just now New Wow...that's the first word i said when I tried their food...it was super yummy! My husband and I ordered the Egusi soup, fufu, pepperoni pizza, and chow mein. All amazing, high quality, and flavorful. We will be back for more. I highly recommend them for catering, meal prep, or even a day when you just want to eat oit but still feel healthy. We did their delivery service before and they packaged the food so neatly and it was still flavorful and high quality. They vacuum seal the food so no spillage. Nkwagala Concept is absolutely amazing! We have ordered food both for pick up in person and for delivery, and the foods taste amazing! My wife and I are 100% Alkaline Vegan for years now and its really hard to find some really good food places to eat. We were so lucky to find Nkwagala Concept. Their pizzas are fully alkaline and taste so good! Their Hi-Mein is the best we have ever had in the alkaline community. My wife also loves the Egusi soup and orders it everytime we order food. Their Mac Wings tast amazing as well! Juices are super good too. I can't wait to try their cinnamon rolls and cupcakes that they started making. All their food is super fresh and on my last order they even through in some room goodies to try. And they we really good. Not only is their food good, but their customer service is incredible. This is my first time trying African cuisine and let me tell y'all: Good experience, Great food. My most favorite item from their menu was their Mac wings w/ Cucumers. I got Agave syrup with it. They're seasoned well. Its pretty healthy, and delicious. - 9/10 The Ogbono soup, delicious. Has spicy kick into it. Its almost has a herbaly gravy taste, comes with mushrooms for protein. Its hard to explain, but I like it. Comes with Fufu, a type of starchy/sticky dough, cooked already. I got Oat Fufu. Pinch a generous amount of Fufu by hand, dip and slide in the sauce and enjoy. My first time trying Fufu. It tastes like Oaty Sticky Rice. It easily gets you filled, so I suggest sharing. Pretty interesting texture and taste. - 8/10 read more

How delicious this food is!!! We picked up our food from the very nice Chef Paul & his lovely wife Tiffy instead of going all the way to the lounge. Chef Paul makes his food with care and is so very proud of how he makes everything fresh using alkaline ingredients. His love of his food made us more excited to get home and eat. Our order came in 2 bags and we thought it wasn't that much food, but once home and opening our bags, this magnificent food was packed so tightly, still warm and absolutely delicious! Drop everything and go eat at Nkwagala Concept! OK but seriously, plant eaters, meat eaters, everyone.... this is some of the best food I've had in my whole life! The flavors are mind-blowing. Like a homemade meal and the best restaurant food come together. I drove 30 mins to get it because sadly I do not live close. My faves: James Brown Salad and the Egusi! I actually ordered extra and froze it Everything is delicious and I can't believe we don't have more amazing food like this. I've attached a bunch of photos, they are the JB salad, the Egusi, the Biko Soup and the Katogo (). My preference is to eat it with rice instead of the fufu, but I know many people enjoy the fufu, I just find the flavors are yummier with rice (or just alone). "Nkwagala Concept Cafe" serves healthy African food and it is soooo good. This was me and my husband's first time trying Egusi and fufu and let me just say, we enjoyed it. It was fresh, hot and delicious. The owner said we would like it and he was right. He was a very nice gentleman. We also only needed to order just one serving and it was fulfilling for the both of us. We look forward to purchasing some more Egusi from him when we're back in LA. read more

I don't write reviews, but I am highly compelled to for Nkwagala. I tried Egusi Soup once from a place I don't remember and it was not a great experience. I was only able to handle maybe three bites at most and called it quits. I thought, "Maybe this just isn't it for me". Today, I decided to be brave and try it again.. It arrived piping hot which was awesome. I took a smell of the fufu and the Egusi soup and it smelled good! I took a bite and jeeez.... FLAVOR BLAST! It was absolutely delicious! I got full halfway, but kept forcing myself to eat more because it was so good. The portion sizes are BIG so I'll definitely be chowing down on this again later tonight. So I ordered here after sun went down on the sabbath and wanting a large vegan family style meal that wasn't your typical unhealthy vegan fast food I was pleasantly surprised when I found there was a relatively new unique restaurant in my area with a alkaline based menu immediately I was excited about trying something different but was a bit intimidated by the menu and the names so I gave them a call and was greeted by a women who was beyond helpful and patient and clearly passionate about the offerings and walked me through a few highly recommended dishes and even a shake that I didn't get a chance to picture below. I followed the recommendations and placed my order, she assured me that they make everything fresh so it'd take around 35/40 minutes which was perfectly reasonable when I arrived the location is pickup only and can be a bit confusing as you arrive at the Wilshire Royal in dtla area across from wispa if you were looking for a walk-in establishment with a sit down ambience, but there is a sign outside that signifies you are indeed in the correct place you just call and someone brings the order to your car simple enough and like many new pop up restaurants around the city these days. They also offer delivery through Uber eats and door dash which is great for the night in. Now when I get the order i immediately had an eruptions of smells and flavors filling my car the whole ride back home causing my mouth to water and my imagination went wild thinking of what the dish's were gonna taste like boy was i surprised at how much flavor and taste and the new textures I was In for given I never had swallow foods before and my first instinct is to chew but once I got used to the fufu and combining them with the okra soup it was second nature everything was delicious and perfectly seasoned with love and care you can really tell they make all fresh from the cutting of the mushrooms and the way you can pick which oil you'd like them to use and the breading style you choose everything seems tailored to the customers preferences which leaves you feeling special and well taken care of as if someone in your own family cooked the meal for you! Well done! I'm glad I took a chance and checked this place out and I will be going back again to try a few other dishes and get more of that matooke with onion gravy!
