The piercer who originally did it had pierced it incorrectly, and the L-shaped stud was bent, which was causing all the irritation. Thankfully, I went to Latin skulls someone experienced who fixed everything. He repierced it correctly and replaced it with the proper nose stud. Such a huge relief! I got my helix piercing done here last summer and I advise some caution in doing it here. The place…read moreitself is very nice and clean plus the piercer who did it was very kind. However I believe he truly messed up the piercing itself. For context I already at one done so I understood the healing process and everything. Immediately after the piercing I noticed the bar was a little short especially considering it is supposed to be longer to account for swelling and then after a couple of weeks you are supposed to downsize. I thought maybe my ear just swelled right after the piercing so I let it go. I noticed very quickly that it was just too short of a bar to allow for proper healing. I tried to take it out after two months of dealing with throbbing pain. But since this jewelry was a twist earring and my ear was swollen it was impossible to remove myself. I had to go to another piercing shop to get it removed and get a new piece the correct size put in. The new piercer acknowledged that I was in fact pierced with the wrong size bar. But I was like at this point it has been so painful I just wanted to move on. However a year later of taking care of this piercing I am continuously dealing with issues of pain and swelling. I truly believe it has to do with how the initial person at this shop pierced me. This is very disappointing to write because I truly believe it is important for people to know and how even a year later I am still dealing with issues with this piercing but my first helix piercing is perfect and I never dealt with these things.

I had been playing around w getting a tattoo and this just felt like the right moment. i looked up local female tattoo artists on yelp and up popped Carpe Diem. 5 minutes later I was at the shop talking to the owner who quoted me a reasonable price and promptly introduced me to Saint. She took a copy of my inspo pic and got to work on the stencil. she came back with 3 sizes to give me a choice..how thoughtful was that?!! I chose the largest size and she got right to work. She made me feel comfortable as she worked on my shoulder and we chatted about life and love. i couldn't even tell you how long it took as i was so relaxed in her presence, metal playing in the background, feeling my anger slowly fade away with each stroke of the needle. She started a color count down, letting me know she was almost done. that's when the tears started. I swear it wasn't from the pain!! it was just from the exhilaration of being done and the release of anger. I practically ran to the mirror to see the finished artwork. Due to a required sterile IV lab for one of my pharmacy courses, I needed to remove both of my studs. My prior experience with my original piercer was not the best, so I knew I needed to find someone better. I decided to check out this place because they accept walk-ins, and also, the time that they open just correlated best with my schedule. Immediately, I explained to the piercer there (@STABBEDBYELLIOTT) about my situation, and he was able to remove my studs with little to no hassle. Additionally, he provided me with new studs (at a good price) for when I return to get them back on. He also, without me asking, provided me great tips on how to make sure that I take good care of my ear piercings for the long term (his aftercare tips are on his business card as well, very helpful!). Overall, @STABBEDBYELLIOTT is very knowledgeable and excellent at what he does. You can sense he's very passionate about his work as well. I highly recommend anyone, most especially individuals who are thinking of getting their first piercing, to check him out. I promise, you won't regret it! read more
