Let me just say that the Matooke was my first experience eating burro banana and it was the most palatable, nutritious and overall delicious plate of food I've had from a pickup order. It literally melted in my mouth. The owner and chef of Nkwagala came outside to greet us with his flavorful charm and energetic warmth, which spoke to the soul as much as his food. If you're ever in Wiltshire, LA area these should be the only people you order food from. Not a healthier option around. Might be the one of the only healthy delivery options, if not the only one. One of my ABSOLUTE favorite places to eat at when I'm in LA. The owners are extremely nice and generous with the portions. The food is made fresh to order and they use the best ingredients! So please be mindful of that when you order because the wait time can be a bit long depending on how busy they are , and also their prices are a tad bit more BUT again , we are paying for quality , quantity and overall experience of indulging in VEGAN Nigerian cuisine . 10/10 from the food to the vibes . I'm SO thankful for Nkwagala cafe! All their foods are so yummy! They really know their flavors! It's honestly out of this world how they make everything taste so incredibly delicious.Having so many options from such a delicious alkaline menu has been life-changing for my son and I. My son was starting to get tired of my cooking, and the smell of the fast-food restaurants down the street had him getting curious about those unhealthy foods. I didn't think they could pull off the Egusi Soup considering there's no meat and the fufu is made out of this healthy flour not pounded yams but they really surprised me! They got a kick with a lot of their food, but that only helps with that flavor that bursts in every bite. Service is also impeccable and Louis is one of the dopest food truckers ever. Two very talented and humble chefs run the truck and they are not afraid of suggestions or recommendations! I'll point out my favorites from their menu and some from their catering menu (yes, I ordered catering from them for Christmas) Ceviche- Seriously so good!! When I first tried it at their soft opening it was very spicy, I love spicy but I pointed it out through their DM and they kindly took my suggestion of maybe making less spicy for others that can't really handle the heat Smash Burger - SOLID comes with fries or tots depending. Eggplant Rollantini- OMG! I'm so glad I decided to try this because this is my favorite!!! It comes with spaghetti on the bottom and just all the flavors in this dish is just so satisfying! Borracha tacos - VALUE! 3 tacos smothered in meat and sauce... CCC Churo Chapsal YUM! There's always room for dessert! I had their Lomos but it seems like every review talks about their lomo so I'll skip and move on to some of the catering dishes I had. For Christmas catering we had the Lomo, Mediterranean Chicken, Spaghetti Meatballs and chocolate bread pudding The Mediterranean Chicken is absolutely delicious! The chicken breasts were so soft and tender, I had to read the menu again to make sure it was chicken breasts! I would totally order a whole catering portion for myself next time. Their guava lemonade makes me very happy haha Oh! They have something called the FUEGO SAUCE -- It is not for the weak.. it will set your mouth on fire but it is SSOOO good. Every time I go I ask for a tub .... HAHA I put that S** on errthang!!! One of the best local businesses! They are on Grubhub too so you can get it delivered to you. A must try in Koreatown --or ... wherever they decide to pull up HAHA

Just to give you a frame of reference, I'm a regular at the Michelin Bib Gourmand…read morehonored Burrito La Palma, recently visited Senor Birria in Downey and have eating at the Instagram famous Teddy's Red Tacos but Jefita's Kitchen matches up or is better than all these renowned LA birria spots. I had the pleasure of tasting their tacos, burrito and mulitas and, oh boy, it did not disappoint. The birria was stewed to perfection where the shredded meat was juicy and flavorful. With each dip into the consomé, where the magic happens, made me anticipate my next bite even more. Outside of Jalisco, LA has the best birria scene in the world and Jefita's Kitchen competes with the best of them.

As we searched for caterers for our event, we kept running into the same issue: the vegan options from other caterers were few and far between and were almost always uninspired dishes like unseasoned quinoa stuffed bell peppers. Then we found Veganics Catering. Emily's menu options are all amazing and we ended up with a wonderful mix of food that our largely non-vegan guests loved. No one was missing meat when they were eating the Jackfruit BBQ sliders and everyone loved the seitan and veggie fajitas. Veganics is a wonderful catering company and I strongly recommend them to anyone wanting to serve a vegan meal to non-vegan guests. I do not plan on getting married again, but I will use Veganics again if I do!

These cats can make it ALL. I barely scratched the surface. The masters behind this operation can and will help you figure out whatever you're looking to plan for a menu. Healthy hippie vegan? Check. Decadent, sugary, dessert filled vegan goodness? Check. Comfort food style vegan pastas and burritos and sliders? Check, check, check. Emily and Doug run this ship and they run it well. The food industry can be such a stressful environment but these two are always chill, they're always nice, and I guarantee they'll cater this shit out of your next shindig... whenever that may be. Speaking of shindigs being on hiatus due to the current crisis we're all working through I think it's important now more than ever to support your local food crews. My lady and I are taking out pizza. We're getting Thai to go. Pasta? Let's get it. All with appropriate handling and care at home of course. And I learned just last week that right now Veganics is whipping up weekly menus for pickup and delivery which they post on IG for easy ordering. Two days ago my wife and I straight up WRECKED some jasmine coconut rice with tofu, stir fried veggies with tempeh and rice, some split pea soup, all ended with a perfect rice crispy treat. YUM. All those capital letters were intentional. @veganics, check them out. Like I said, I've been tapping into their food wizardry for awhile now but the weekly posted menu is a must-see because lets face it, we're all cooking a lot and that's great, but I know we miss that good take-out vibe in our home and I'm guessing you do to. Anyway, now's your chance. Once the world goes back to "normal" (whatever the fuck that means) Veganics will be back on that special day-private event-wedding-Oscar party-beach side celebration schedule so I'd get a taste of their pick-up menu while you can. Look at the reviews and their IG, they don't lie. And if you miss this review or are staying safe 100% on lock at home I totally get it, but definitely flag Veganics for those parties we'll someday be experiencing again. A post Covid-19 party catered with exceptional Veganics food and about 10 metric tons of wine, anyone? Sign me up. Shoutout to Veganics, can't get enough.
