better decisions so I decided to go with the Salmon plate. Everyone else's food comes out & I sit contently snacking on tortilla chips & salsa for a while. ......At this point everyone else is halfway through their food & Im nervous because it should NOT take that long to cook salmon... literally 20 mins in an oven, tops. When my food finally comes, my salmon is so over cooked i need a knife to cut through it(my fork wouldn't suffice) & my asparagus looks like sad burnt little twigs. Again at this point most others are more than halfway through their meals so I just have my waitress send it back without having them recook it or ordering anything else. No biggie right? Wrong! About 5 minutes late the manager comes out and proceeds to interrogate me on why i sent my meal back! I was so shocked at his blatant aggression and rudeness! After explaining to him why I sent it back , he had the gall to ask me if I were a chef! The lesson I learned yesterday, which by the way is a direct quote from the MANAGER of this establishment, " When you come into a Mexican restaurant, order Mexican food". You're right sir, but you won't have to worry about me ordering from your restaurant again AT ALL. read more

We shared the shrimp taco salad with no sour cream and no shell for a healthy alternative. Try the Mexican Shrimp cocktail which is not on the menu. It is delicious!!!! I always ask for a watermelon margarita and never have found one. It was perfect with salt on the rim. read more

Customer service was terrible! food was ok, this is a true Tex-mix restaurant, watery queso, watery salsa with chips, seen the ONE hostess all over the place even had an oven mitt on for a second severing food. Came in with 10 people told us to wait to be seated but had four different family's come in with 4-5 people and got seated right away never once was afforded if we wanted to seat in different booths. One young lady came in asked for a table of 3 and got seated while her mother parked her vehicle, mother came in asked to see where her daughter was seated hostess says I don't know you are more welcome to look around... like really you don't see who comes into your restaurant. read more

We live in the area, and have eaten here over the years. Food was good to excellent and service was fine, but we haven't been there in a few months. We dropped in for lunch a couple of days ago, and the place had been remodeled, in a rather non Tex-Mex decor. We both ordered the combo plate with one taco, one enchilada and beans and rice. The chips and salsa came, super bland and watery. The lunches came and I don't know what the heck they are using for meat, but it was something ground into oblivion, more of a meat paste! Absolutely no seasoning of any sort, just bland meat paste, no cheese to speak of, some wimpy lettuce, the enchilada sauce was even rather bland, in fact nothing on the plate had any flavor at all! No spices or hot sauce on the table to add flavor of any sort except for a salt shaker of bland non spicy chili powder. The waitress was totally indifferent and had to be called at to get her to return with anything including the check. I don't know what happened here, but it is now a terrible place for Tex-Mex food. My Mother found this restaurant online. It was on our way to Jackson. MS from Memphis, TN. When we got there, we almost did not go in as the surrounding area seemed kind of sketchy to us non-locals. But when we peered in, there were a lot of people there so we ventured in. I am so glad we did. The service was great and we all really enjoyed our food. It was so much; I wish we had not been headed to a hotel as we could have had left overs the next day for dinner. I had burrito locos with steak and red sauce - awesome! I am including a picture (although I had already dug in and eaten over half.) My dad had special chimichangas - great for when you can't decide. He ate all of it and wiped his plate clean. My mother had enchiladas suizas and a Dos Equis....ha ha. She said it was yummy. We also had the SMALL guacamole dip - a great value and more avocado than anything else which is just the way I like it. Don't know when I will be out this way again, but I would certainly go out of my way to go back to No Way Jose! read more

Even though its in Grenada and there are not many choices as for restaurants, No Way Jose is a pleasant surprise. They have the best mexican and also the best american dishes around. I love the Mexican lunch special, especially if you get the burritos. The prices are great and so is the service. It is also a beautiful and clean restaurant. It's Cinco de Mayo! Where do you celebrate if you're not in San Diego? At a GREAT restaurant named "No Way Jose" in Grenada, MS. No fried catfish here! We had the best fajita salad on earth. When you dig in and find warm onions, peppers and chicken, grilled to perfection, you have a party! The owner gave us cool souvenir shirts, which we wore while eating chips with made-to-order guacamole, warm cheese dip, and salsa. YUM! We stopped here on a motorhome trip through all 48 states. This was always my "go to" place in Grenada for Mexican food. They had a good menu which includes more than Mexican if everyone else is in the mood for it and you are not. The food is always hot and they have excellent fajitas and good lunch specials. Its "the mexican" place in Grenada. Truly one of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to and in the middle of Mississippi - go figure! Very clean and nicely decorated - not over the top. I ordered the tamale dinner to go and watched the service staff really take care of the patrons. In speaking with owner while waiting he told me they make their own tamales - shredded pork - and they were OUTSTANDING! The best tamales ever, side of beans were so creamy and lighter than any beans I've ever had in a Mexican restaurant. read more

We are so happy to have Yelp available as we travel. The spot was delicious! We had enchiladas with tender shredded chicken. I had white queso on mine and my husband rice and beans also. Their happy chicken is really good, but last time I ate there I got food poisoning. Their food is priced fair. I like to eat there but if your not used to sweet food don't order happy chicken. If you can stomach sweet food, personally I like to add their cheese dip on it, but don't put to much or the rice gets kinda soggy. read more

Very very bad. I ordered sour cream enchiladas, and they gave me tortillas literally stuffed with sour cream. The No Way Jose Dip was extremely greasy. The steak in the steak fajitas may or may not be real meat. It certainly doesn't look like cuts of beef... My 5 year old didn't like her taco, rice OR beans... and that kid will eat anything. I had the pleasure of eating at the restaurant in Greenwood, MS today and I will never go back again. Number one, my Margarita was awful and when I complained about it, the manager was very nasty to me and told me I still had to pay for it. So, to keep from going to jail, I paid for the drink and cancelled my food order. Number two, my friend girl's food had hair in it! They immediately took her plate & supposedly cooked her food over. When the manager and or owner has a nasty attitude, it's not good at all to patronize that restaurant. So needless to say, I will never spend another dollar at any No Way Hose restaurant! read more
