Recently, our office was faced with enormous challenges regarding our web presence. We always…read moredreamed of having a more cutting edge and modern user interface, but due to factors beyond our control, we had been forced into using pre-existing content management systems from our parent organization (i.e.- ColdFusion, Terminal Four, AngularJS). When the complexity of our situation became apparent, we decided to reach out to Overit to see if they would be able to handle the project (since we had heard such great things about them). Within days of submitting our request, Overit's team had written up a well-defined proposal for us, and soon enough, we began collaborating together on rebuilding our site. I am thrilled to say that Overit was not only able to take on the project, but excelled in every aspect of its facilitation. Their web developers were able to work within the infrastructural constraints put forth by our parent organization, plus add new and improved interactive features that engage our users in new and innovative ways. They also helped to work with our IT department to make sure that the site's transition (from the beta to live version) went securely and efficiently. We have been so happy with the initial work of the company that we have recently started even bigger and more ambitious projects with them. With their expertise in web and graphic design, content creation, and promotional strategies, I know that we are in the best of hands with them. Highly recommended!

Overit's team took the time to understand our members from a user experience standpoint. They were able to help us innovate and expand upon our current web presence while staying true to our membership base and their expectations. Our new website required an incredible amount of knowledge and expertise in both the design and development realms. Our project presented dozens of challenges, all of which Overit handled with grace by offering intelligent solutions to our problems and optimizing our member's web experience. When we worried that our older database would limit modern web functionalities, Overit found creative ways to navigate these issues, and kept us in the loop throughout the year long project. We enjoyed working with Overit so much that we tapped their talent further to create videos and marketing strategies to help us build hype and excitement around the launch of our new website! I would highly recommend working with Overit Media for all of your creative digital agency needs. Dan Dinsmore's staff is a curated group of knowledgeable professionals who were never afraid to get their hands dirty. We are very happy with the quality of work, and our members are, too!

    TALK 1300

    TALK 1300

My addiction to talk radio started with listening to the great Bob Grant on WABC in New York City…read more From Grant to Lynn Samuels, I loved the medium and recognized it as critical to local discussion. Social media has replaced it to a degree I suppose, but I still think it plays an important role in our public discourse. It appears some other reviewers have slammed this station primarily because of their political views, so I will try to balance the scales with a fair review. Talk 1300 is a small city radio station that has a mix of local talk, showcases local business and features some syndicated hosts. The morning drive host (and part owner), Paul Vandenburgh, is entertaining and brings passion and pointed opinion. Love him or hate him, he generally keeps listeners engaged with hot topics of the day. And while Vandenburgh is not quite as cranky as Bob Grant was, I would like to hear him shout at a caller, "Get off my phone!!" The State Capital show with Fred Dicker is always enlightening and features a fair number of high profile guests to discuss state and national politics. Some of the local guests are especially insightful, e.g., Sal Ferlazzo, Steve Coffey, Socha, Marini... There is a small stable of regular callers who can be entertaining. M.A., Tony from Burnt Hills, Tom and a few more. Although, I wish they spent more time on callers. That is the magic and color of local radio. On the CON side... Some of the other local hosts can be predictable, and quite honestly, don't delve much deeper than bumper sticker level discussion. The local "news" appears to be a regurgitation of headlines from local papers - there is no real news gathering. Whenever Paul asks the News Director a question about a current topic, he will stammer and add little to the discussion... often just repeating the same scripted lines he just read. Some of the regular guests can be a bore. For example, the guy from the local bank who is always stiffly plugging mortgage rates and branches in Florida. Yawn. I change the station. Overall, Talk 1300 does a good job doing what it is supposed to do: aggressively discuss local issues and wave the pom poms for local businesses.
