He never upsells, you tell him what you're looking for and he'll recommend what he thinks works best for your needs. After about ten minutes, we finally got a chance to talk, told him what I needed and handed him my keys. Came back that evening to a work of art. The tints definitely make a difference in heat reduction. Can't recommend him enough. His price was slightly higher than others have quoted me, but I'd rather pay for quality than work I'm not familiar with.

The tint looks so clean and professional that you can't even tell it's aftermarket. it honestly looks like it came straight from the factory that way. Not only does it look great, but it completely transformed the appearance of the car and made it look newer, cleaner, and more refined. Every time I get work done, I'm impressed by the results. Thanks again, Kyle, for another job well done! Highly recommended.

Thank you Carlos for the great customer service, he took the time to explain to me and my wife the differences in the tint film types. I told him I wanted something that would give me privacy, good heat rejection, and that would not obstruct vision at night, with good quality film and Carlos delivered. My wife's car looks great, we got a 18% in the rear windows and 25% in the front and 5% on the sunroof, car looks great and stays very cool. Great value for the service and product I purchased. Highly recommend San Diego Tint Specialist, make sure to ask for Carlos.

First of all I…read morelooked up where to do my tint and I got multiple options, based on reviews and ratings I decided to ask more about this location. Initially I requested to be quoted on yelp, no response for a good amount of hours which isn't a big deal since I just decided to call and was able to get my quote quickly over the phone. We were able to set up an appointment and he actually set it at 8:15am because I asked for it to be done soon because of work and he had another client after when he's usually at least I've seen open at 9am which I can appreciate. When I came to the appointment there was a positive and a negative, the positive is he helped me decide on the right tint 5% on back 45 % on front 2 and 70% windshield CXP but there was a spontaneous 60$ increase to my price from 700 to 760$ due to him running out of the tint i was initially going for and switching to CXP which at first I was skeptical but I think the result was worth it and it comes with a *limited* life time warranty. Overall 2 hiccups, it's not a big operation & the guy who helped was very polite and explained things very openly which I can also appreciate, I'm happy with my experience and result and I would definitely recommend this place to the people I know as well as any person reading.

I came back here because he had the earliest appointment available. I had the tint done in late January 2026 and went with a ceramic IR tint and went darker then what the owner Andrew recommended. Fast forward to June - July the tint was not reflecting any heat. We contacted Andrew and wanted to charge an additional $250 to essentially remove the tint and install a new tint. The excuses from the curve of the windshield etc.. and just refused to take ownership / responsibility for a bad install or incorrect tint film used. We have 3 other cars all with front windshield tints done by AMB and blacked out tint and have ZERO issues. Needless to to we will not be doing business here again will not be recommending to families and friends for any future services. Take your business elsewhere because this is not the place it use to be. We have been getting tint on our cars for over 15 years this isn't our first time !!!

I had an extremely upsetting and disrespectful experience with the owner over the designated…read morehandicap parking space. I was using the handicap parking space because I needed accessible parking, but the owner confronted me and demanded that I move. His reasoning was that it was his property, and he went as far as questioning my condition and saying he did not believe I actually needed handicap parking. A disability does not have to be visible for it to be real. A business owner should not take it upon himself to decide whether someone's medical condition is legitimate or whether they deserve to use accessible parking. Being confronted, questioned, and told to leave a handicap parking space was humiliating and completely unacceptable. People with disabilities deserve dignity and respect--not judgment because they don't "look disabled enough" to someone else. This experience showed me a complete lack of compassion and respect for people who need accessible accommodations. Based on how I was treated, I cannot recommend this business. I would strongly encourage others to consider this experience before choosing to support this establishment.
