This was my first time eating at No Way Jose and it was an okay experience. They were having some A/C issues so that made things a tad uncomfortable. Two guests had the Chicken Chimichangas and the other guest had the Tacos al Carbon. The food was pretty decent and the only complaint was the Chile Relleno. It had a red sauce which I'm not accustomed to, and there wasn't much cheese inside. Lastly, the customer service was really good and we received our food quickly. read more

No Way Jose has large portions and flavorful menu items. We were in town for a church event and stayed across the street. We ordered Quesa/chips- Delicious, by the way. Quesadilla, enchilada, burrito and nachos entrees- all were good and served relatively quickly. However, I asked for No onion's, but I got onions. I decided not to send it back, but to pick around. Additional Problems - the restaurant was dirty. It appeared they had not taken the opportunity to sweep/clean between guests. If alone, I would have left because the floor that lead to our table was sticky and had paper on it. My friend had to dry off the wet table- ugh- so unsanitary. Also- There was a group behind us that was way too loud and had no consideration for the other guests in the restaurant. They also used quite a bit of profanity. read more

I was craving some Mexican food and I got food poisoning from the smallest tacos I've ever seen

I order the SAME two things each time I come. Today they put COLD cheese in my fajitas. I told the young man that it doesn't usually come that way. The manager comes and emphatically states that I don't order this entree because it comes that way (which it doesn't). Instead of being professional and offering a solution, he gets an attitude. I said I didn't want it, paid for my drink and left. As my friend and I were leaving, he proceeds to talk about us to his staff. This is atrocious and they will NEVER have to worry me EVER again. Opened in January of 2016, this is Cleveland's newest Mexican restaurant. It's located in west Cleveland off Highway 8. It's in the shopping center where Gibsons used to be long time ago when I was a kid. Security Guards: As soon as I walked in I saw a security guard at the inside entrance to the restaurant. Now, I have been gone from here for 15 years but I don't know why this Mexican restaurant has to have security guards. It was on a Friday night that me and my family visited though. Bar: They do have a great big bar inside. The Friday night that I visited it was very busy but it was 7pm. Now, this might be the reason for the armed security guards. Menu items ordered: 3 Tacos and some cheese sticks for our appetizer. The tacos were ok but needed some more flavor in my opinion. They do have TVs in here but no WiFi for customers at the present stated my waitress. I saw a sign inside that said no smoking. The restaurant played Mexican music the whole time I was here. Parking: there's plenty of parking out front. I even saw some trucks double parked outside taking up two parking places and nobody bothered them. I believe Cleveland now has 4 true Mexican restaurants now including this new one. The one down town is what down town is what I call American Mexican which I don't count. read more

