Went to try Indian food in Lafayette. This restaurant was very cute and has a big menu of options to choose from. We were served pretty quickly. Ended up getting the mango lassi which was really, really good. I really liked how the mango wasn't bitter and all the ingredients were pretty evenly tasty. Also got the bhindi masala. I asked for it super spicy. I was kind of disappointed it tasted only mildish to me. The tomato base of the curry was nice. I didn't really liked the okra in this dish. It was very much undercooked.

Not exactly a good photographer but it was good

Lamb Rogan Josh was good. Their garlic naan was on point today. Shahi korma was not good. Honey chili cauliflower was ok.

I visited Njoy twice during my sojourn in Lafayette. Both times, I encountered friendly service and AWESOME food! Everything was made fresh. The soup was delightful, the bread was incredible, the curry was perfect. I tried the Gongura curry, and it was very different and extremely flavorful. I'd never had that before, in the nearly 50 years I've been frequenting Indian restaurants plus one long visit to India itself. I was pleased to be sure. I also got biryani which was also extremely rich and flavorful. The second night I still had leftovers so I just got a chicken tikka. This is a dish often made too dry but Njoy did not murder it, it was tender and delicious too. I cannot find fault here! Add to the fact that they've got outdoor seating and the staff comes out frequently to check on you when you sit outdoors. One cannot go wrong here.

5 STARS- Vegetarian Bagara Baingan delicious!! They asked me about the spice level and I requested mild and it was perfect with a nice hint of spice. Hubby says Curry chicken was 5/5! I'm a garlic freak so the garlic naan bread was 5/5. Our waiter gave us a compliment serving of a dessert made with simolina flour, ground cashews & almonds, raisins, pineapple. Very nice to cleanse the palate. Not overly sweet. Very good.

Chicken Tiki Masala, Gobi Manchurian, Lamb Rogan Josh spicy!

A new opening in the Laffy area. The staff here is a big part of the rating. The owner waited our table and was just charming the entire time. The food was so flavorful and the portions were big enough for the healthiest of appetites. The Chicken Tiki Masala was absolutely magnificent. My Lamb Rogan Josh (spicy) was full of tender lamb and spiced perfectly. The appetizer was the Gobi Manchurian. Spiced and fried correctly. I'd highly suggest giving this restaurant a try. You absolutely won't be disappointed. I can't wait to get back and work my way through the menu.

That said, I'm in Lafayette every few weeks for work and I've eaten at a bunch of restaurants there and I'm pretty sure this is the best restaurant in Lafayette, hands-down. I love Indian food and I've had Indian food all over the world - Priya's is just as good as any of them. She's in the kitchen every day making the food that you're going to eat - you can just look right past the curtain and see her. It's so good and so far away better than everything else in Lafayette, that I cannot recommend it enough. Stopping and see her order the butter chicken or the vindaloo and the lamb samosas and I promise you will be happy.

Priya puts a lot of care and love into every single dish and you can tell that she truly wants everyone to have a good experience. That said, upon arrival, we did wait about 10 minutes before the server finally came over to take our orders. This place is extremely understaffed given the demand so the food also took a while to arrive at our tables. We ordered the butter chicken and the yellow cauliflower, two dishes that were warm and flavorful but not completely transformative. The roti bread was also a bit underwhelming as it lacked flavor and puffiness. The naan was a little bit more promising but given the price point--left much to be desired. We also noticed that all drink options are grab-and-go but nobody tells you that when you walk in. (We figured this out after watching a few of the regulars grab their beverages from the fridge.) One high point is that the service was friendly enough and there was a complimentary soup brought out to the tables before the meal is presented. All in all, while it is easy to enjoy the samosas and hummus dips sold by Priya at the farmer's market, the dining experience of being in her actual restaurant needs a bit more fine-tuning. 5/10 for this one ~

It's different enough to feel exciting, but still comforting if you're a fan of classic Indian food. Easily a new favorite.

(Not the Indian spicy which is considered "very spicy") & it was perfect in every way. The sauce is not sweet like butter chicken but reminded me of chicken 65 flavors as it was also served with a slice of lemon and topped with purple onions. The biryani (seasoned) basmati rice was added flavor. I'll definitely be back for this again. The portion was enough for 2 servings. Oh it came with a side or carrot & onion raita ( homemade yogurt) to help cool off the mouth when eating a spicy dish.I love raita and I would have enjoyed more of it but it was a nice surprise. I didnt order naan (as the rice was filling enough as a starch) but next time I will because why not.

We came by on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too crowded at all, only a couple other tables. We shared the samosas which were good but not great. They weren't bad just didn't blow me away. I also ordered the chili chicken I've usually had Sichuan style so I didn't know it would come in sauce but it was really good! Not too spicy. For my main I got the malai kofta and paired it with the paratha. Everything was so flavorful and fresh. The dumplings were perfectly spiced and soft. The buttery paratha paired so well with the rich sauce. It also made enough for leftovers the next day which I always love. Not in the area often but highly recommend to anyone who is!

Then I remembered this Indian restaurant that I tried before, even though my husband has not. I visited this place back when it was still smaller and had not expanded yet. I still remember the food being delicious so I was really excited to come back. We went around lunch time and it was not too busy. We decided to do the buffet since I knew they added it after the expansion, but I never got a chance to return until now. The buffet was 19.99 per person. I am not sure if that was a holiday price or the regular price. The food was amazing and full of flavor. I really enjoyed the mushroom masala and the butter chicken. Their goat curry was also very good, the meat did not have any strange taste or smell. I do not usually like goat so I was hesitant, but this one surprised me and I actually liked it. The service was super nice and attentive. The server noticed we did not have naan because they were out at the moment, and when the fresh batch came out he brought it to our table right away. He talked to every table and made sure everyone was doing good, and he also listened to feedback. Everything was great, but me and my husband both felt that having a few more food options would make the buffet even better. The selection was still on the smaller side, although I do understand Indian food can be more expensive and time consuming to prepare. I do wish they had samosas and garlic naan. The regular naan is good but garlic naan always hits different. If you do not want buffet you can also order plates instead. After about thirty minutes I noticed a lot more people started coming in, which means this place is well loved and popular. Overall it was a good experience. The price is a little high for the amount of selection, but the food quality is top tier so it still feels worth dining in. We would definitely come back again
