We had an initial consultation to discuss our needs and the cost however after some consideration, my focus of the work I wanted done changed and therefore needed a new price. Well this joker thought it would be ok to just start the work and upon completion sends a picture showing the trees and shrubs were taken down BUT he never had our approval to proceed! He never told us the cost. WHO THE HELL DOES THAT! He claimed to have called and says no one answered. There was no voicemail there was no text, this unprofessional landscaper took it upon himself to just do as he wanted! He comes to my home, without approval and just did what he wanted ! Then to top it all off, he asks to be paid when he doesn't even do the job I asked for and when the remaining work is pointed out, he has the "you know what" to say, that will cost you more money! So if you contemplating going with this company, DON'T! Save your money and keep scrolling. Dont get suckered in!

He also put in a rock swale on the edge of the fence and as a result the hurricane hit in 2021 and we barely noticed. Our yard was stable and dry while neighbors on both sides were flooded and eroded. All of his staff were extremely professional and neat and there were no surprises on the costs. Everything is fully grown out and Danny has stopped by a few times to make sure everything was growing in nicely. They did the leaf cleanup for us this past season and left everything spotless. The town building inspector was impressed with how well they handled the slope. To the point of some of the other reviewers, yes, sometimes you have to wait if you want the best people but it's worth it.

Cannot say enough terrible things about this landscaping company. I found them on Rockland mommy…read morefacebook page a few people mentioned them, I should have read further, that is where I failed. From the beginning they were terrible with business care- phone calls unanswered - yes I actually received call backs from others who were booked so a call back is the least that can be done. To the down right disrespect. Danny- who was albeit knowledgeable and seemed nice enough. He showed up 20 minutes after the window he was said to be arriving, I had to confirm myself to make certain he was still in fact coming. No phone call for that either I guess they just don't take their business seriously OR they just don't need the business or my money. But don't waste my time! He mentioned our wasn't large and that the job was relatively simple a few hours or so within the next few days. I had someone with me who I had to double check with when they told me two days later, "you're new here, I know you don't understand, but us getting to you in two weeks is a gift!" I don't need a gift I need to deal with a good reputable business man and his receptionist. Who in fact do not lie. Our quote for clean up was INSANE, they apparently just did what people do when they dont need the business and quoted me an astronomical price for yard clean up and weed removal. I went with someone else for this. The grass was taken care of by them and the quote they gave me in fact did not include tax! Why would the price not be clear from the start? It seems nothing about this company was clear honest or present. I am sure people love Danny but this entire experience was far from the warm welcoming that should hav been prompted. Lastly, I own a small business and if I treated people the way I was treated by this company I would not blame clients for canceling or not showing up!. I asked them not to return after 6 lawn cuts because to be frank even those for my "small area" were sub par.

The crew showed up as promised and did a phenomenal job of making my property look like is should. They removed a huge overgrown yew tree? bush? And gave me a huge amount of usable yard space back. They trimmed and shaped a number of others and removed 1 storm damaged tree and 2 others ..the best part was the trimming of an overgrown tree that was blocking the view of the lake in my yard. Now we can enjoy our property as it was meant to be enjoyed. The crew were extremely professional and polite they kept me in the loop as they went along and constantly checked in with me on questions regarding my satisfaction. The price was extremely fair and the work was top notch. I highly recommend Midhurst tree care and I am not an easy guy to please These guys are true professionals that love what they do.

The man who represented the company (Lars) knew every tree name and made great recommendations, When the crew arrived, they were perplexed and didn't know where or what forsythia bushes were, then when I showed them my oriental dwarf maples, they didn't have a clue how to shape them. He called Lars and was given things to say to me , like it's a personal preference how to shape an ornamental tree. Incidentally the tree was already done shaped however overgrown about. Next the worker started to tell me that the original plan to cut a branch above the weeping cherry was wrong, and 10 branches needed to be cut. At this point, I realized that I was dealing with nonprofessionals. Not Arborists. When I called Lars he said he would stop over but was not going to stay to supervise the job. It was prudent to stop any work before it got started because the company was misleading . Do not hire
