I wanted to have some photos taken after we…read moregot engaged (to use for Christmas photos, etc.) but we weren't sure about a venue that would capture "us". Linda suggested a few ideas and the whole experience went flawlessly. She knew what questions to ask and then was very creative with her recommendations. She sent us a contract, we completed it and returned it. She also sent some great suggestions for the day of our shoot (what to wear, make-up tips, etc.). The day arrived and we went confidently and felt comfortable that we had done our due diligence on our end. During the photo shoot, Linda made us feel so comfortable. We actually hate having our pictures taken (especially my fiance, David). But it went so smoothly and quickly that we both were so thrilled with the experience. I had the fortune of working with Krista on two super fun projects this summer - First up were some…read morestudio head shots and interior photos for my business and second, we teamed up to work on a wedding stylized photo shoot together. Krista rocked them both with true grace, creativity and professionalism. Krista has a superb eye for detail and knows how to frame her subjects from interesting perspectives. She is also hilarious to be around - which is a bonus. When I was in front of her lens Krista made me feel at ease and we basically had a giggle-fest during the shoot - which was great because I really don't like having my picture taken, but she made the process easy and fun and I felt like myself during the whole shoot. Krista is also awesome because she has great advice about how to sit or stand to look your best when being photographed. She brings out the best in her subjects - which was something I got to witness again when I had the pleasure of watching Krista work with our bride and groom models during our styled shoot. I don't think "thank you", "bravo" , "well done" or "highly recommended" quite capture the way we feel about Eliza. She became our ally, our friend, our confidant, our trusted adviser and our eyes during the most spectacular day of our lives. Somehow Eliza managed to be present and available for all the important moments, and yet, I don't remember being aware of the camera at all. As I look through our wedding photos (and yes, 5 weeks after the wedding we already have them), I find myself tearing up, laughing, humming and giggling along as I relive all the moments of the evening. BRIDES RUN FAST!!!…read more I unfortunately had a very disappointing experience with this photographer and would strongly encourage future couples to carefully review their contract before booking or just consider this and don't book with her at all! I booked her for my wedding and paid $4,212 toward the photography services. Months after signing the contract and making payments, she informed me that she would not be able to personally photograph my wedding due to her pregnancy. While I completely understand that life circumstances happen and I genuinely wish her the best, the issue was how the situation was handled afterward. The contract specifically states that if the vendor cannot perform the services, the vendor must either find a replacement acceptable to the client or issue a refund based on the services rendered. I did not agree to substitute coverage because I booked this photographer specifically for her style and work. At that point, very little of the contracted services had actually been provided. Despite this, I was told that the deposit and payments would be kept. To me, retaining over $4,000 when the photographer is unable to perform the service that was originally contracted feels extremely unfair. She offered to send me back $2,106 as an act of "kindness" (her words). Wedding photography is one of the most important parts of a wedding, and couples deserve transparency and protection when making such a large investment. Unfortunately, this experience left me scrambling to find a new photographer on a short timeline while also trying to recover funds already paid. Since reaching out to SO many destination and wedding photographers they have all said this situation is something they've never heard of and she should have offered a different associate if I wasn't pleased with the first OR offered me a full refund. Unfortunately I had to report her business to the better bureau and file in small claims. I hope this review helps other couples ask the right questions and protect themselves when booking wedding vendors.

I fell in love their work through various wedding blogs, and hired them to shoot our wedding that took place in August 2009. Dorothee shot our wedding and I can't believe how amazing out pictures are. Somehow she was able to be everywhere at once! My husband and I agreed that on the day of she was the perfect amount of "present" (guiding people, getting people together for group shots without being pushy, somehow always there the exact second I needed to talk to her) and "invisible" (she got a ton of great candid shots.) While she is only in Seattle part time, she still makes herself really available to answer questions, and is proactive about showing samples and figuring things out. Not only is she a fantastic photographer, but she's really sweet also. Just the sort of person you would want at your wedding.