The name says it all.. "want to go there?" No Way!! I've eaten here twice with my husband and that was two times too many! The chips were burnt the first time and stale the second. The rice was so salty that it was not edible and on both occasions and the main dishes were mediocre at best. The staff has gotten our order wrong at each visit. Upon entering noway Jose me and a group of 15 entered the establishment and was met with a blonde haired hostage who volunteered to get us a table in the VIP room. We were told the wait would be 20 minutes by the first blonde haired woman and another blonde haired woman. We agreed to the 20 minutes I put my number down and left but one of the 15 in my group was with child. We waited longer than 20 minutes so I proceeded to go back, when I did I was met with a Caucasian woman with black hair in the front and red hair in the back. She was extremely rude I asked her about the table and she said that it was going to be 40 mins when I previously was told by two other of her associates that it would be 20. So I proceed to say it was cool then left. So when we left I received a phone call about the table. When I did we all gathered to go and upon arrival it was another group and the Caucasian with the black and red hair was going back and forth with the blonde haired woman about giving our table to the other group. This was clearly unfair when we wait at least an HOUR! After that the blonde hair woman took me to the table and told me that the Caucasian woman with black and red hair said that I was a Gremlin (outrageous) and that she would snatch my wig off my head (insulting). With everything happening me and my friends still sat down and was waiting, they came to get my card and license for the table which I complied. After that the blonde haired waitress said that the security wanted to talk to me which I did not have a problem, and then it turned from them wanting to speak to me to the police being called FOR NO REASON. We were treated distasteful by this group of disrespectful employees. I was insulted and threaten by the Caucasian with the black and red hair. But the police came for us?? She's the animal. I will not never return to this location. I have way better treatment at the no way in Starkville. Y'all were racist and distasteful. 10/10 do not recommend. We recently wanted to eat some dinner after bowling just next door, so we gave this place a try. The party of 3 consisted of 2 adults and a baby. We were seated next to speakers, where music was blaring in different volumes depending on the song. This was not immediately an issue, but after we got our drinks, a couple songs were really loud as others were okay. The softdrinks come from your regular fountain, however a water filter is not installed. Depending on the day you get either coke or coke with bleach/chlorine (local water treatment). Seriously? Unless you buy a water filter and install it with your fountain, I am not coming back. Just to make sure it was not an off sirup, I ordered coke, diet coke and fanta, but every one of them had the bleachy off-flavor. We ordered "The buffalo chicken as a starter to share", a small plate of the house speciality pasta and a Mexican dish. We were served the typical nachos and canned salsa, nothing special, but also nothing that can be screwed up. After about 20 minutes, the mexican dish arrived. "Wait, didn't we order a starter?" Unfortunately, staff is not very attentive, so it took another five minutes until my pasta came to clarify. We have been told, the buffalo wings take 25 minutes, we will get them soon. I cancelled the order of "to share starter buffalo wings". They are listed under appetizers in their menu - if I order an appetizer or a starter, I want it before my entree, not during or after. The waiter should have told us that the second, two people ordered three dishes, that they can't bring it out in the order that we requested it in. My wife was happy with her mexican dish. The house speciality pasta was medioce and drained in sauce, the ratio was far from right. After eating the pasta with a spoon to try to catch up with the excess supply of sauce, I still had a third of the shallow bowl left. When asking for the check after finishing our plates, the buffalo wings have not been taken off and we had to argue once more about them, because the waiter insisted they would come out shortly. I was amazed at the size of their jumbo margarita and needed help drinking it. Service was super fast and great considering it was pretty busy. I have on many occasions turned a blind eye to racism because its Mississippi and I know how people are. It doesn't mean it's right but it exists. No way Jose has an extremely Racist manager. It is evident. They Can't even fake it. Smh! My friend and I ate there last night. We paid and tipped well over 20%. We were still eating and the manager kept trying to force us to leave. We weren't causing any problems or loud. My friend asked for a Togo cup after we were constantly harassed about leaving. We have been here many times but will no longer patronize this business. When we asked why were we being rushed off after taking our plates, he exclaimed he needed the table. There were four visible, vacant tables and only two people standing around the door. Before we could even finish a glass of water this guy called the security guard over to our table. Once we talked to the security guard he even agreed that we didn't do anything wrong and he didn't know why the guy was rushing us out. He apologized and talked with us outside. My friend contacted Hoolio who is over the franchise at the Greenwood location and he apologized and stated he would do his best to rectify the situation. I normally don't post these type of things but No Way Jose is really running out. First the camera posts accusing the wrong people for not paying and blasting them on social media. Not saying that that was wrong but everyone that they posted were not the people that didn't pay their ticket. May not mean a thing to any other people, but you just missed out on these two paying customers. Best Mexican food in town! Service is absolutely amazing you can always tell that the waiters and waitresses are always there to make you experience the best possible at this restaurant. The environment is upbeat and more modern than most Mexican restaurants playing the top hits music always in the background. All employees are well dressed and always on their toes! This restaurant is simply the best in town with at least 6 flat screen televisions mounted so that everyone can view a favorite sports event while they enjoy their meal or drinks! During the past six months or so I have noticed an overall improvement in quality of the service at No Way Jose's in Cleveland, MS. Waiters and waitresses have been more attentive, friendly, and bring the food out timely. The menu is full of variety, from great tasting authentic Mexican dishes to delicious American cuisine including fried oysters cooked to perfection! Not over cooked, as is common in some Delta restaurants. They also have some of the best chicken wings done right in Cleveland and the very best guacamole dip in town. Their margaritas are simply awesome and fairly priced, offered in a variety of flavors and often at a discounted price during promotional specials. I've never had a problem with parking or need to call on a manager at this location. read more
