This is my wife's favorite place in Washington to eat. And for Chinese buffet, it is pretty good…read more You can order off a menu, but most folks just go for the buffet. After being shown to your seat and your drink order taken, you can begin filling your plate immediately. They have a good selection of chicken from mild to very spicy, and, if you get there after 3:30pm, they have crab legs that are pretty good (this coming from a non-seafood person). They do not have General Tso's chicken, however, and if you order it off their menu, they will serve you the Sesame Chicken on the buffet, General Tso's style (over white rice with steamed broccoli on the side). They also lack other Chinese staples such as egg foo yung and orange/lemon chicken. Their egg rolls are good, and they provide chopsticks upon request. The pricing is very fair, as well. One last point: This little place has over two dozen cameras. It has more cameras per square foot than Walmart, by a wide margin, and that's saying something. I'm not sure why. Don't pocket their egg rolls to take home, I suppose.

First impressions are lasting impressions and sometimes the most accurate... If the interior looks…read moregrungy, bordering on dirty, then I question the kitchen, the place we should really be concerned since we don't see behind closed doors. In fact, I held off on using the restroom, because of the condition of the dining room. I was liberal in giving 2 stars (vs 1 star) only because the sushi offered was decent in quantity and quality for a buffet, and extra effort was put into the fried rice with diced veggies and meat; the sushi chef did his job. However, beyond that, we weren't impressed. I tried a bite or two different chicken dishes, General Tso and Sesame Chicken, and some sort of a peppered chicken; they were doughy, heavy laden and soggy, as if they'd been swimming in a broth the entire day, and I couldn't honestly identify the meat. The offerings on the buffet were typical but quality fell short. I'm hopeful management will make the effort to clean up its act and offer a cleaner way to enjoy a meal out with a decent variety of options. Ok enough beating up this establishment; the plus side is it's an inexpensive choice for families in an AYCE environment. Decide for yourself, but I'd suggest choosing the hibachi grill where you choose (and see) your ingredients and watch it being cooked fresh. Otherwise, maybe avoid this place altogether... There has to be better choices in the area, or God save us all.
