Having major surgery in November actually made it all the worst having to stay in bed for nearly two to three months. And then Covid hit...um, Let's just bypass that entire conversation. I have been craving specialist who can really dig in deep without the high pain and relieve that tension for good. Not just a quick fix. I had a really good chiropractor before my surgery that I loved but, the pain, of course, always comes back. Found Ben Monday via Yelp and continued researching and reading the reviews on google. Everything I read seemed in line with what everyone else was saying. They were all really good things. The fact that Ben wasn't going to give a relaxing massage is exactly what I desired. Booking was super easy and I went yesterday. He was not what I expected. Though professional in his knowledge, he has a really great and shining personality. I can't wait to grow our rapport and get back to a healthy and functional me. The wisdom he shared regarding what triggers what and what needs to be released and adjusted where was really eye-opening to me. It all let me know that I've been really hard on my body for the past few years (especially since I don't remember the last time I even stretched)! but, what gave me great hope is that Ben has no doubt in his mind or expertise that I can get my body back where it needs to be. That is so important to me. Looking forward to our next section next week!

Then, one day, I saw an ad for a Rolfer and they promised structural integration. Now, what does all of that mean? I didn't really know but I was interested enough to try it out. I set up an appointment with Rolfer and Craniosacral Therapist, Craig Ellis, and began my treatment. After the first session, I could already feel a difference. It was like magic. I made another appointment before I left and was instantly sold on this Rolfing technique. Each visit brought improvement and the pain in my back started to vanish. Craig Ellis is a certified professional and is highly skilled at what he does. Each session takes a little over an hour and is focused on realigning your body like it was meant to be. Although the therapy is not mainstream, people should set aside their skepticism and try it out. I was an instant believer once I started seeing Craig and still recommend him to anyone that complains of back or neck pain. These sessions produce lasting results. My massuese said my back muscles were so knotted that they felt like armor. I heard about Rolfing from Shana and was willing to try anything at this point. But after hitting each area I could tell the muscles were relaxing and lossening up their pressure on my spine and nerves. This helped me get my back to normal immeasureably. I would be willing to try for any other body part which had similar issues. I think the cost was near $100, and well spent.
